I have a manual G80 and am considering getting your stage 1 software tune but have a question about the difference between the software and the controller:
Does the controller work similar to a COBB Accessport where I can install and uninstall the tune whenever I want, like when I take my car into BMW for service as an example?
Also, does the controller need to stay attached to the car or can I unplug it when the tune is installed??
Are there different map slots on the controller?
Do you tune the car for specific parts I have installed and the type of fuel I will be running?

No, the Cobb access port is a flashing tool and ours is a piggyback. All of the BMWs produce after July 20 20 have locked ECUs that in order to put software on the car it would have to be unlocked using femto in Finland.
The performance controller does have maps for different fuel already preset on there that you can select on the fly when changing between 91, 93, 100 octane fuel.
