Staying true to the original design as much as I can, I remake the the classic table top game Rebound out of maple wood. Like any woodworking project we ran into a few challenges along the way.

#woodworking - Jak na to + styl
Ok, at first, I hated the song. But then, as it kept getting remixed and emerging in the soundtrack, I liked it more. Good job.
Great video. I have been enjoying the upcycling and reimagination of classic things. Cool direction and fun to watch.
Agreed. In the past I haven't enjoyed some of the artsy videos. These are really good. Inspired me to make one top
This "series" you have been doing lately is an entertaining and creative take on the normal woodworking videos. I have been really enjoying them.
When I built mine last year I also added some leveling feet to it after so you could adjust it for a perfect game.
You really classed up the original game! The finger cots were a nice touch 😂
I like the brand of humor found throughout this video. Interesting build. Thanks for showing it to us.
Remember kids, always practice safe gluing. Hilarious "Coney Island Whitefish" money shot. Pure Picciuto woodworking comedy gold!
Probably the most expensive version of Rebound but…. SO COOL!!! Brings back so many good memories. Thank you Sir!
Kingpin playing on the TV! My favorite movie of all time 😂
Hey Dave, how about making a big brother to this one as a video project/series?? I think it’d be awesome to have a giant version of this like one of those shuffleboard tables you see in bars!!!
Even the movie playing in the background was retro! 😎
One of my favorite classic table games.
Next up: Skittle Bowl!
This is the bomb! Your new videos are epic. Can't wait for the next one. You was a domino and a bandsaw away using all of the tools 🤣🤣. Love it!
Yeah, I noticed that most of the tools joined the party in this video. I was expecting a little torch work somewhere in it.
@Bob T252 🤣🤣 you're not wrong. Bloody brilliant as ever to be fair!
Though, wasn't enough Sand in the place for me. 😅😅
He used the bandsaw!
That Sam I Am cut makes me smile every time! :)
7:34 - "Woodworkers love overkill," says the man with an absolute Death Star drill press. :)
That song is DEFINITELY going to be stuck in my head all day. 😄
As a kid of the 70s (born in 70, actually), this game was played A LOT during the winter months in Connecticut when there was no snow to go play in. I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw the thumbnail. EPIC REBOOT on this!
I heckin' love the music remixes you've been dropping lately. "Still some holes, pound some pegs!" That slaps!
Love that you had Kingpin playing in the background
This is fantastic! Kingpin playing in the background so classic!
What a great idea! I love wood table top games. Here's another challenge for you. I would love to build a table top wood baseball game. I have seen some ones that are kind of like a small very basic pinball machine and a little bat at the bottom where you can hit the ball. This has been on my mind for a while but I haven't come up with a design that I like.
Kingpin in the background is a nice touch.
I had that game! Haven’t seen it in 50 years or so! Thanks!
Great video. Great Game had it myself . 55 me . Crossfire another Great Game from the 1970s
Love the end result on this.
Definitely one of those "If you don't have a laser, use your CNC... If you don't have a CNC, use your laser!" type projects.
You should absolutely look into Crokinole if you haven't already. That's screaming out for a Picciuto version.
ha! True. Thank you!
I came down here looking to see if someone suggested Crokinole. I'm glad you did, I'm sad you beat me to
So happy you kept the "rebound" graphic, it's awesome. Love seeing everything but the kitchen sink being used!
Maaaan, this brought back memories of playing that game at my grandma and grandpa's house. Very cool concept you've got groovin' where you fancify nostalgic objects. I respect your marketing mind. The build was nifty too.
Lovely idea with remaking that plastic thing 👍, great for drunken party’s lots of fun 👍
I love that King Pin is on in the background while you work. Love that movie.
Great project! And absolutely no comparison to the plastic original. The new one looks fab!
Thank you!
Very fun project to watch, and beautiful results. Your assortment of high tech machines is amazing. I spent many hours in the 1980's playing Rebound with my 3 kids. A simple but rather fun game. Your video has inspired me to consider making a wooden version for my grandkids, it will be much simpler design due to my equipment limitations.
That was maybe the coolest thing I’ve seen you make! I definitely want to make one for my dad for Father’s Day (he loves tabletop games).
Dave, this was great~!! I had this game as a kid and we wore it out~! The other favorite I had back then ('70's) was the Verti-bird. Those vintage toys were the best~! Great job recreating this~!
Did you remake the pucks from your first version? The resin part seemed a little thick but in the end shots it looks thinner and rolled better too.
Really cool project! Loved the drill hole pound peg montage.
Very cool, looks great, love all the details. The walnut against the Maple makes it. I remember playing that game when I was a kid. 🍻😎
and of course you have King Pin playing in the background - nice tough Dave !
Oh, the memories! Thanks for the walk down memory lane and the great project build!
Great stuff! What a beautiful piece…….very envious!

I want this. I want this very much. But for my kids. For me!! Great job man.
Loving these upcycle projects and the new focus on making what you want, without the “how to” aspect. Really lets your creativity shine through!
David, another banger.. Also love the sly humor you keep inputting, very subtle but I love how these videos are capturing your personality!
I made something like this for Christmas. Your's is so much better. Love it!
I love this! I grew up at the same time as you, so seeing all these old games being remade is so awesome. More!!! 😃
I've been watching and subscribing to woodworking on CZcams for years, and I just found your channel. Ok, I didn't "find it". CZcams just finally got you into my right side. I saw your thumbnail holding up this classic game, but made from wood? I got to check this guy out. Going over the top and diving into the extra details is what my projects are about. I really like how you take the viewer through your process. So glad I "found" your channel.
Blown away by your creativity and reverence to the past. I want one for my home game room.
That's an awesome, creative, and fun build! I love how you used a bunch of different tools and techniques: traditional woodworking, laser printing, vinyl cutting and transfers, CNC routing, and 3D printing to make the project. I've been thinking about and really want to add a CNC machine, 3D printer, and laser cutter/engraver to my little shop. Finding room for them is going t be a challenge. I'll either have to choose one or get a machine that can do all three (or maybe just CNC and laser).
I always love the movies in the background. King Pin
Great project. Thanks for the inspiration.
That came out so good. I love it.
Had this game as a kid, love the build. More dog cameos!
Rebound and Ker-plunk are my two all time favorite childhood games!!!!
Another one of my favorites! Brings back so many memories...way less classy memories, but memories none the less!
I remember Rebound from the 1970s. Your re-creation in wood looks excellent.
Kingpin is such a great movie!
I love the shop vibe.
Absolutely love these upcycling/reimagining videos!
Awesome Job. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep Making. God Bless.
Super awesome. Much better than the cornhole boards everyone makes.
This is so fun! Awesome throwback and build!
I love this game! Great job. The spent glue condom shot made me spew coffee.
AWESOME! Really loving these re-dos and modification videos!
This was a fun build. Great work Dave
Keep drilling those holes and pounding those pegs!
I love the upcycling and the craftsmanship is top notch!
Best build so far. I like it.
Love it! Took me back many, many, many years. Loved playing Rebound!
First of all, I wonder how you keep your workshop so clean with all those dust producing tools. Also, the versatility of the equipment is stunning, this is what a average maker never will have, but always great to watch that these tools exists today. Nice remake by the way, a high quality board that is really appealing. By the way: I like routers, but that has something to do with background as a network engineer :-)
That is awesome. I remember this game as a kid. The board ended up cracked when we moved.
The visual joke at @2:19 had me howling. Finding your Easter Eggs has become pure entertainment! Thanks for the laughs.
Would you honor a request to make a set of Wooden Jarts (the lawn darts game) before this series ends? 😁
It's actually in the plans! I have my grandparents old Jart set!
Beautiful transformation. Love the new resin pucks, Nice touch.
Good thing you didn't pull a Munson on this one! Looks amazing and fun Dave!!
The red hat and beard the
Bill Murray movie “Life Aquatic”
Comes to mind. 😆
I’ve been watching you for years and I gotta tell you, I love your new direction. Remaking these things and the more artistic work is so cool. I can definitely see how much you’re enjoying it too. Thank you for bringing us with you as you evolve.
Now that is a fantastic reproduction David! Your maker skills always amaze me! 👍👍
The level of detail on this one is amazing! Super sick. Love the engraved scoring system and the vinyl goals. So cool!
Loved playing that game with my brothers as a kid. Watching this brought back some great memories. Thanks, and great work. Looking forward for your next video.
Super cool project. Good job.
great project....turned out great.
That’s awesome doing a classic game like that. Can’t wait to see more
Once again, another awesome project, especially using ALL the tools you have at your disposal!
I love this project and this upcycling series.
great one, dave! i love the depth stop on my miter saw... it's my favorite way to make lap joints.
Really a nice idea to take classic "plastic" and redo them in bosi and much more beautiful.
Next project, make the lightbright with all these holes made by hand! :D
Awesome project! I remember the game from when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories. 😊
LOVE IT!! I may have to try this one.
Awesome video!! I’m a long time watcher and this is one of my all time favorites 🙌
This is a rad project!! Nicely done David
Thanks Michael!
My grandmother used to have that game when ibwas growing up! Just took me way back with this video! I really like the videos you have been doing with the thrift store items.
I thought you were not a magnet lover? Beautiful result. Love the music. Great Vid!
Magnets are great when appropriate
Thanks for the video, one of my favorite games as a kid.
Love the mixed martial arts of tools you used to really bring out all the details of the original game.
Love this series, keep them coming!
Awesome 👏 project. Turned out amazing…. Nice job.
This is simple and yet practical project.. and would be good as a newbie/teaching project.
We had one of those when we were kids, great build thanks for the memory .
This is one of the most fun videos I've watched in a hot minute. Loving the series so far. I'd love to see more board game recreations
So glad you are taking shop safety seriously with the finger cots. 😁 Super fun build! Can't wait to see the next upscale project! Thanks for sharing!
Nice, I totally had one of these as a kid!
Love this, table games like this always seem so fun!
It turned out fantastic. Gives me nostalgia for a tabletop bowling game my grandparents had growing up. Thanks for the entertainment and the trip back in time.
I've still got my Rebound too from way back in the day. A game I liked so much never to get rid of. I always love the games they make in Wood magazine too, so this is perfect. You did so much though to make it look like the original too. Awesome job.
