We made this Catan game for a customer in Minnesota. We wanted a one of a kind Catan game, so we used different types of wood for the different resources. I also made the roads, settlements, and cities from different hardwoods. I made the storage box from African Mahogany. I used six different hardwoods for the splines in the corners. Splines make the miters stronger to prevent the miters from opening up.
