Just a bit of fun! What is the worst prediction you’ve ever made?
Thinking you were a good football CZcamsr before this shit video
I thought Burnley would get top 15
City being found guilty before I die
I backed watford to go up this season :(
Not sure it's the worst but a few months ago I was saying Richarlison just wasn't right for Spurs, had no issues with him as a person or a player and knew he was still respected by Everton but he just wasn't the right person to keep around at spurs. After his recent purple patch the opinion isn't looking great
A crossover of James and The Irish Guy was something I didn’t know I wanted but needed
That's an original comment
Watching The Irish guy act sane and calm is so weird 😂
It's funny because I can't stand the over the top shtick of his own channel. This works well though.
@@3bladeninja21this is him toned down? Was finding him too much here lol
@@Daruudes on his own channel he's over the top. Voice cracks every 3 seconds, a metaphor in every other sentence and hyperbolises everything. I personally don't like his content but he's a pretty generic football CZcamsr
His channel is unwatchable
@@Oakeedokee7it used to be dumb fun. Nowadays, it feels specifically targeted towards children.
FourFourTwo predicted Yeovil Town to be relegated in 24th place from League Two every year for 5 years running between 2016-2020, then when they predicted them to stay up in 2021, they finally went down.
Oh my god 😂😂
I legit loled at this.
Yeovil got relegated from League 2 in 2019
FFT also did something opposite with Leyton Orient the year they went down to the National League. Predicted them 2nd...
How is Gary Neville’s “Never been so sure of a win at Anfield” before Liverpool smashed them 7-0 not on here😂
Because at the time Liverpool were worse than United (form wise)
@@xblissfulleexarguably that makes it even worse cause he legit jinxed it
@@xblissfulleexthat doesn't mean they would win at anfield. Their form wasn't better anyway.
@@stevenicol1 yes it was??? They finished above them and were winning more games
@@xblissfulleex no they weren't, Liverpool were in better form. United's form had deteriorated after the world cup and Liverpool were close to catching them.
Jennings probably takes 8 spots on a top 10 list
And the other two r ppl he had contact with
It’s because he’s a hot take merchant without any analysis
@@dannygavin9458the worst part is he tried to analyse
“Rest in peace pele if you’re listening” 🤣
The Irish Guy needs to be like this on his channel. When he uses constant metaphors every second sentence it makes it sound like he doesn't know anything about football
False
Nah that what makes him unique and entertaining
@lewisepicfootycontent5934 makes him very samey after a while though, much prefer this side of him
I personally like the milk baths
Being kind to Rory there. Definitely no coming back from that, don’t think that prediction will ever be forgotten
Amazing the Irish guy managed 12 minutes without mentioning Mourinho 🤣
Irish Guy absolutely elite in this set up!
more of the irish guy in the future👍👍
What’s the Irish guy doing out of his shed?
Michael Beale being a future England Manager was a shameful prediction tbh
just been sacked today, no coming back from that for beale.
Loved having this chat!
I remember someone involved with Blackburn (who at the time were linked with zidane) said why would we need Zidane when we got Tim Sherwood?
On the KDB one, Liverpool WERE linked with a move for him at the time, I remember I was desperate for us to sign him and so disheartened when he chose City instead.
Luckily for me I didn't make a bet on the Irish guy appearing on this show, otherwise I would have been flying to county Kildare and begging him for forgiveness from a shrine in a cave.
Please have the Irish guy on again 👏👏👏
great to see Michael on here, loving this show Jim
Pele’s one about Colombia was one of his more understandable predictions that went awry as they were a very good team going into that World Cup, and he wasn’t the only one who predicted they could go far.
Right?they had humiliated argentina 0-5 in Buenos Aires during the qualifiers. It was a solid team coming into the tournament, but then... Stuff happened
The JLA Irish Guy crossover episode will go down in history
i love the irish guy, his shouts are so-so at the best of times. but he doesn't shy away from it.
We need more of this guys! Both of you should make this a weekly podcast or episode!
WE LOVE THE IRISH GUY ☘️
That Rory take has to be in the No Coming Back, Rory said Haaland would be lucky to score 15 lol
Not as bad as ange being sacked the month he won manager of the month and I'm guessing had spurs top...
Quite funny to slate Merson for not watching KDB then immediately not know Salah came directly from Roma lol
Innit?
That Man UTD fan guy saying "Saka is a sqaud player, next manager after Arteta Saka is gone" on True Geordie's podcast.
Irish guy love to see it, keep up the good work! Both have great content in different ways, but work well together
A terrible underrated prediction came from Mark Lawrenson. He used to do weekly predictions for the bbc and in 2015/16, the final theoretical table of his predicted results had West Ham getting relegated. They finished 4 points off the champions league, and only 3 teams lost fewer games than them. Its the fact that he watched what that Dimitri Payet West Ham side were doing every week and still predicted them to lose is incredible.
Irish guy is a completely different person here
salah moved to liverpool from roma, as did alisson, salah was at fiorentina but then roma bought him. Rudiger was in that side as well, it was the side that got to that UCL Semi final, before Monchi ruined it all
Great pull👍
Kevin Keegan . England v Romania 98 "Only one team can can win the game now, and thats England" right before Romania scored to win the game
Even I knew that Liverpool signing Salah was going to be good. Anyone who thought he'd be a flop was crazy. Obviously no-one would predict he'd be an all-time signing, but no-one could realistically say he'd be rubbish.
So nice of having The Irish Guy here.
Just a small correction, United did want KDB back in 2016. City didn't go unchallenged for him.
Great video, loved it
Adam McKola saying Saka is just another Antonio Valencia has to up there
You could do an entire video on terrible takes from Adam, Rory, and Buvey
At the time Saka didn't have that end product though
Serbia's prediction needs to be in "never comes back" 100%
You missed Stretford paddocks “Arsenal will finish 8th and revert back to their old ways”
I just clicked in this video and I really hope you add goldbridge's prediction for man united to win the UCL this year😂
Starting with Rory’s shout and not ranking it as badly as it was: an all-time worst prediction, instantly makes me question the rest of this video.
Great combination these two. Hopefully, they will do more content together.
love this side of the irish guy. very articulate and underrated ball knowledge
I still watch the Irish guys channel every video but it’s nice to see him in a more grown up setting. Great video!
Glad to see the irish guy on here. Top ball knowledge
Lmao this is such a great idea for a video. Would love to see more videos like this
Never seen the channel, but I'm subbing for sure. Need a good podcast to listen to
I thought Rory's Haaland prediction was sensible at the time. It was reserved, setting an achievable goal. Who had Haaland down to absolutely smash the all time top goalscoring season record in his debut campaign? That would've been a ridiculous prediction. It only looks bad in hindsight.
It only looks sensible if you didn't see him at Dortmund. Haaland had an outrageous amount of goals while looking like an absolute world beater, he had 86 goals in 89 games to be precise. Rory made it sound like Haaland even as a golden boot winner was highly unlikely while saying that "he isn't the player everyone thinks he is". I'm sorry mate, but that's delusional and a sign of bad ball knowledge on his part. There were more sensible predictions of more knowledgeable people stating something along the lines of "Haaland might need some time to adapt to Peps system but he will sooner or later shred everything to pieces", that's about as far as scepticism could reasonably go with Haaland. He scored a ton for a solid but not great Dortmund team, why wouldn't he destroy the Prem in a far superior City team with none other than KDB behind him?
@@reinrassigerStuhlplayers score more goals in leagues like bundesliga than prem because it objectively is a worse league, 15 was probably low but no one could have seen 36 lol
@@reinrassigerStuhlThere are plenty of strikers who have come from Germany with great goal scoring figures who have either taken time to adjust or flopped completely. There are qualities needed in the PL that aren't needed in Germany and even if a player on paper has the qualities to succeed it can take time to fully adapt. And Pep has such a unique style, one that he doesn't generally change from, he requires players to adjust to it so that's another factor that was against him ripping the league apart. The odds were probably on him more being like Rasmus is at United this season than what he ended up being
Rubbish.
Bear in mind how many he misses it was a fair take. Hindsight really embarrasses buveys take as in October spurs were top and ange won manager of the month
Great guest choice Jim
Straight away I feel compelled to point out that Rory Jennings DID say Haaland would flop (twice). The take doesn't look nearly as bad when you exclude that crucial information.
irish guy and JLA, my life has met it's completion
Glad to see the Irish Guy on here, I've been watching his stuff for years. Always fun, and although I don't agree with half of what he says I can understand his reasoning. It's also always fun looking back on comments that age really poorly
Is This a segment we are just laughing into the mic idk but that killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
Hanson's " you can't win anything with kids" has to be the very definition of haunting them. It's the most well known comment he has ever made and it has followed him throughout his entire punditry career.
Pleaseee more Irish guy collabs
Stoked you guys collaborated
Yes! Nicked the only guy not completely clueless and/or boring from the Kick Off.😃 Get him on this channel as a regular
No one better for a failed predictions video than Michael. So glad to see him branch out
Marsch is a worse prediciton than Haaland. Marsch was already known for being dreadful defensively, RB Leipzig had the worst defence in the Bundesliga at the time and he was sacked because of that.
Nice to see the Irish guy branching out. Needs to leave the basement more
Theo Baker claiming he would score 10 goals in the premier league is the worst football take ever
The Haaland prediction was a brave move that backfired. Everyone was saying he'd be great and if you're the guy who said he wouldn't and turned out to be right then you're the guy who can say they called it for ever. Even if that was just in the first season. He bet high and lost that's all.
I do think Rory Jennings talks a lot a lot a lot of partisan rubbish about Chelsea but I grudgingly accept he's very entertaining.
Just watched the full pod on Spotify and I can’t believe Michael’s Bamford tatoo didn’t come up 😂
This could just be a Rory Jennings montage.
The Irish guy at the start of this season has predicted us (Ipswich Town) to finish rock bottom and 24th of the championship. 11 games to go, 75 points, play offs nailed on, 2nd in the table, 3 points from top. Not a great shout 😂
I can’t remember who it was or the radio station, but I heard some audio from just after Stoke last got promoted that we could “end up worse than Derby”
You should get the Irish guy and Amonfootball on at the same time, just two people who view football in a completely different way, watch football in a completely different way but are both amazing in different ways
‘Can’t win anything with kids’ should’ve been in ‘haunting them’. Since, at the time Man United had been champions twice in the previous 3 years, the only players they lost were Ince and Kanchelskis. There were still 7 experienced players remaining from ‘91 who won the Cup Winners Cup in Rotterdam. It also quite literally, haunted Hansen for decades to come.
Edit: Not a Man United fan.
SAMISIM “Fresh Chicken” wrote me off 😂
"Great for [Jenning's] career" is exactly why he made the Haaland prediction. He's a hot-take merchant that likes to drum up drama for clicks.
In my opinion the absolute worst one was Paul Merson saying “Yaya Toure is an average player… Gareth Barry does that job already”, rating his transfer as 2/5 from Barca to City. Oh Paul, that was an absolute car crash….
At the end of this season you could put a job lot of content creaters who said Wolves would whimper out of the PL and Quite a few said Kompany would easily keep Burnley up.
Alan Hansen " you can't win the league with kids "....reference to Fergies young team 😂
For Merse you could've had his "Gonzo" prediction, predicting Huddersfield to go down without a whim
Goldbridge - "Champions league winners will be... manchester united"
If ange goes onto win any trophy while at spurs that'll cement Buvey as the worst take. The turnaround from last season is unreal but whoever wins a trophy with spurs will instantly be up with pep and fergies
Guys, as a Leeds fan who had to watch that Leeds team under Marsch, the idea that he could ever manage another premier league team is lunacy 😂 He was so so tactically rigid when it wasn't even close to working. Somehow, I would have preferred OGS 😂
Garth Crooks is the worst "pundit" in the world, He knows nothing about modern football. His team of the week (BBC) is embarrassingly bad. I wonder if he is under orders to pick from certain teams. If Man City beat for example beat Burnley 1-0 at home they will still get 2 or 3 players in. While if Luton were to beat Liverpool, they would be very lucky to get 1 player in his team.
One of the best ones yet
The fact that Rory said that about Haaland and it had already been done before is hilarious
Think you should do a best prediction of all time too!
“Doesn’t say Correct man Dave” 😂
big fan of irish guy
You could do a whole video just with Paul Merson quotes
I will always defend Rory's take on Haaland, everyone always conveniently leaves out the part after he mentions Salah and Kane where he says there's just too many factors that can go wrong for him, and so to expect him to win the golden boot in his first season is ridiculous just on its face. Mind you, this was before he had ever even kicked a ball for man city and everyone was certain he would win the golden boot and that's what the question was about, not whether he'd have a "good season" it was specifically about the golden boot. Rory was actually being more levelheaded than everyone else at the time, he just happened to be very wrong.
Fairly sure I remember when Stoke and Blackpool got promoted, the predictions for those seasons were relegation from the Championship
Rory DID say Haaland would be a flop, so it´s the worst EVER!
Phenomenal guest
Rory Jennings is hands down the worst pundit.
Honestly the 442 channel is probably one of my favourites
To give Pele some credit, that Colombia prediction wasn't as wild as it sounds. In the qualifiers, Colombia beat Argentina 5-0 and the country sort of lost their minds. They went into that tournament on stilletos as they all believed they could challenge and I think he fell victim of the hype. But at the time it made sense. In the same way, Belgium would have been predicted to win a tournament but then stank out the joint like a Colombia did because of the pressure amongst many things.
Enjoy listening to the Irish guy so much more in his more normal voice speaking to someone!
Rory’s take won’t be beaten for quite some time.
Haaland in a Chelsea or United then yeah maybe 15 goals is a good return as he is VERY wasteful but in a City team that created enough chances for a very average Raheem Sterling to score 20+ every season he was always going to score loads.
Wait i was listening to this and only realised it was the irish guy around the 15 minute
The redemption of Rory's prediction is the fact that Haaland was expected to be rotated more than he actually was. If you also predict him needing some time to settle then 15 goals in 25 matches isn't too far off. But clearly Rory hadn't watched much of Haaland at all.
You need to play the clip aswell!
Jessie marsh did well at Leeds they were doing well the start of the season above relegation when he was let go then they got relegated (that’s what they get) also they allowed him to bring in Weston McKennie a week before he got the sack
Omg Irish guy on a podcast 😮
The Irish Guys voice does my head and I’m Irish
Just get his coat and direct him to the bloody door...he wont be able to find it on his own😊😊😊😊
Was Haaland ever linked to Chelsea from any serious sources? I cant remember any of that in the Norwegian media
IIRC Chelsea were linked with Haaland the season before he joined Man City
But talk was about how they shouldn't blow their money on Haaland then because they could get him much cheaper a season later.
I distinctly remember telling my football following friends that Chelsea will rue not moving in for Haaland when they pretty much had a clear shot, with most other rivals baulking at the price tag that Dortmund had set. He may be cheaper in a year's time, but by then better clubs would be able to enter the fray.
