  • WERBEVIDEO | I've got a HUGE 2 month update on this 130x30x40cm aquarium and I install the best CO2 diffuser of 2022! ⬇️Click 'SHOW MORE' for full video description and links⬇️
    Today we'll take a look at the 2 month update on this 130cm x 30cm x 40cm planted aquarium. The tank sits on a one-of-a-kind acrylic stand and the plant growth has been massive! I'll walk you through how each of the plant species is doing, and we'll discuss what fish I've added. Finally, I'll install the brand new Aquario Neo Mixer, an in-line CO2 diffuser built into the Neo Flow outflow.

    Those red tetras are Serpae tetra (Hyphessobrycon eques)! They are not Red phantom tetra (Hyphessobrycon sweglesi). They are two different species! Serpae tetra can be easily distinguished from Red phantoms by the anal fin of the fish. It is edged in black and white in Serpae tetra but not in Red phantom tetras. Also, serpaes always have black markings on the dorsal fin whereas in red phantoms, only the females possess black markings on the dorsal fin.

    Originated from Rio da prata Brazil its a blue fast moving river the species is called hyphessobrycon eques. Also if I'm not mistaken the second species I see Is
    Nannostomus mortenthaleri a coral red pencilfish.. I also see Gyrinocheilos aymonieri Chinese algae eater. I'm not sure if the silver tetra is another species or just juveniles that haven't colored up yet ,but if I'm not mistaken it can probably be hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis or Pristella maxillaris. Cheers 🍻.

  • @subhankarbhattacharya2940

    How the diffuser in the outflow is any different from someone using an in-line co2 diffuser on the pipe coming out of the cannister filter .. I think the in-line diffuser attached to the canister outflow is much better as it stays in the pipes longer and hence gets dissolved more .. isn’t it ?

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  Před 2 lety

      The travel time of the bubbles 🫧 inside the tubing does play a role, but it’s a minor, when pushed into the tank, the bubbles are tiny and float around for long enough to dissolve. As long as you don’t use a reactor, both methods are equally good dissolving CO2. However the classic inline Diffusor adds multiple joints to the system that can leak, it’s more difficult to clean and depending on the setup can mess up the tubing installation. Give the fact I prefer the Neoflow in and outflow pipes, adding the tiny mixer to the outflow is the best solution in my opinion.

      @gbaquascaping63 Před 2 lety

      @@robita25 with circulation, 02 is granted , and, in other hand, there is an aquilibrium between ph aquarium and ph filter (is a system) . So, if the amount of co2 is correct (dont need excess, 30ppm is fine) , no matters fot bacteria if you disolve co2 in aquarium or filter. For some reason this is difficult to belive fot a lot of hobbist but is true. So, you can use external atomizers in the "in" of external filters without any problem. And, if higher the flow rate of the filter, the better it works 👌

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  Před 2 lety

      I second that. However a possible disadvantage is higher risk of gas build up inside the filter, which theoretically can cause the pump to run dry and break. This is the reason no manufacturer officially recommends this method (I’ve talked to some who produce both external filters and inline diffusers)

    I don’t rate these Aqua Rio inline Co2 diffusers, they restrict the flow too much on low flow rate filters, meaning you need a stronger pump to compensate.
    Also don’t like the skimmer, skims the funk from the surface and pushes it back into the tank so any floating leaf matter has ti be removed manually, not the best idea.

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  Před 2 lety +1

      I agree on floating plant matter, the surface Film however is constancy mixed with water and disappears. The advantage of this system is - food so not trapped inside a skimmer, which often lured shrimps to climb in and never come out
