I opted fort he LIM case for the Q2. It’s made of leather as well. It has a grip built into it, doesn’t need to be removed for battery or memory card changes, and has an Arca compatible slot/slit built into the base. The lens side of the case cover doesn’t rise quite to the height of the Leica case, but it’s pretty close. Great video, thank you.

I just picked u a q2 mono reporter and got a lims case for it. Oh my god, I love it.
heck yea! I got the lightpix and the bowery bag in black leather, swooped the display one for like $100 a few years back on BH.

I have the Q2M and think the Match thumb rest is worth the cost. I also added the Leica grip, which is nicely made, adds fabulous control of the camera in combo with the thumb rest but very little bulk, protects the bottom of the camera, and balances the camera so that it doesn't fall forward onto the lens. The grip also has a very easy to use release for access to battery and SD card. And, yes, the firmware update is a good one and really a must for Q2/Q2M owners.

q3 battery is much cheaper now at $170 with more capacity and is compatible with q2
Great video. Question: when using the flash, do you have to take the thumb grip off? Is that an inconvenience?
You do have to take off the thumb rest but I think the trade off is worth it when you need a flash. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. Will the firmware update override my settings in the Q2, like user profiles etc ?
Yes it will but you can reinstall them via the sd card. Just make sure to click yes when it asks to save the profiles to the SD card.
I would probably prefer the “Leica Q2 (Monochrom) Reporter” because, in addition to its robustness, this camera has a deliberately more subtle look and therefore attracts less attention in every aspect to itself and the photographer because the eye-catching red Leica dot on the front was deliberately omitted.
Well, I have the flash. Now I just have to purchase the camera. The Q3 Bond edition, nothing less.
After the update cannot turn on the Bluetooth and pair with my Leica Fotos app. I've already tried to reinstall the app (turn it on/of), nothing works... Dear Luis, maybe you have any idea, what to do? Thanks in advance)
Hello Luis, How much does the Cinebloom filter degrade image sharpness? Leica rep discourages putting non-Leica filters in front of Leica lenses.
I’m not sure. The image definitely softens up in the highlights. I like the look but if you want to keep the sharpness in your photos, a Leica branded filter might be best. Thanks for watching!
Do you know if that flash works on the Leica TL2 camera?
That’s a good question. I’m actually not sure. This is the only flashed I’ve tried!
since this is a 1-pin flash, it will work on any camera. this is a manual flash, no TTL. so you will have to set the power on the flash itself manually. personally i use the Godox Lux Junior Retro flash. works the same way.
