I told my wife I wanted a pair of subwoofers to replace my 10" Klipsch. Showed her the SB3000 I was looking at and then she saw the PB4000 and said why you don't get those? She liked that it had the display on the front. I told her the price and size, she said if your gonna get a Pair of Subwoofers *"get ones that make a presence"*. God I love my wife! :-)

Hi there I've got one for almost a year now , and yes it's a monster.
After the sub played for many hours , it's sounded better and better ..
I was watching a movie a few days ago ( I live in the Netherlands ) the houses here a not made out of wood but concrete.
My son was in his room in the attic and he came running down and told me that his floor was shaking.
    So be prepared...
It's going to get heavier and heavier everytime you use the sub.
Have a lot of fun with it .
I will buy a second one in a few months ..
    Need to go dual ....
    Please keep it -10 ...

Cool video. I considered the PB 4000, but it was just to physically big for me since I would have no way to carry even one PB 4000 upstairs to my room, so I opted for dual PB 3000's. Couldn't be happier!

Good video. Was thinking about getting the piano black but this video is making me want to get the black ash instead. It looks very tastefully done. There is one of these on display locally in piano black and it is getting scratched up from the little sign they are putting on top of it. Will not hold up as well as the black ash.

Just curious. If you run sub at 0 dB, what are you receiver's sub level?
I run mine at -13, receiver sub level at -9 and actual volume at -20. And that's already scary loud for me haha...

SB vs PB. SB is always better for music. Also, svs is flat tuned so it's likely different bass than what you're used too.

Everytime I use the PB 4000 the sub gets hot at the amp side where the LFE plug goes.
Do you have the same .

Good morning I recently bought 1 sennheiser ambeo soundbar which I am really happy with. I would like to add 1 subw model svs sb4000 or svs pb4000 for more bass. I would like to ask you if by inserting one of these two models I can improve the bass sound more or given the high costs of the models described above, I only keep the soundbar? we are talking about € 2399 and € 2899. for this reason I ask you if by adding 1 subw I really gain from listening to both music and movies. Thanks for your answers

I also have a sennheiser ambeo and am thinking of purchasing the pb 4000. Most ppl have the SVS PB1000 or PB2000. Would be nice to know of some other experiences

Hi bro. thanks for nice review. This thing looks back breaking dude!! Could you, out of the box, single handedly tow this pb4000 upstairs? I mean up a very steep long staircase.

    • @locoboof
      @locoboof  Před 2 lety +1

It’s extremely big and heavy. There’s no way one person could bring it upstairs unless you’re a body builder. I wouldn’t even attempt it unless I had at least one person to help.

@@locoboof Thank you for getting back to me about the pb4000's outrageous size. I won't even bother asking you about the svs ultra giving your reply.
Please help again, I'm in Europe and though these subs are plenty here, they're never ever on display. I'm positive you must have seen these ones: Could you then single handedly, out of the box again, carry a sb4000 or even the pb3000 up a long steep stairs? I've got the sb3000 and I'm able alone, out of the box, to carry it upstairs without needing help. I'm 6"2 live alone and I'm not that strong due to bad back, and if I should ever upgrade there'll always be a need to carry my hifi system in & out to socialize (occasional mini home parties). Thank you in advance .
