    Really interested to see how this river looks after they all grow in, great idea. I have been working away slowly on mine ,new to me garden for the last four years. Very hard work as it was a typical suburban French garden not very interesting and lots of overuse of weed killer. Now the soil is better with lots of worms and we have wildlife too. I love to watch videos of emerging gardens as they give me lots of ideas.❤️👩‍🌾🇫🇷

    Agree. Wild Rose and Black Pearl heuchera are tough as nails *very cold hardy* at least when planted in the canopy of trees. But does look rough in late winter. Sweet tea heucherella is our choice for a splash of peach…. Zone 6 New England

    It going to be beautiful as grows. The colors are gorgeous. Can’t wait to see this later in the year. I just planted some Heuchera’s in my flower bed against the house. Never had them before so I’m hoping they do well. Looking forward to your up coming videos. Love seeing what you are doing.

    Hi Matthew! That heuchera river is going to be beautiful. Actually, it already is with all of the pops of color. I love the way you alternated the colors instead of grouping them together by color. I've had the black pearl heuchera that I planted in a pot in zone 7a. It did well for a couple of years, but I had to throw it away last year because it didn't do well over the winter. I do want to try it again. I really like the wildberry and ball gown, too. I'd like to have all three in pots. The peachy ones are pretty, too, but I tend to do quite a few pink and purple flowers, so they would clash. WO! 600 perennials planted is a lot, no matter what size they are! I hope you can get started on your irrigation soon. Thank you so much for sharing!

    Beautiful heuchera river idea! I see a bench under the beautiful tree. Have you ever seen a seating that is a circle bench that surrounds a tree trunk? Looks lovely but i wonder about eventual tree trunk girth. Am enjoying the more frequency of your videos.

    For those interested Proven Winners has mostly two categories, Primo and Dolce. Primo are the ones that get really huge. Just something to think about when spacing your plants. So double check the tag, not just for the name of the heuchera but under which category it is. So for example, Black Pearl is a Primo heuchera.

    It’s going to be gorgeous! I was at the garden center yesterday and picked up another PW heuchera to add to my garden but at $15 for a 4” container, I stopped with one. Can the average gardener (not doing content creation) get their hands on PW plugs in order to do something similar?

    • @TheSouthernersNorthernGarden
      @TheSouthernersNorthernGarden  Před 3 měsíci +3

      No, not the average gardener. If you have a garden related business you could. $15 for a 4” container is too much though. I’d definitely look elsewhere.

    • @gracehSF

      I try to buy PW heuchera at end of the season sales from online garden nurseries. Even with the sales, PW plants are still pretty pricy. I’m in CA and it’s very difficult to find PW plants locally.
