    "Trust is reciprocal."
David, this is HUGE. Whatever the term, or whomever the source, the concept of starting at Net Zero (trust) is challenging for so many reasons. Often, I ask people what gets in the way of trusting one another. Their answers are always the symptoms... I wanna get after the causes. And THAT - my friend - is why I study mental models. Hat tip to Shane Parrish over at The Knowledge Project!

Nice. Love it. So in a way you could say that Cognitive Trust says "I know that you are capable" - whereas Affective Trust says "I know that you care."

Which would make sense why it would out perform cognitive trust ... because people who care have the ability to grow competency. But competency doesn't necessarily imply growing the 'give a darn'

That's a GREAT way to summarize it. Thanks!
