    What happened to Villa is a warning. They are in Europe with an inadequate squad - and it's only the Conerence League. If Spurs do get into the CL they will need a big squad of good players like Man C. They are nowhere near that. Witness what happened when Bissouma, Sarr & Son were away and Bentancur was injured.

    I don’t t get this narrative that spurs haven’t played well in the first half against palace and villa ! I mean they’re playing a back 5! The only way to get past that type of team is to wear them out first half especially if they play in midweek like Villa .

    The reality is that The press and aggression is remarkably better with Sonny upfront. He delights in charging down goalies and defenders as opposed to Richy doing it just for the sake of doing it. And Sonny's movement gives others spaces to run into.

    • @jagadravimohan3937
      @jagadravimohan3937 Před 2 měsíci

      While I agree fundamentally with what you're saying I will defend Richarlison a bit here. I don't think he's just doing it for the sake of doing it. His effort is definitely there, but it's effectiveness pales in comparison to the like of Son who along with his energy and football IQ has the added benefit of being coached by the likes of a high pressing coaching like Pochettino and defensive coaches like Mourinho and Conte and he's definitely adapted to each of their styles.

      Exactly, Richy presses aimlessly. I love Richy, and I want him to continue to do well, but to me, he's not a starter for spurs if we ever want to achieve anything. He works hard, score goal, but he's still a very much a hit and miss

    Hey chaps. Great vid. I think Kulu is a great talent but some games he just doesnt cut the mustard. I put that down to his age. Still pretty young. Id stick with him though. Johnston though looks leaps and bounds from his earlier outings. Hope he can continue to learn. Another young talent that gets to much stick. Thought he was dropped to sub by Ange to protect him. Hoping the front third can continue to maintain and improve their performance levels. Sarr is just criminally underrated, what a player. Just thinking how were going to be with Richy and Manor to come back. Will be a v. interesting final 1/3 of the season.

    This is the problem I have with some of the so call Spurs supporters they have had a tendency to destroy our young players without giving them a real chance. Let’s unite and support these players.

  • @andyb3712
    @andyb3712 Před 2 měsíci

    My view of it is that Emery was more the architect of the 0-4 than Ange. I think we can get excited about how the players are implementing Ange's ideas but, to be honest, Villa couldn't have done much more to accommodate that. Emery took a big gamble and we grabbed it with both hands.
    In terms of top 4, for Villa this result felt a little like our 1-4 home game vs. Chelsea. It will set them back in every sense, and they won't recover quickly. I think their fans have some sense of that which is why they are so frustrated/angry. They have the same tough games we do, maybe fractionally tougher.
    Imo, it's Tottenham's to lose now, just #COYS

      The pundits seem to have real trouble just calling it what it was - a disgraceful tackle that - with worse luck - could have put another professional out of the game for a long period.
      Commentators are a joke - if that was Romero they’d have no trouble laying into him.

    As a field hockey player/watcher, I've got to say that Angeball tactic are very, very familiar to those used in hockey - side to side at the back looking for holes - attacking baseline runs by fast wingers in from the corners, then a cut-back pass to the top of the box - crosses turned in at the back post - all of it is just how hockey works at all levels from club to international.
