Installed the head after replacing the cam,lifters, and double dog bones. When filling the coolantit is leaking just about the entire length of the head the right side. Do you think it's because of the aftermarket gasket or stretched head bolts?

Hi Joe, I'm replacing a dt466 head and injectors..the sleeves and piston look good. Do you check sleeve protusion on every block...I don't have the hold down clamps for checking protusion...but I was thinking of just putting grade 8 bolts with washer to hold down the sleeve. What's your views on checking protrusion?

I always wondered why they never installed jake brakes on smaller block engines, and 'm not referring to exhaust brakes either.

I have re-used the same head bolts on a few assemblies but it is recommended that you do replace them.

Take off the Lifting hoist you have more room for your torque wrench
