      I do a lot of wholesale earrings Jill, and the vendor I do them for prefers 2-3mm hardwood. She prefers Ash wood. Works out to about a dollar each earring before my charge to cut them, but she gets $19-29 a pair. Here's the wood I order for her jobs: amzn.to/3Hckh1I

      Hi John, with the diode, you have to paint the acrylic black, I use tempera paint since it washes off with water. And I put down aluminum foil under the acrylic.

    Hi Rich. As always, fantastic content... and thank you so much for the earing library.
    When cutting these out of wood, what is the thickness of the wood you use? You've link to Basswood product before on Amazon, and the listing claims the wood is 1/8 inch (0.125 inchor 3.17mm) thick, however, according to a lot of reviews on that product the wood is a fair bit thinner.
    Like you I'm not that artistically inclined, so it would be nice to see how the lady you sell these earings to paints them, and if possible, a rough idea of how much she sells them for.
    Keep up the great work. Here's wishing you all the very best from Ireland :-).

    • @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
      @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy  Před 2 lety +1

      That wood is 1.57mm. I can't get to the flea market though, it's 45 min from here, and I can't post pictures here either. Just google hand painted earrings. Amazon also has a category for hand made. Search hand made earrings.
