Great review. I'm 73 and have driven my S2K as a daily driver for the last 12 years. Not the most comfortable for extended drives >4 hours but definetly the most fun car to drive around town and especially in the mountains.
190,000 miles on my AP1!
And still going strong 😎

Aeee nice whip man. I always loved the S2000. Such a beautiful car and seems to be reliable.
I'm hard pressed between choosing an S2000 (AP1 or AP2) and a Gr86. I want to learn manual, and use always wanted the S2000 even as my first car just couldn't afford it and wasn't practical. I currently drive an Auto RSX so the S2000 would go well with it. Anywho nice car man. Maybe one day I join the squad.
my suggestion would be s2000, but bear in mind what your using the car for since as you know it has minimal storage and no back seats like the 86, the 86 is a great car but inevitably I feel the s2000 is the more reliable and dependable car in the long run. AP1 is known for its oil consumption, and later model AP2 have DBW failures here and there, so the best years for the happy medium is 04-05. I would choose the s2k if I had the choice and planned to daily it and do basic mods while enjoying it. having driven my girlfriends 13 FRS lots it always left me wanting more from the driving experience in the sense it just ha such a boring power band, but it was more practical for day to day driving, but at the worry of having your Subaru engine grenade itself lol. Choose wisely xD
@@ChrisSadowski Ahh ok I gotcha those are all good points. I guess it would ultimately where I would be in the future. Either able to get a sports car to take out on nice days, or get another much newer daily.

You can try Tim at xact in Tempe but he’s getting kinda lazy lately, but I have a guy in Tucson that does tuning, I think he mostly does haltech and AEM but I’m sure flashpro is a breeze compared to a standalone

Not an elitest, just a Motorsports enthusiast. Drive an Elantra, then drive an S2000, or GR86 or MR2 and tell me the Elantra isn’t a boring, fwd, poorly handling, platform with a lack of style.

Forget that, don’t own it at that point. Honda engineered and intended the car to be driven hard and often. If your afraid to drive your car to “keep the value up” then never have sex with your gf/wife so she stays if value to her next man 🤣
