I fold mine in a double then triple flat fold. All edges/corners in perfect alignment. Even if they are in a cabinet and not displayed. Watching this rolling technique makes me uneasy. Granted… I’m not OCD, I am this way only concerning my linens!! 😂🤣

I fold my towels the best way to take up depth on the shelf. In this house I fold the bath towels in half and then half again. My hand towels I fold in thirds the long way and then in half. They both fit the whole depth of the shelf. I have 4 sets of bath towels. I rotate them from the bottom and put clean ones on the top, easier to put away. The roll would be good for going to the beach.
We have our own towels in our own colors and manage them on our own. I like this method because you can stand the towels on end and pick the one you want, or grab one from the bottom of a stack without unfolding anything else
Are you saying nobody else knows how to fold a towel right I've been folding towels for over 50 years, they are clean, they look nice, they don't fall off the shelf, and they fit nicely on the shelves and they fit in a suitcase or travel bag just fine.

Yeah we only did towels up front like that. Nobody has time to roll towels while standing up and trying to load the washer, empty the dryer, inhale something to eat before your double booked 3 o clocks comes in.
This is life changing because I have done this with EVERYTHING, towels, sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. I also did this with the dreaded folded sheets 🤯 - just tucked the edges in to make a rectangle. It might not be massively neat but it is a vast improvement from before 👌.

I put the folded sheets and one pillow case inside the other pillow case and fold what's left of that pillow case over and voila it looks neater and everything contained lol

My favorite way for big towels is to fold it in half twice and then third it at the final step. This way it has the perfect size to fit into your closet and it doesn't fall apart. :)

Way better than what I thought was the best way...which was to just fold lengthwise in half and roll. It always just bunched up more at the end of the roll
Not really practical for closets but I do know that if you don't have a closet or shelf you can use that roll in an over the door hanging shoe rack(the mesh one) it saves a lot of space too

It's folding and rolling, it takes more space than just normally folded. But... if you keep your rolled towels in a basket, it would be ok and decorative.

I used to do that but I have so many towels and with your method they take up way too much space. I simply fold them in half one way and then the other. They lay flat and I stack them on top of each other. This way I’m able to put them all in the linen closet.
This makes storing harder actually... it makes them bulkier and take up more room then simply folding it. Aesthetically pleasing maybe... but deff not better for saving on space.
I started doing this a few years ago because I had very little storage space and holy crap does it let you stack and fit towels in places so much more easily.
I have rolled all of my kitchen towels and wash cloths ever since I heard Tim Allen say “rolled is better than folded” on his comedy show. It’s true- I can tightly fit twice as many towels into my kitchen drawer when they’re tightly rolled AND they stay tidy and in a straight row.
