Hello! I am so happy I found this video. I am currently at a community college trying to get my credits necessary to transfer to Slo for civil engineering. Do you know how hard it is to get into slo as a jr transfer? Can you tell me anything you know about that and what you recommend?
I just asked my friend who’s a transfer for Comp Eng since he probs had better input: “SLO is hard to get into. I got rejected the first time out of community college while aceing all my math, science, and engineering courses. They are very strict about the requirements they set. It is their very first weeding out process. Beyond that is GPA and demographics to play a part.” Another friend of mine transferred from Pomona and said : “I transferred between cpp and slo and the csu breadth/igetc is the bare minimum. number of units is crucial bc u cant even send in your application on CSU without having the minimum units (i believe its 90 semester and 120 quarter to be upper division transfer). cpslo has gotten more competitive over the years so GPA as well and here is a link to engineering specific recommended/required pre-requisites that help you with your standing” You may also be able to find more info on Cal Polys site if you haven’t look around there yet! Hope this helps
Civil engineering sounds so cool but hard at the same time! You are so strong to do this
Thank you! Yeah it can be tough at times.
i'm a computer science engineer so i loved listening to this video! so glad you decided you chose the right major
computer science is soo interesting!
I too despise chemistry, but this was very imformative
Yeahhh 😅
omg i sucked at chemistry, thanks fo sharing this video!
Thanks for watching!
we all start from somewhere !
yeahhh
Thank you for this video! I’m thinking about transferring to cal poly for civil engineering.
If course! Cal poly is definitely the place to be for CE!
Omg i want to go to cal poly for civil engineering but im still confused with their programs and stuff
what about it is confusing? maybe i could answer some questions
@@KailaDanielleOnline I just don’t know what program to take cause I want to work in the field with heavy machinery and stuff
ohhh okay yeah that could probably answered through some research! maybe depends on whether you want it to be mechanical work or something else
