If Pippen was in this age, he would've gotten so much money. He was a great leader, great passer, probably the best and most versatile defender of all time, a good scorer, super athletic. But the differences in era's in the NBA with changing rules, size, competition, athletic ability,etc... Rodman and Scottie Pippen were right when they said that if Jordan played today, he would average 50 points a game. Because who's going to stop him today, in a league where hardly anyone plays defense? There's no hand checking or body checking. Then throw in the fact that the court has been spread so wide with all the 3 point shooting, Jordan would have had a field day. In the 90's many NBA teams had what were called "enforcers." These guys weren't on the floor because of their scoring prowess, these guys were goons, and they were there to intimidate and regulate the paint. That meant no easy dunks, layups or rebounds. They made opponents pay physically for every point they got in the paint. And then you had to deal with shutdown experts like Gary Payton out on the perimeter. Jordan played when the NBA was still a contact sport.
