And I get that the "real beef" is still pretty new, but also come on man it's three minutes and you can make sure you don't even have to talk to each other. Only so many chance most of that team will be alive to celebrate properly. It's just unfortunate.

The first point the man made was that he thought MJ, The Goat, should have been there. Then he gave his thoughts on why he believed he wasn't there. Stephen A admits that he is well acquainted with Jordan, but he didn't make any excuses for him. But I guess when you want to criticize a person, truth doesn't matter.

As a Bulls fan, Mad Dog is 100% correct. Krause deserves flack for blowing up the team but he was the best GM in the league for years, without him building those teams MJ wouldn't have 6 rings. Even when Jordan left in 93 we were still competitive because of his team building.

Krause was the best GM but he still blew it all up out of jealousy. He told a dynasty at their height "I don't care if you go 82-0 and win it all, its over" Krause didn't care how the players, coaches, and fans felt then, why should Chicago care now? MJ didn't even invite Krause to his HOF induction, why would anyone expect Jordan to show up for Krause? Because he's deceased? At the end of the day Krause got what he wanted, everybody left and he received ALL the credit for their failures since. Krause's legacy could've been the best basketball GM of all time but instead he's the GM that built and destroyed the best team all time.... btw I don't think Mrs. Krause deserved any of that, they could've applauded for the victories at least.

Without Jordan, there is no dynasty. The Bulls were on their last legs until Jordan arrived. That's what every GM/organization does. That's their job. What made Krause the best GM in the league? He didn't draft Jordan, and teams making the playoffs without their star player isn't unique to the 94-Bulls.
The Bulls have had two decades to honor the '96 Bulls team. The fact that they waited until NOW to induct them into the Ring of Honor perfectly explains why they are exactly where they are.

The East was wasn't very good except for the Pacers. The Knicks had a fluke year. If the Spurs were the best in 1999, then yes the Bulls would of beat them.

It’s not Michaels or Scottie’s responsibility to show up if they don’t want to. The bulls should have known better, no one in Chicago liked Krause. So why would they think bringing his wife and family would change that, the bulls are at fault here in my opinion. Watch the video. They booed Jerry when his face was shown for 10 seconds. Then the arena showed his wife and everyone stopped booing and started cheering.
Let's be clear. The people weren't booing Jerry Krause's wife. They were booing the man himself. The boos started at the mention of his name even before they showed her on the screen. I'm a Chicagoan that was present for the dynasty. I lived it in real time. Chicagoans understood what Krause did to build around Jordan. We gave him credit. But we also give him credit for tearing it down the way that he did. Which is why the Krauses have had to deal with this type of reaction for years. The man got booed and heckled everywhere he went. This isn't a product of what was shared in the Last Dance. As a Chicagoan that was actually around to experience the dynasty in the moment, I can say that Stephen A is on point.
Let me also say, we don't give Reinsdorf a pass either. Not only does he own a middling Bulls team, but also a middling White Sox team. Neither of them have been anything to be excited about in recent years. Calls for him to sell both teams are a constant.

But the amount of out-of-town stupid I’ve been hearing this week from people who feel like they can lecture Bulls fans on the history of what happened because they watched the Last Dance is comical.
Stephen A is right. Krause wanted to rebuild after 98. He told Phil you can go 82-0, I don’t care. But what everyone is forgetting is that Krause wanted to break up the team after 1997. He wanted to trade Pippen to Boston for those two lottery picks the Cs had.
Krause was so desperate to rebuild and prove he could build a contender without Jordan. Yet in the 5 years Krause was still running the team after they were broken up, he couldn’t even get the Bulls back to the playoffs. And it took John Paxson, who replaced Krause, another 2 years to get them there.
The only thing I agree with Russo on is Reinsdorf. He was the owner and could override any decision by Krause, but he didn’t. He let Krause be his human shield. It was the same thing in the Last Dance. Krause got a lot of criticism, and rightfully so, but Reinsdorf kinda got to skate by, which he shouldn’t have. Reinsdorf is one of the worst owners in sports.

That's always been the most puzzling Sports story in history to me, " The Last Dance" for a Bulls Team that had won 5 Championships prior to winning the 6th and this Jerry Crouse Guy says " hey that's it, I'm busting this thing up?" Feels like some mob pressure or something that lead to him making that call. Just think, 28 yrs later, not a single championship appearance! Not a Bulls Fan, but it was just crazy that they voluntarily stopped this second best championship run in the history of the NBA.

I'm a life long Bulls fan, and I witnessed the 90's era. I do not blame MJ or Pippen for not showing up (their personal beef is a different story for a different thread). Ultimately, Chicago does not need a "Ring of Honor," primarily because they already have enough accolades and the Ring of Honor is essentially a gimmick. Also, the Chicago Bulls fans were not boo'ing Mrs. Krause, they were boo'ing the memory of Jerry as a GM. The only GREAT move Jerry made (in my opinion) was drafting MJ. The Bulls never won a chip before or after MJ played for the team. Yes, Jerry was a decent GM, but pushing out MJ and Phil Jackson before the dynasty was finished is basically unforgivable (as it pertains to sports). I don't know if the Bulls could have won more chips if MJ didn't retire the second time, but we at least wanted to see...Some people are taking this way too personal, it's about the team not the person. I think the media is hyping it up for content as well. Hopefully this news story will eventually fade away with the rest of the largely irrelevant noise of sports media.

My original post was made immediately after watching the video, I wrote from memory, which is often incorrect. The sentiment of my post remains the same...Bulls fans don't like Krause because of how he contributed to MJ's second retirement from basketball. It's not about his wife, it's about the team.

Krause had absolutely nothing to do with MJ's being drafted. Krause was a scout for the White Sox the year Jordan was drafted. The Bulls were purchased by Reinsdorf a year after Jordan was drafted. If you closely examine Krause's record as GM, he likely would have whiffed on the MJ pick.
