It good to seeing black man like Magic Johnson Successful
He cant keep it tight.
Be real Magic, Its bc your boy lachina James making LA a circus not Walton!!
@@Black_inheritance97 He's a man. Not a black man.
The way he handled the question that the White Boy asked him about "regretting his decision" was Masterful!🤗
He's the definition of class act. The man sat there, told the unapologetic truth WITHOUT bashing or taking personal shots at anyone he mentioned. What a great example for taking the high road amidst all the negativity surrounding him. Awesome guy!!
yes
G Butler. he is truly a great guy
Personal decisions are always the best decision period because its vital for mental and physical wellness. It's not a high road but the best alternative decision. Much respect for and to Mr. Magic, it takes a lot of courage to walk away rather than stay in a bad situation.
@@evettescott5317 I'm not sure if I agree with personal decisions always being the best. What if I have a personal choice between between two negatives but a business decision between three positives? I do, however, see your point. I believe he made the decision as part of his natural logic of who he is as a person. The "high road" statement was my opinion interjecting. I'm curious. Do you have a degree in philosophy? If not, someone needs to give you a diploma! God bless
Then consult God first and what he whispers in your ear is for you. So what you see must have been revealed or guided by the voice of the only person left to speak with. Two lesser evils is still evil but the first bad choice could be the worse from the start. What's left is what's first, God of course, God of the universe and you. Free Rkelly
Lakes lost imo
Magic a real one for telling us exactly what transpired,I believe him.
Was it the music that got you or the tears? 😆 lol Ngl though given the current state of America, and the history of the Lakers treatment of their players I believe him as well bro.
Magic is an honest Angel among a pack of SORRY wolves.
@@wayne5552 kwame brown look him up!

Magic is so full of class. Seems like a really great guy.

Class doesn’t always run the world ! Class is not a prerequisite requirement for everything in life ! 🙄
@@chariotwofilthy8374 why you have to bring god into it !
What does class have to do with what happen ! I will give him that he’s is a very wealthy and successful businessman in his own right but as the Lakers president he Fail ! 🙄
I like the way Magic Johnson doesn't want to put people he worked with in the Lakers organization in a bad light, even by saying Luke Walton had some good points as well, class act, and a positive personality, a good role model and all around nice guy
I always hated Luke was our coach. He did nothing to prove he was a good coach. He only got it bc he was under Kerr back when GS was balling. And it never flourished with LA
Wow 😳
Yaw ain’t never gonna make me hate magic Johnson
my sentiments EXACTLY!!!!
@@eyewatch2see77 I love the guy he's to respected for a reason

I’m with ya 1000%. Breaking our live for the GOATS ain’t gonna happen!
EXACTLY!!!!! NEVA!!!!!!!
The Magic man, will he ever be replicated in modern day leadership in sports. In my sixties, I cannot recall a man with the physical talent, the ability to step back and make amends within his personal life, the ability to connect with teammates, the public, ownership, family. A man with integrity, demonstrating honesty, a desire to make everyone better, selfless. What an articulate, caring, intelligent forward thinking individual, just a pleasure experiencing his journey. Stay safe❤️🙏🏻
Get off the mans tip .. jesus
@@off-recordbeats4258 LOL...another modern man......living in fantasy land.
Earvin Johndon is one of a kind
Magic is a man of the highest character, in business, as a teammate in sports, as a leader in both. I trust in Magic. He will ALWAYS be my favorite player of all time and will ALWAYS be the greatest Laker of all time, i dont care what anyone says
They hired Magic as a figure head to draw talent. He sniffed it out then left.
Exactly!
@@chiniechinchen yeah, bug he doesn’t need anyone’s money.
@@jmiogo literally, magic is rich asf
I agree 100%. A good move on his part. You have to look out for oneself. That's just life as we know it. Magic, for me only, is a candidate for the greatest of all time. What a wonderful guy, from what I've seen. And I've not seen more than any more than the general public. I base it on what I think it takes to be a good man. HE is that. 👍🏿💯
@@chiniechinchen It wasn't about the money. He has plenty of money.
Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. You will not hear two more passionate players of the sport called basketball. The amount of class between these two men cannot be measured by any instrument on earth. I'm glad to have been alive to witness both of their careers, passion and skill set. Long live those G.O.A.T's 👍
Is the "read more" glitched out on this comment for anyone else besides me

No read more for me. My comment is not long enough.
Magic is so classy,,, great interview
*crafty
Classey magic plastic polution!
7:10 "No, Just ROb.." part still kills me- lol
I learned during my own career that when you groom your successor, they always betray you.
It’s inevitable.

Teaching the tricks of the trade then they use them against you that's the name of the game wise man
@@bigchuck8422 never a truer statement
I know this is an old video, but when Magic said "Shaggy P" , that never gets old lololol
Mans can't pronounce swaggy I guess
Magic is the only person that could quit on the Lakers, go on TV and spill the tea on the front office and still be universally adored by Lakee fans 😂
Just saw this, Magics realisticstic view on business and basketball together had to make a difference. Props to Magic and the Lakers for getting it right, long time suns fans since the early 90's when I was 6.
I love Magic Johnson through and through one of the greatest players all time. Hearing talk about Love presentence being 2019 gave me a chill head to toe.
lol anyone else noticed Stephen A said “Rob Pelinker” and Magic said “Shaggy P”?😂
I had to rewind “shaggy p” a few times to laugh some more.
I like how transparent he is
You can't see him?
@@jimoleesyt1577 That's John Cena's job
Magic is The 🐐 GOAT
The moment this gentleman started to speak, my soul gave diagnosis based on apperance and the speech: what a nice, kind person he is.
Good for magic he’s an amazing player/person and deserves so much better
Magic got played, big time: There's a lesson there, he ain't going to say what it is.
Then how about you tell us?
I will Tell you. It's called white privilege/racism . Attempt to use a black man for profits.
watch trading places
What an incredible interview. Magic said it straight.
Man seeing Magic almost crying at the start kinda teared me up fr.
The drama being attached to anything Lebron brings lol
Me too
from a 2 year old clip? You're a chick then.
Truth, Magic feeling betrayed by the LAKERS in an era where no one has any allegiance to any team anymore.
Did y'all know when Magic did show up for work he was walking around firing low income employees. Do your homework. No one liked him. RIP Kobe
Forgot Kobe was alive at this pt
Yup same here!!
Magic Johnson: Shaggy P
Stephen A. Smith: Rob Pelinker
Ikr old timers lol 👂🤔😂😂😂
Magic Johnson: CHAMPION as an NBA player & MLB owner ....
Magic had already given the Lakers "his best" ... THEN he took his magic elsewhere to achieve the rest (which is a good thing)
@Eilliw Nodrog OF COURSE he did
didnt you notice Magic raising the championship banner on opening day, that was ceremony day when they all got their rings
@Eilliw Nodrog Magic was at the game when they won the world series
(it was televised) duh!!
ALWAYS stand up when you shake a man’s hand! 🤦🏽♂️
Yes - Standing up shows respect and integrity🦅🙋🏽♀️🦅☀️🦅☀️🦅☀️🦅
@@kathyborthwick6738 respect yes, but not integrity
@@MrAthiestapostle Interesting
Respect and integrity go hand in hand don’t they?
@@kathyborthwick6738 for sure - I just think integrity can’t be determined by the way we shake hands, it’s showed over a period of time when challenged with varying situations.
Knowing when to step away is the hardest
MR.Magic did it his way see how this plays out, My head is in my hands $$
Great show !!!
Sometimes
3:25 “Shaggy P” 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
“Rob Pelinker” 😂
Steven A: Why did you resign from the lakers? Thank you for going straight to the point
Rob was scared of Magic so built a wall of support to influence Jeanie’s emotions so he can force Magic out lol
Magic wasn't there day to day. Rob actually could do his job, and do it Very Well. So the Lakers didn't need Magic running the show from a distance.
Lakers don’t get LeBron without Magic. Rob is a snake in the grass and always has been. Magic is a class act taking the high road shows the kinda person he is. Rob used his Privilege to push magic out.
@@Mariano21882 not true at all, Lebron wanted to come to LA for years

I thought this first take segment would be boring, but I was wrong. Its actually very interesting, plus hilarious 💯.
Much love to Magic!
So basically Dudley ended Bron's playoffs appearance streak then joined him the year after to get him a ring, Dudz the GOAT
🤯🤯🤯
Great points Max!
It's something else to this
U know. I think his health could be in question... could be wrong but.....
Rob Pelinka was jealous of Magic a black man having that position and all that power.Period!
Great insight
That’s a man who makes his own decisions. And refuses to be controlled. Ownership of Nowhereship. BLACK POWER✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
@DaffyDuckFan *EXACTLY* i applaud Magic for choosing his own career course WHETHER people like it or *not* 👍
I miss the days of Magic, Bird, MJ, the bad boy pistons, I miss the real men of basketball.
Exactly it's not the same anymore
He's so chill why are they yelling at him so much
Research the “Boule” Lebron has their insignia tattooed on his chest... freemason!!!!!!
To what Magic brought to that Team, they should show more respect. As a player, Coach, and President, he's given more to that team than Pelinka or whoever.
Magic Johnson GOAT 🏀🏀🏀🏀
Who else here after the Buss Interview
Magic really hit us wit dat
It’s just funny that…..
🤣🤣
I love Magic Johnson
Love Magic. I think he easily makes the NBA's top 10 ever. He's a better player than he was a front office worker in the NBA.
Feels weird seeing people hugging
The Zubac take will always be hilarious 💀
I thought this was a new interview
Very good interview I like to see magic Johnson invited back after they won the championship but great interview overall
Woot for Earvin choosin what makes him happy
Now that's keeping it 100. He didn't mince words.
This is cold
I liked the assured repeating of himself about not being a regretful guy to Max, shutting him down, at least for the moment.
I GOT REAL LOVE FOR MAJ. JOHNSON PERIOD.
Earvin Magic Johnson is partially the reason why I had became a La Lakers fan.
Time to switch gears ⚙
This show straight stirring beef 🥩
So refreshing to see someone speak with no bullshit filter
Magic had Molly excited when he sat down
if there was ever a true ambassador for basketball and the lakers he's it...great spirit, intelligent, humble....jeanie threw him under the buss so to speak...great loss for the lakers...you cant help but like and respect him....no wonder him and bird are friends...birds of a feather...he reminds me of bill russell another class act of the nba....great stuff...
Magic is Mr. Laker
It’s no question that he’d do anything to make the Laker a winning team, with what he has, and what resources are available.
I’ll ALWAYS believe in Magic.
Magic also has too much class to stir up drama and make a big scene, but I understand he has to clear the air instead of letting rumors float around that’s hurting his reputation, and even does that with class and transparency.
In a strange twist of fate Magics timing couldn't have been better. The NBA is toxic right now. This may have affected Magic's other businesses.
No it wouldn’t
magic nailed it
10:18 fast forward a year and magic admits to shannon saying he regrets not telling lebron he was leaving
Still 1 of the 2 greatest Lakers ever, behind only Kareem. Then Jerry West, Shaquille, Kobe, Wilt etc..
I love Magic!!! Always theeeeee Laker!
PREACH
Just Rob! 🤣🤣
Gentlemen always stand when greetin someone
I caught that too.
It’s because of Magic’ physical size and status,Stephen A, feels overshadowed.
I love Magic. Ma idol 😎😎😉😉
This recent ? What happen to restrictions???
This was so juicy! Magic been called the lakers on the BS
Why was this vid "disliked?" Why. Rob even admitted that he did not go about this situation the right way.
Make em better, Magic.
Best point guard of all time,he cause major mismatch at 6'9" ball handler the floor general.
No just Rob
Those intimate pre-COVID sets...
Sounds legit to me. Magic doesn't seem like that kind of "poor me" kind of dude.
Magic's opening statement led to his resignation. He was unable or unwilling to commit TOTALLY to the VPBO/GM position like Jerry West and Danny Ainge.
Magic is a real one and my spirit tells me he is being truthful it wa not a good work environment. Magic knows basket ball one of the best playmakers and best point guards in the league he knows what he's talking about.
Magic is the TRUTH
Magic an all-time great player. That's obvious. Sometimes though great players don't make great GM's. It's a far more complex job then he realized. Roster building was difficult enough in the old days. Now the contracts are more complicated, there salary cap ramifications, sign and trades, luxury tax thresholds, more advanced scouting, one and done college players, far more knowledgeable agents, plus player's attitudes and dedication are different in the modern. He discovered all these things and said.... "let me go to the LAX, pick-up Lebron, get him signed and then tell Jeannie this is too much for me". He's an ambassador of the game, not a GM, at least by today's standards....
For good reason did you listen?
Bruh stephens a’s tie has me dead
Suicidal tie 😂😂
Man, I think he's been hanging around with Shawn Porter.
😂😂😂 right
Kinda super fat
So messed up... what's up with ppl man?
Other dudes would've been fence sitting and didn't talk about being betrayed by the other guy and here comes magic saying Rob backstabbed him
Out yah👏
“You’re lookin beautiful”
That day magic was banned from espn
💯🙏🏽
They really tried making it about Kobe vs Magic smhb
Yeah, but Magic didn't fall for the bait!!!
Rob snaked him
You did that all your life push people up, Magic.
How will this affect the LA Sparks?
He resigned because you have a player being the President, GM, and Coach...
Tragic
without Magic, Lakers never dream of getting LeBron
He still has the LA Dodgers!! Go Braves though 🥊
*AND* magic has the LA sparks (wnba)
*AND* magic has the LAFC ⚽
