      Quite simple. Continue as the Exile(as was Obsidian's plan). Search for Revan with your party members, fight the True Sith(who were actually the first Sith Ever, not Palpatine 2.0, according to Chris Avellone) and make a war where you have to join the Galaxy to fight it(which was how KOTOR 3 was supposed to be, but Bioware decided to use that for ME). And have different endings depending on your choices(also, control Revan during some part of the game, preferably the finale)

      Juan Laise I like Chris ideas more then biowares version

    • @75JUNAKI
      @75JUNAKI Před 4 lety +7

      Juan Laise
      Chris Avellone: "So Kotor III was gonna be a little bit different. So basically, I think I've said this before, but the player would be following Revan's path into the Unknown Regions, and he goes very, very deep into the Unknown Regions and finds the outskirts of the real Sith Empire." "And that's a pretty terrifying place. The intention was that it would be structured on a basic level like KotOR 1 and KotOR 2, but what would happen is you'd have a collection of hubs, but every hub you went to had an additional circuit of hubs, that you could choose which ones you optionally wanted to do to complete that hub, or you could do them all. "But ultimately there was just a lot more game area in KotOR 3, just because the Sith Empire was just so fucking big. But yeah, so, on some level it was a similar structure, but it was intended to... so one of our designers, Matt MacLean, had this idea for Alpha Protocol mission structure, where what would happen is, you'd sort of go to a hub, but it wasn't really a hub.
      "It was like a big mission you had to do as an espionage agent, but then there were like six surrounding missions, that central mission, and you didn't have to do any of them, but by doing some of those, you would cause a reaction in the main target mission that could even make your job worse or easier. "Or you could choose to try and do all of them, and he let each of them like cater to like, a speech skill, or stealth mission, or shoot 'em up mission, and that would cause different reactivity. And I always liked that, because I felt like you were being given a larger objective, but you were getting a lot more freedom in how to accomplish it and how to set the stage, so it was easier for your character. And that's kind of the mission structure I would have liked to have bring to KotOR 3, because I thought it was much more intelligent design." "Part of the fun with designing [Kotor III's] Sith Lords was if you have these incredibly powerful Force users and they have their whole hidden domain out in the distant reaches of the galaxy, what would that Sith empire really look like at the hands of these things?
      "If they could shape entire planets or galaxies or nebulas, and they had all these slave races at their disposal, how cool would that be, to go into the heart of darkness and you're the lone Jedi and/or new version of the Sith confronting these guys? What would that be like? I thought that would be pretty epic."
      The third game would have then put you in the role of "the Exile," and had you track what Revan was up to. Eventually, it would lead to the reveal of ancient Sith Lords out on the edges of the galaxy, biding their time. Avellone also said KOTOR 3 would have had you back in the Ebon Hawk, and surrounded by some familiar characters like T3-M4 and HK-47. The studio even had plans to dismantle HK-47 and have him ride on your back, a la Chewie and C-3PO in The Empire Strikes Back, leading to a sequence in which the droid would fire at enemies behind you. Exile would be the PC and Revan would be an NPC. HK-47 and T3-M4 would be your starting companions. Game would be set in Unknown Regions in the territory of the True Sith. True Sith were meant to appear incomprehensibly vicious and menacing. Plot would revolve around finding Revan and a way to defeat True Sith. True Sith were not merely a sect of Sith but were actually the original Sith Lords. What a shame. Wish I had the money and connections to make it happen. Obsidian's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 would have featured the culmination of Revan's journey, which included standing face-to-face with ancient Sith Lords of unimaginable power. Knights of the Old Republic is one of the most popular Star Wars video game franchises of all-time, a statement that only becomes confusing once fans realize it has gone ignored for over a decade at this point with little indication there will ever be a return to the series. According to ex-Obsidian writer Chris Avellone, the studio was prepared with a fleshed-out Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 pitch that never ended up going anywhere. Luckily for fans, Avellone remembers most of what the pitch entailed, and shared it in an interview with VG24/7. According to Avellone, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 contained foreshadowing for what Darth Revan was doing adjacent to that game's story, and would set up the larger plan of a confrontation against never-before-seen enemies: The ancient Sith would have backstories that players could explore and uncover, giving fans greater insight into what these entities meant to the greater Star Wars universe Obsidian's Chris Avellone says that "it felt like we were pitching and pitching and it just wasn't going anywhere, and at some point people just drew a line and said 'it's just not going to happen.'" I had never considered the KOTOR games to be part of a potential trilogy but Avellone confirmed that the plan was to have "The Exile" from KOTOR II potentially meeting Revan from KOTOR I and finding "the true Sith Lords."
      But enough of all that, what of HK-47, one of the best supporting characters in an RPG ever? "At one point HK-47, its legs dismantled, would "ride around in your backpack," Chris explains "like C-3PO does with Chewbacca in Empire Strikes Back." “The third game involved you, as a player character, following where Revan went and then taking the battle to the really ancient Sith lords who are far more terrifying than the Darths that show up. These guys would just be monsters. These would have a level of power that was considerable, but at the same time you’d be able to dig more into their psychologies, and their personalities, their history, and even how they dealt with the player, how they talk with the player, the different powers they cultivated and developed, and for some of them like - they’re the ancients, so they’re not just ruling a solar system, [but] swathes of the galaxy.
      “So the places you travel to [you’d see] how they left their stamp on that world, or that solar system, or whatever collection of moons. You’d see how horrible that was. Part of that environment would tell a story about that. [That] would be a great, epic way to end the trilogy.

    Like many, I'm an early fan of the Kotor on xbox-PC, especially the 1. The story of Revan, his relationship with Bastila, his endearing friends, the story very well put together, etc. But then the MMO The Old Republic is a betrayal against. Instead of giving Revan a nice ending, we pull the rope, and EA finds a bogus excuse to find it 300 years later. And go it back, die, but not totally, then again because it was "split in two".
    Frankly, the best thing for Revan would have been to kill the Emperor with the exile, and then return to the galaxy. Revan would have ended his life with Bastila and their child (ren), the exile would have been reintegrated into the Jedi order, and all the old ones (Jolee Bindo, Vao Mission, Carth, etc.), all those surviving friends, would have ended in the joy of being together to celebrate the victory of the Light, the Life!
    Unfortunately, just as Disney has messed up the end of episode VI by sabotaging the Han / Leia wedding, sabotaging the future of Jedi Luke, and the story itself (yes Anakin must restore balance in the Force and now we find ourselves with new sith and a "pseudo-empire" in episode VII, basically Anakin was useless), so EA sabotaged the end of the Kotor and messed up the happy ending Revan would have had with Bastila, the end of the exile etc ... to lay us, in addition to a pitiful story of a Revan quoted above, the story of an emperor who never dies ... and so Here again, like Anakin, Revan was useless, since the other ball on the dark side changes body as shirt. All this for a question of money, as always. Disney wants money and we sabotage the Star Wars saga of George Lucas.
    EA wants money with his MMO and ransacked the saga of Revan. In the end, it's sad to say, but it would have been better to stop everything after Kotor 1, simply. Or at the worst finish the trilogy Kotor with a third game so, on PC and console, like the first two, where we would order Revan and the exile in the wilds, killing the emperor, and returning to the end in the galaxy towards theirs. There we would have an end worthy of a Lucas, worthy of Star Wars.

    • @22Moomba
      @22Moomba Před 6 lety +15

      I agree on the money grabbing part on EA. But please, a happy end for Revan? Thats just not who he was. The whole reason for him falling to the dark side is him wanting to be active and not observe like the rest of the old jedi council. He would have died in a fight somewhere either way, not at home with Bastila. Him finally finding true peace in death, embracing all his pain and darkness was actually a nice touch. The best thing that could have happend to him though would have been for him to die off screen against Valkorion and us only hearing about it to hype up the strenght of the emperor.
      Furthermore I have to disagree with your perception of the Star Wars unviverse as a whole. As much as it is about hope it is about an eternal struggle. Peace, much like in the real world, is only temporary. Because the force does only seem to balance itself out after something bad happens. Obi Wan states that "balance" means "the destruction of all Sith" i.e. the evil part of the force. Yet after the balance the kinds of Desann, Tavion and Kylo Ren emerge. Only after that happens the force keeps balancing itself by empowering a lightside equivalent. There does not seem to be a state in which the force is eternaly in balance.
      For you to not see that is a little weird because that is what Kotor 2 was all about. Kreia, after seeing both the light and the dark, realized that all living beeings are bound by the force without real free will. Her plan, as flawed as it might have been, was to sever all life from the force itself and make them truly free. A state in which the "happy ending" you want, might have been possible.

    • @KaosNova2
      @KaosNova2 Před 6 lety +1

      I disagree. Palpatine WAS THE IMBALANCE in the force, because he refused death rather than accept it, and he clouded the light side with vast dark side powers. Palpatine was destroyed by his own arrogance when Vader/Anakin turned on him, and even that was a close call. There is no equal good and evil. That's lame storytelling. Anakin Skywalker killing Palpatine fulfilled the saying of balance, because Palpatine was the source of the corruption all along.
      Revan did not fully accept or fully redeem in KOTOR, he didn't make the full penance for his ways. He was going to die somehow, he was going to be the tragedy like Anakin Skywalker was in the original six films. The Darkside is a lack of discipline and imbalance by its own nature. The lightside is balance and discipline.

      EA just wants money. Subscribers to an mmo give more money than someone who buys a game once. Sadly it was at the cost of kotor. The graphics are to cartoony, hk-47 lost his humor. The story line is worse because of the acting wasn't epic and the style of mmos restrict the story from being at the high level of mkotor. I don't hate swotor I just think it would be better if it wasn't a sequal to kotor 2, or at least didn't have reaven and the exile in it.

Unlike 2k, BioWare doesn't distinguish which teams make their games unless asked for specification or mentioned elsewhere. This was done by BioWare Austin and Edmonton. The original and Mass Effect Series have been worked on by Montreal or as most put it, the Candian ones, eh.

He then stabbed Meetra in tha back causing her to die and Revan to get imprisoned for 300 or so years

      +Shadowkey392 Because I do not like what Austin did to the ToR storyline. I was hoping a different BioWare studio would be working on Andromeda.

    Nomi Da-Boda lolololol. kind of funny even several years later LucasArts still couldn't use the Sunrider name. also kind of cool to see a scene with Bastila and the character who was originally supposed to be Bastila, Nomi.

      Yeah but that's not canon, that's like an alternate thing. In the true story, Revan was light side in Kotor.

      Sean Gonzalez
      Because he's conflicted. He basically got used by both the Republic and the Empire, and for him to defeat the Emperor, he channeled his dark side energy.

    • @kotormaster1975

      Sean Gonzalez bassicly revan did what he thought was right but also he was conflicted cause the Jedi restrict a lot of things and don't act without assessing the real threat fair enough if I was in revan's spot I would go do what he did but also the sith would've don't the same as the mandalorians but when he was defeated in the foundry the light side of him the wisest part accepted it he knew his time had come but the darker side of him didn't want to accept that his time had come and the only way was to basically become dark but his rep and all that was during kotor 1 and 2 not in this time so he went for the people he knew would follow him see the light side of him knew the emperor couldn't be killed but the rage in his dark half never listened to that so he thought the light side was weak and the darker half wanted to kill the emperor and have the glory after so in a way yes he was a sith lord but he was also the prodical knight as well

    Wait what? Isn't Bastila dead by the time Swtor happens? Don't tell me holocrons are no longer recordings but entities that would be sillys.

    • @Lanadra
      @Lanadra Před 8 lety +10

      +Alundaio They are an ''interactive'' recording, able to respond and develop with knowledge they gain, but are no conscious entities, the real Bastila is dead, just as the real master Vandar is.
      A very clear difference is made between force spirits, such as the Exile's spirit, and Revan's also in Shadow of Revan, and the noetikons, such as the representation of Bastila here.

      Underground Revan was being kept safe in stasis by the Emperor in Maelstrom remember? You awake him in the FP Maelstrom Prison. Bastila died of old age I suppose, unless she died somehow and we don´t know.

    • @c.f.b6585
      @c.f.b6585 Před 8 lety +4

      Underground OK this a damn long story. Remember Revan left Bastila at the end of Kotor 1? He left because he needed to find the true sith, which were not Malak and his followers. Then, in the end of Kotor 2, the Exile (player) left to find Revan and eventually found him. However, they chose to ally themselves with Lord Scourge, a true sith lord who was part of the actual sith empire, unknow to the Republic. After some stuff (this part is from a novel) they confronted Vitiate, the Sith Emperor. Vitiate destroyed T3 completely and Scourge betrayed Revan and the Exile. The Exile got killed and Revan imprisoned in Maelstrom prison. The emperor granted Scourge inmortality.
      I guess Bastila died of old age at some point. Then TOR starts. At some point, a team of Republic warriors and soldiers broke into Maelstrom and freed Revan, who started to fight for them. However, he tried to take control of the Foundry, a massive force-factory (like a smaller Star Forge) to aid the Republic. A team of sith and operatives supposedly killed Revan in the Foundry, but in reality he had escaped with something like a force-personality disorder due to his exposure to both the dark and light so much. His light side stayed "dead" as a force ghost (obi wan, yoda, anakin) and his mad dark side, still alive disappeared. Later on on the war, Revan re emerged, but not with the Republic or Empire. He established an underworld empire which sought to destroy both Republic and Empire and almost suceded After his forces were defeated at Rishi, he moved to Yavin 4 where he tried to take Revenge on the dormant and weak Sith Emperor´s spirit (Vitiate had been defeated by the jedi to almost death some time before). He was stopped by an alliance of Republic and Empire, but the death of so many caused the emperor to resurrect anyway. Oh and the team that personally defeated him was made up of Lana Benik (a sith lady) Dark council memeber Darth Marr, Satele shan (the grand master of the jedi and Revan´s descendant), Theron Shan (satele´s son) Shae Vzla (mandalorian), and Bowdaar (wookie). He made peace with his light side spirit and finally died, his last worrds warning the warriors that the darkest times lie ahead. But that´s another story. And Revan finally died.
      Long fucking story lol. I like writing.
