Kobe was in a system that was designed more for ball movement and teamwork. So there were some games where Kobe would sacrificed his stats so that the team could succeed. And Kobe’s first couple years he didn’t get any playing time because the coach believed in playing the veterans more, while Lebron was immediately given the keys to the Cavs franchise. How many titles has lebron won without a superstar on his team? Zero, just like jordan. Only difference is outcome, and we all know who's is better. and the coach point is just so ridiculous. Did Jordan's coach win 5 MVPs, DPOY, 10 scoring titles, 9 All Nba defensive first teams, 6 Finals, 6 Finals MVPs, and three peat twice? No, i think that was Jordan. even though the 3 point line was literally a foot shorter for a few seasons, it will still a 3 pointer at the time, idk why he's trying so hard to discredit him. The reason MJ is the goat is this, and it has nothing to do with finals RECORD, just performance.
    At their very best in the finals, Michael Jordan is better, and at their very worst, Lebron is worse. Here is why. In MJ's worst finals, he averaged 27-5-4 with 2 steals a game. The bulls won in 6, MJ was MVP. In Lebron's worst Finals, he averaged 18-7-6, and lost a finals he was favored to win. Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Ray, Chalmers, Haslem vs Dirk and Jason Terry. 4 Future hall of famers vs 1, and Jason Terry, who has never been an all star, averaged more PPG than Lebron in the series. The heat were heavily favored to win this series, and they lost, and a major reason for that was Lebron. At their very worst when it matters the most, MJ was better.

      Sage Boy Lebron was outscored by a bench player named jason terry in the finals. People talk about how it was only one finals, and how it should be swept under the rug, because Jordan never had a finals where he performed that poorly. Lebron fans want people to forget (not you, but others). Dirk and Jason Terry vs Lebron, Ray, Bosh, Wade, Haslem, and Chalmers. Up 2-1, and you lost in a finals you were heavily favored to win. Scored 8 points in a game. EIGHT. Jordan never scored less than 23 in a finals game. Lebron averaged less points that series than JASON TERRY, Someone who i his entire career, was not an all star
      Everyone’s GOAT is biased because at the end it’s just our opinions. Lebron had the benefit the past 5-6 of playing in the worst eastern conference i’ve ever seen in my lifetime, but you don’t mention that. Lebron doesn’t get a lot of credit for carrying the cavs to the finals because he didn’t play any competition to get there, no teams with multiple all stars, a lot of 7-8 seeds, and the East in the last 10 years is no where NEAR as good as the West, even now. In a way, that’s showing how great Lebron is, because he was always playing 7-8 seeds in the first round. But he losses when he did get to the finals, typically. BUT, The 2016 championship was incredible, one of the best rings ever, and i’m not denying greatness, lebron is no question in the top 3, but when you’re talking about the BEST EVER, you have to hold these players to a VERY high standard. Ofc i respect your opinion, i have jordan as the GOAT like most people, you have Lebron, not as many people have him as the goat, but some have him as their GOAT too. Im just typing these essays bc i have nothing better to do

    • @ShortsCreatorGuy
      @ShortsCreatorGuy Před 4 lety +3

      Sage Boy Jordan also never lost in the finals, 6-0, Jordan also has 9 more scoring titles. 5 more all nba defensive first teams. The highest PER ever. The highest scoring average in the regular season, postseason, AND finals ever. 5 MVPs, 6 Finals MVPs, a DPOY as a GUARD.
      Jordan also never ditched his team to form a superteam for a better chance of winning. Jordan stuck it out during the tough years, when Lebron packs up and leaves. when jordan got hurt, before he got help, before he got scottie, before he got rodman, he stayed through it all, and with a really good team, he was absolutely unstoppable.
      You can’t say the same for Lebron, He was playing with the best team in the NBA (the Heat, 4 Hall of famers, including lebron) and went 2-2 in the finals, on a very good team. It would be 1-3 if ray and bosh didn’t save lebrons ass when he shot that brick on game 6. Bosh got the rebound OFF OF LEBRONS MISS and kicked it to Ray who hit the biggest shot in NBA history. When jordan was on a very good team he was 6-0. Three peats with a pause in the middle to play baseball. Only 2 duos have EVER three peated, shaq and kobe and MJ and scottie, and MJ and scottie did it twice. This is straight facts homie, no subjectivity. Facts only Tell me why you think Lebron is the GOAT, i’m open to it.

      Jon Snow with modern day spacing and a bigger emphasis on 3 point shooting mike is at least a 37% three point shooter. You can’t just copy and paste Jordan and put him in today’s league. Guys today grew up idolizing Steph curry and ray Allen. They knew three pointers were the most important, so they practiced it a lot. In the 90s the three pointer was like the 5th most important thing. Now it’s the most important. It’s safe to say MJ would’ve practiced his 3 more. And he shot well from the three throw line, a good indicator that he was a good shooter, he just didn’t take them.

    • @jonsnow1278
      @jonsnow1278 Před 4 lety +2

      BasketballAddict you can’t just say ‘if this, if that’, by your logic if Steph played in the 90s he’d average 45 a game cause the 3 point line was closer. Players like Reggie Miller, Ray Allen and Glen rice etc. were really good three point shooters in the 90s, so this idea that no one cared about 3s is untrue.

    • @basketballaddict2885
      @basketballaddict2885 Před 4 lety +6

      Jon Snow Reggie Miller and glen rice were the best three point shooters in the 90s and they only took 4 a game for their career. The 90s weren’t like the 80s and 70s but the three pointer was still looked down upon as an inefficient shot. If Reggie Miller and glen rice played today they would be surrounded with modern spacing and take 10 threes a game. In the 90s mid range shots and post ups were the best way to score. That’s people weren’t worried about spacing and shooting.

      Your right on point. Mj peak was the highest of any player ever. His main playing years were 13 years in which he won 6 championships. That's after coming out of retirement from not playing basketball for a year and a half. Even his last 2 years with the wizards was impressive considering he was coming back from a 3yr layoff and was 38- 40 yrs old and still put up 23ppg and 20ppg. 6 rebounds a game and 1.5 steals. Imagine what a prime Jordan would do to this weak league. Imagine if Lebron took 3 yrs off and came back at 38, I don't think he would make the league. I don't think Lebron would win not even 1 chip if he had just Pippen and a bunch of role players. He even lost with super teams, I don't see him leading a team against the tough comp Jordan went thru

      I am not gonna stand here and say MJ was a sniper at 3pt range by any means. Something no one talks about though is let's be honest, how many of Jordan's 3's in his career were what we would call good looks. Do we wanna sit her and pretend that even 50% of his 3pt attempts were designed plays to kick out to Jordan for an open 3 lol. I would be that the year he attempted 66 of them 40 were 5 secs left on play clock throw it to MJ because the offense failed.
      They didn't run offense w spacing then to kick to guys for open 3's much at all in the 80's. Some into the 90's but that was for a Paxson or Kerr. Fully acknowledge that Curry will shoot one from the parking lot, but he is a different animal. Half of the game now is penetrate and kick for open looks.

    on the first point, he mentioned Jordan's skin tone to illustrate how much time he spent in the sun. Jordan spent 8 hours playing in around 105-115 degree temp on his day off. If you've never been in Phoenix.. It's hot here. spending that much time out in the sun is life draining lol. I work in the sun daily here and you don't get use to it when it's over 105. He's from Chicago by way of NC. Not like he had time to acclimate at all to it.
    Lebron's highest average 3pt% to date was the 2013 season. but the stat was averaged up to 41%. it was technically 40.6%
    btw, if you're going to use the 3pt line difference as a rationale, then you have to add into the leagues toughness back then and rule set changes. Jordan would destroy this league on it's current rules. Same can't be said for any player of this era going back in time. Some are more athletic, but could they handle the physical beatings. Bird's career would have lasted many more years in todays rule set and been far more dominant than anyone except maybe MJ.

      Who tf knows how many ppl beat jordan on exact dates. A majority of lebron fans dont know these facts, and if they did, there wouldnt be a GOAT discussion.

      you got it backwards.... this is how i expect most lebron fans to react cause they only know one side when it comes to the MJ vs LJ debate. Most of the fans that say LJ the goat never even seen MJ play and dont understand his career

      Brian Perry people always love to talk about how the heat were worse when lebron left despite the fact that Dwade played 62 games and Bosh played 40

    It's ok to feel upset, man. You'll also find that the little props you attempted to give LeBron about his 3-point percentage isn't quite true, either.
    The Bulls back then were THE team to beat. No team Lebron's ever been part of could have beaten them... ever. The level of physicality to the game would've seen LeBron throwing himself to the floor more times than he actually shot the ball. He does that all the time today.
