Two Herds. Commercial Angus and Registered Simmental/Angus

- In this video, we took the opportunity to cull some old cows, some cows that had lost calves this year and in the past. Basically studying the data and getting rid of the under-performers. From there we sorted the cattle based upon whether or not they're registered Simmental/Angus or Commercial Angus. What we ended up with is two distinct herds. Our T1 property is registered Simmental/Angus and the T2 property is all commercial Angus cattle. This will play into our future marketing plans to be discussed in future videos!

@@HeritageFarmsTexas I've been selling through our local barn - MLX (McDaniel Livestock Exchange). OKC really prefers blacks and reds. Mine are Charolais cross so I sell them local and they do pretty good.
Sounds like a plan. I always prefer to support local if I can. We have also done well at Gainesville and also Durant.
