The fit and finish in a gts and gt4 is on par with the 911. If you compare a base carrera you see the same fit and finish. I had the option of 911 vs cayman. I decided in the cayman because it’s more sport car than the 911 which is more GT.

Interesting comparison - with no surprise. I think the test revealed that both cars have their strong points. Yes, the Cayman cannot reach the prestige level nor the driving characteristics of the 911. Contrary, some people will happily give this up for having a supreme mid-engine driving experience that actually saves you quite a bit of money. The real question is, are you a value buyer or a prestige buyer? To each, Porsche delivers the right car.

911s are not better built than current Caymans/Boxsters (981.1 / 982.2 or 718 if you like) - forget that. You are comparing different gens on your video which is wrong as for obvious reasons assembly / spec (you need to spec match both cars...) / fit&finish keeps going up. What defines both cars is simply one thing: engine placement and the very reason why Caymans/Boxsters are superior for handling dynamics which is what matters here (you can't compare cars with different engines...but you can compare a Cayman 981 3.4 with a 991 3.4 and the Cayman is a superior car - easy to see for the ones with the knowledge, experience and insight): better placement of masses and a longer wheel base that a 991 can only dream of. All sports cars in Le Mans GTE Pro and GTE Am (with one exception: Aston Martin) have mid engined cars and that is even the case with the current racing 911 (which currently is basically a Cayman with a 911 shell...): further vindication is not needed. Yes 911s are superior to Caymans / Boxsters in one thing: to carry babies at the back...(you pay the price by having much less concealed - note - luggage space and therefore touring for two the Boxster/Cayman are here also superior... ) and eventually if you like to drift as 911s are naturally unbalanced vehicles and thus easier to unsettle which makes drifting it easier

It’s called a baby Porsche because it is not as fast and powerful as the carrera normally.
has nothing to do with the size of the car …..

Before I have Cayman, it was very hard for me to identify it with a 911 from far. Unless the 911 is from 80s.

No shit Sherlock, the front assembly of the two cars is exactly the SAME. Everything underneath the skin from the rear edge of the doors forward is the same structure. On a 911, you have a rear engine and a mid transmission. On a Cayman you have a mid engine and a rear transmission; That means that the engine and transmission have simply been moved 180 degrees.
This makes an ENORMOUS difference in the handling! The Cayman is the sports car of the pair, designed for track use. It puts to shame the underdeveloped C8 Corvette and the silly Toyota Supra, with it's 500 pound BMW engine sitting on top of the front axle. The 911 is given more horsepower because it is heavier but also, it is Porsche's....
    "Cash Cow"
And there are a lot of old geezers who want to buy these Cash Cows, but are too old to ever push them to their limits. The current 911 has turned into what the 928 was back in the day, a fast car for travel. But it has also sadly morphed into a "luxury car" or "status symbol". Porsche the company has this blood on their hands; They produced the comical "911 50 year version", which involved 1963 special edition 991's with a set of bullshit features and an inflated price tag that together give a big middle finger to what Porsche is all about.
-I saw one of these road-going offences to taste at a Cars&Coffee in Fort Lauderdale in January and I was more interested in seeing what sort of putz would own such a thing. And of course it was an old Geezer and his bleached blonde equally old wife. What was surprising is that the wife was about the same age; Normally people who buy shit like this car have trophy wives decades younger....
Bad taste is not just confined to '70's American cars....

So, basically even though he admits the 718 does almost everything better (sound, shifting, cockpit interior feel), he ends the video saying he's keeping the 911 solely because it made him feel envious each time he saw one on the road? How much lack of self confidence do you need to say something like that?
