I did not know that it had the video game selections, I never read manuals. That’s awesome. And the overheating shutdown is great. I’ll have to try the matty wand to see if it does too. I heard the matty version had a “crossing the steam” effect if you had two aimed at each other. My second matty is NIB so I never tried. I also have 2 Spengler wands, but keeping one NIB also. Wonder if they do it also? The intensity bar acts differently on matty version from crossing the streams (or it may be overheating, don’t know yet) I have to put batteries in it again and try. I just wanted to see them side by side when I got em. As I did with the trap and pke. I have yet to get the spirit goggles, but do have the matty ones. Egon wand is by far the best new prop out among the 3 this year, but the price point sorta demands it. Here’s to hoping they do a trap, pke and goggles in the plasma line! (And perhaps a pack)
I only had one Marty wand and never did the cross the streams effect either. I really do hope they take a stab at a full pack, maybe a Haslab? Thanks again for letting me use your pics! I sold mine once I knew Hasbro was going to do props. Really happy with how hasbro has done this, and agree with you I hope it’s the first of many!

They'll _definitely_ be doing a Proton pack and a regular wand. And hopefully like you said the other items. I have the Spirit Halloween ones from Walmart, but it'd certainly upgrade...especially the trap. Did your Hasbro wand come retaped...as in all the tape was cut, then tape applied on top? Mine came direct from Hasbro, but it's definitely not MISB.
Chalor tape as in on the handle of the wand or tape on the box? My box was sealed with original tape
Geek. Dad. Life. No problem! I’m thrilled to be a part of all things Ghostbusters! I have a decent sized collection starting with stuff when matty released the line back in the day (hard to believe it’s been, what 10 years?) but unfortunately my original toys from the 80’s are in a condemned attic, and don’t know if I’ll ever see them again. If you ever need anything else, I’m more than happy to help a fellow Ghostbuster!

Like everyone else, i hope they go ahead and make the pack to go with the wand. Even if all the pack does is light up since the wand has sound. But if anything, please bring back ecto coolers 😋

Just ordered this for the Haslabs back but this does look awesome on its own too. I do hope we get a trap and PKE meter tho I’m wondering if the later will be the Spangler Teir.

Great review. When you said about the front handle and being carful, are you saying that because it seem to wobble a bit down that end?
I notice when holding it seems to wobble slightly to the left and right?
I was out at Walmart a couple of days ago , ive noticed they redesigned the box for the Imagine Ghost Trap and PKE Meter to look like the Hasbro boxes
Yes they have, I edited out a section of this video talking about that. Interesting that it isn’t proprietary to Hasbro but a broader Sony/Ghost Corp branding

This is the first review I’ve seen where someone said this Hasbro wand feels “lighter and cheaper” than the Mattel one, literally every other review I watched says the opposite... huh to each their own
The plastic is def thinner, the battery and motor placement makes a difference in weight as well. I don' think its a bad thing, just differences between the two.
The Matty is half the weight of this

So does this wand do the sound of when you stop the activation of the stream? That whistle power down sound like the matty?
It does not do that sound, it only does it when it powers off, which may be more accurate… depending on your perspective

So I just got mine today, and first thing I noticed was the nice box it came in was smushed on top. Then saw that it was opened up and retaped. I mean, I didn't pay full price to get a used one lol. Since I bought it direct from Hasbro, I don't know if I'll be able to do anything about that. I've tried contacting them before, and that doesn't work out. But maybe everyone's wand has been opened and taped back. Like each one was inspected upon arrival from China 🤔.
Mine was not opened and retaped, FedEx might have done that, I know when I have sent stuff through them they have said that it may be opened as a security check at some point...
I unfortunately passed on the Matty Collector one (along with everything else). At least I got a cheap ass Spirit Halloween Ghost trap and PKE meter from Walmart. Definitely better than nothing. Now let's just see how much money and how they're going to sell the Proton pack. Haslab or a regular pre-order to coincide with the actual movie release. I'm thinking at least $300. And maybe it'll come with a regular wand (or separate)...so at least $400.
If they go haslab, I think at minimum they're at 400 for just the pack, I think it would be at least 500 given how high the razorcrest is going for.
You didn't shoot the stream correctly when in stasis and meson collider mode. You press and hold for the action, just like the proton stream. It's a great piece but it could have been better. No power down sounds after firing the proton stream. The diameter of the extending tube is too small. The led of the bargraph was far better on the Mattel wand. And it shuts off and powers down too quickly.
This is the best review I have seen for the Hasbro wand. Esp your immediate comparioson with the Matty. It would have been better if you had had experience with the Matty though. These types of videos are what we are after. I can't wait for your review of the Hasbro pack. In the EU we've received them already but you guys should receive them soon. I made a few videos answering questions from everyone online. Feel free to use my videos for a piece, I forfeit copyright... if you want in the meantime.

Mine is fuck 😔 the light at the end dosent switch. And always stay on. I reach out to hasbro and waiting on a response.
The stand looks like kit bashed model parts put together. Unfortunate it's a rubbery plastic. A clear acrylic one would've been cooler...or just something more simplistic/low profile. I'm sure there's a few options on Etsy, or will be.
Yeah it was a def swing and a miss, look forward to seeing what third party makers create!
The matty collector one is dog water compared to this new one, plus we get the video game proton streams!!
“Lighter than the Matty” ??? Thankfully it’s at least twice the weight of the Matty. This reviewer has never seen a Matty in real life obviously. The plastic in this one is much thicker
