- This old boy came to Darkside Paint & Body for it's front end refurb! He had a few stone chips, dents, scratches and some nice bubbly rust areas.
He is a precious family member according to the owner and his name is Tommy the T4! 🤵🏼♂️🖌

Cracking job! Just what my T4 could do with after 16 years of hard graft I have put it through. I'll be in touch as soon as I am back up north.
I’m amazed no one took the front bumper off for better access to that wing repair. Would have taken a few minutes to remove. 🤦🏻♂️ and I’m not convinced that windscreen surround repair is going to last. They love to rot around there. Looks shiny at the end though.
Nothing takes a few minutes on these older cars anymore 😂 1 rusty bolt and it could ruin your day!
As for the surround repair we just did what we could for the customer. It will certainly last longer than leaving it as it was.
Think i might of had the bumpers re textured at the same time.
Good old t4's getting hard to find.
Freshen the bumper up with a heat gun or ceramic coating. 😁
Autoglym Bumper and trim gel. Magic stuff, smells lovely.
Linseed oil with black shoe polish. Works a treat.

Wow what an amazing job! The shine on the paint was pretty good to start with but the end result 🤩 looks cleeeeean all over the engine bay spotless as well! did you base and clear or was it solid colour like the original indian blau? And uncanny timing aswell I'm just starting work on mine for a full respray. Did you take the wings off? I found tons of dirt and leaves hiding just waiting to rot them through from behind. Nice job of double Masking the windscreen I'm going to have to use that one myself!

So did you repair the rust or just fill it full of bog ?
All the rust was removed and taken back to bare metal. Non of which was bad enough to warrant cutting / welding.

2:11 Oh come on that fender comes off the car by unscrewing 4 bolts... Now you have bondoed it to the car and it can never be taken out to fix the actual problem (which is the leaves composting inside the fender). It will look just as bad pretty soon again...
4 rotten bolts. Behind was cleaned. It wasn't bonded to anything.
@@DarksideDevelopments If you don't take it off, you haven't cleaned it 🤦 ask anyone with a spec of knowledge about these T4 vans.

@@davog1946 - I assure you sir, it'd look ten times better than it did.
Doesn’t suit the T4, and it’s a van… you wanna respray the bumpers every time it has a minor bump? It’s supposed to be rugged.
(The plastics also not the same type as used in bumpers designed to be sprayed, it’s be a lot of work to flat the texture out enough).
