  • Alex Boam of Boamerang Racing came to the Bodyshop with a tired and neglected looking race day van. The inside is lovely and cosy with a kitchenette, sofas and beds for when he goes to the track. The outside was a completely different story.
Alex had a certain budget in mind so we talked through what he could get and what he could acheive by using different materials to keep his budget under control and get the result he wanted.
The van had multiple areas of rust, dents, scratches, damage and discolouration which Alan and Adam were asked to take care of. The 50 shades of White were evened out but not all of the van was requested to be painted. Black Raptor UK paint was applied on the plastic side panels and the front of the van as well as the new arches and rear door step.
We repaired some dents and got rid of rust scabs to the quarter panels and the roof panel, we fully stripped the bonnet and took it down to the metal to bring it back to factory standard. All plastics were primered and all bare metal got etch primered. Some areas were high build primered before the paint was applied.
We fixed the rear step and changed the White raptor roof plan to be painted Black to tie in with the other areas which we think worked out really nice.
Alex was kept upto date with pictures and added things as we went on to make the final outcome a lot better.
The rest of the paintwork got treated to a polish and after the original paint had gone very dull we brought it back to life! The final look along with the new wheels and tyres really was day and night compared to the van when it first arrived!
    A happy customer!

Looks so much better with the raptor paint. Should take the knocks and bangs that race trucks get exposed to. 👍

Had this kind of paint on my B5 Passat. As my clear coat started peeling away and i was driving it daily. Parking out there somewhere where i could. We used Raptor paint. Came out great. BUT. Raptor is so hard to clean. Once its extra dirty its nightmare to clean it. BUT whole summer i was washing it weekly so it was not that bad.
And to spray whole wagon in raptor is like half od the normal paint so...
