- It's been 21 days exactly since I got my first column staggered keyboard : the Corne V3. I honestly enjoy typing on this so much.
This type of video might also be the new direction this channel is heading : maybe try some ASMR and if it is cringe, then I'll just stick to my guns.
Enjoy !

sooo jealous! the way the keys allow your hands to move is so precise and elegant
You can actually buy this for around 140 euros. Definitely not cheap, but yes I really like the keyboard, typing feels like art at times when I'm in a good mood.
@@tokimaheryramarozaka2116 if you can solder its like 50
@@ShrimpyTodger I actually thought about that. But with all the RGB underglow it's definitely not the easiest to begin soldering with.
But I plan on learning soon too on a board like the ferris or the chocofi.
@@tokimaheryramarozaka2116Can you buy this pre-built? I really like this but don’t know anything about building keyboards.
@@tokimaheryramarozaka2116 Hey, where could I buy it for this cheap in Europe(since you mentioned euros)?
do you have your layers set up like Ben Vallack does, where he has the shift layer key hold the layer until you press a key? or are you still getting used to the layout?
I just use the standard, lower and raise layer, I havent played with the system that Ben Vallack did. I got used to the layout, but I haven't changed it all that much ever since.
how were you able to program the LED's per side?
It has built-in RGB control, you can change the effect, the hue (meaning you could move the rainbow colorway left or right...I like violet-pink-blue the best on mine).
You can assign it to a button using QMK.
great video, is Mx switches comfortable for you while typing ?? because I can't decide between mx and choc switches
I honestly preffer mx switches. I tried choc, they weren't that bad, but they were just not for me. I'll try with lighter choc switches later on.
@@tokimaheryramarozaka2116 Agreed, this is the reason I got a corne to begin with. I started with the ZSA Voyager with choc browns, pretty shit (switches, not board). Swapped them out for choc reds, marginally better but still shit. After 6 months I determined that I don't like the lack of travel; the input and travel I get from MX switches is 100% necessary for my typing satisfaction. Really ended up enjoying the split aspect of the Voyager though thus I built a corne :P
Please, share keyboard layers you use. I have the same keyboard, but still can't choose good keymap layers for me.
Sure thing. I'll let you know here in a bit, still have a long day of work today. Probably going to make a video about it too to explain some choices.
@@tokimaheryramarozaka2116 thanks, I will be waiting. Have a good day! 👍
@@stepan_rybalka hey, just got done with the repo, and was in a rush to put up the keymap. But here it is : github.com/tokyramarozaka/crkbd-corne-v3-keymap
The video should come up in a few days, just been insanely busy running two jobs.
@@tokimaheryramarozaka2116 thanks, for sharing that. I will use your layouts. Did you think to try Colemak DH instead of Query?
what do these screens display? Are they useful?
They just display keystrokes and the logo of the corne. It just looks prettier in my opinion, though it can drain the battery faster if you're on a wireless version.
website name ?
it's in the description : speedtyper.dev
Nice ka 😁
very slow on {} [] () : =
So answer is no. It is not OK.
this symbols should not be on layers
on a normal keyboard you use shift for those symbols so that's basically the same thing as a layer 😂
I do disagree, but to each their opinion. Just keep in mind that this was 21 days using a split keyboard.
Some time has passed, and I am just as fast on these punctuations on a split keyboard, if not faster, that on my laptop.
