Andy Lee went onto win the WBO Middleweight World Title in great fashion in America against Korobov.
Macklin was stopped by Heiland which likely stopped his progression or any further cracks at a belt.
Murray followed with defeats to Martinez and GGG, since then he fought for Minor titles, mixed bag of wins and losses.
Darren Barker lost his belt to Sturm in Germany.
Very interesting chat. I'm bias as a Lee fan I think he was a level above the others imo. But typically Boxing Politics prevents many of these decent bouts being made unfortunately. This would have been a great World Boxing Series

Looking back Prior to Canelo & Jacobs, Murray gave GGG his hardest fight up to that point. Murray also went up to super middle and kept up with Groves. Tough bloke
And robbed twice fighting for world titles in the champions backyards. So close to legendary status yet so far.

This was a massively under rated time in boxing, amazing stories around that table ,4 of the most under rated British and Irish boxers and all top guys

@@katrinataylor8307 GGG is not currently a 'super middleweight' - as a pro he's always fought 1 division lighter down at middleweight. GGG did break George Groves' ribs in sparring but as of June 2020 he has not yet fought at super middleweight as a pro. Billy Joe Saunders has though so he could be included in the list that the OP mentioned.

Sad thing about this round the table is. None of these guys went on to fight each other. Who is to blame for that apart from corruption in boxing.

After this interview if I correct maklin did nothing, lee became champ, what about the other 2..
Barker lost his title against Sturm, mainly due to injury. I think his hip 'went' in the 2nd round.
Murray went on to have some big fights against Golovkin and Groves but, despite giving a good account of himself, he came up short. Very unlucky man as he probably should have got the decision in his first 2 world title fights against Sturm and Martinez.
