    Some things I forgot to mention in the video.
    Snapshot: To take a snapshot press the camera button.
    To record video: Press and hold menu then quickly press the camera button.
    You will see a camera logo on the screen, then press the camera button again and it will start flashing the red dot.
    Verify it is recording after a few seconds, I got an SD card error and missed recording at least once!

    A great setup. The recorded image is excellent. I had done, what I thought was, a lot of research prior to purchasing my Eakins variant -- but, I seemed to miss your video. Great stuff ... and subbed now, too.

      Sorry to hear that, perhaps you could sell your Eakins on eBay and upgrade?
      Many thanks for the sub!

      Hey thanks! Yeah it was definitely money well spent.
      With my new workshop I will likely be taking the high rise monitor mount off and I might be building an arm style mount in future.

    Really appreciate you showing the 8280x6212 image, demonstrating its 51MP. This clears up some confusion for me.

      You’re welcome! Yes it’s a bit of a bold claim, still happy with my purchase. I don’t know how I went so long without a decent microscope.

    That's really interesting! I must admit I've gone down a slightly different route. I have a Panasonic Lumix Camera and was able to find a Macro lense for it. It works well enough as an Improvised Microscope.

      Yeah, it's good to use what you have available. In my case I didn't have anything suitable. I was inspired by another youtuber who used a cheap gopro knockoff, but he wouldn't share any product information with me. I eventually found Northridge Fix explain his excellent setup and I combined both methods, going a little cheaper with manual focus, and DIY mounting pole, but with SD recording for my channel.

    how is the delay on the screen ? I have the HAYEAR 5030 and it is very noticeable :(

      Mine isn't set up at the moment because I'm making a new arm mount for it, but I don't recall it being a problem. If there is a delay at all, to each their own I guess because it's one of the best things I've ever bought.

    Ive bought same setup, unless for the lenses, i picked the 180x version, since my main focusing is cellphone repair, for the support/stand, i'm going to use an articular microphone holder that cost only 5usd. Thanks for the vídeo, theres almost nothing about theres hdmi microscopes .

      Final cost of my setup: 150 usd, since i live in Brazil... in my country currency: 750 reais, what is almost a month wage

    • @FixTechStuff
      @FixTechStuff  Před rokem +1

      @@WolfMoonSs Yeah it was very costly for me too, but worth it for the things I can do now, especially with failing eyesight.
      I can't believe the amount of people buying binocular microscopes over HDMI, it is so much nicer sitting back Northridge Fix style and looking at a monitor. The learning curve is the same.

    I have a question i am thinking of buying this for device repair but have bad eyes how far does it zoom in / out?
    Kind Regards Eric

      @FixTechStuff  Před rokem +1

      Yeah my eyes are bad now too, part of the reason I haven't updated my channel recently (new content coming soon tho).
      Zoom is basically 130X the field of view, so if you can work with the lens 5cm away from the board it will zoom that out 130 times which is awesome. Generally I have it a bit further back than that, the lens is definitely the one for electronics. If you want it larger, you can of course connect it to a larger monitor.
