Just subscribed after watching this video. You got a good theory. Give it 5 more years it will be stable market and prices will catch up. As more people come to the market and want the older cards but to pull them not buy them. I still get a joy of pulling chase cards from older boxes.

I've been slowly adding brilliant stars to my sealed collection, when the price on pokemon center becomes lower than third market I try and stoke up lol, great vid!
I think brilliant is a no brainer. Not everyone is focused on it and once they are it’s going to see quick gains. It’ll be an amazing long term hold

How do you predict how often reprints will happen? Isn't it typical within 2 years of a set's release? But you make a good point about the card changes. Might scoop up some lost origin & fusion strike. I got some Brilliant from pokemon center but the boxes were beat up 😔

For reprints, I've noticed usually 4 years is the safe spot where its like 99% not getting reprinted. But in terms of competitive, the last 3 years are usually legal for standard play, anything older isn't sought after by players so Pokemon typically wouldn't reprint after 3 years unless the set went absolutely crazy in popularity. Like right now all sets from 2021 are going out of rotation, so it's pretty safe to assume none will be reprinted.

I think for me it’s fusion strike( cuz gengar) then chilling then evolving skies then lost origin.
Fusion is honestly a super cool set. Gengar and espeon are amazing alt arts. I think a lot of people will want it long term! I like your top 3
Hey partner quick question so I found my old base set non-1st addition cards I have about 75 hard sleeved rares, including Charizard Venusaur Alakazam Dragonite from the jungle set. Most seem to be in 10-6 grading quality, my big question is, how do I sell bulk commons and my diamond moderate rare cards? Should I do packs of 100? I just really don’t know how to go about getting rid of them. I’ve had them for 25 years just chillin in the basement and am now getting back into the game with my now 13 year old! Dude like Pokemon just like his old man did back then 😂
Hey good question! Personally I don’t really do any work with vintage or have much at all. I’d suggest maybe packaging the common and uncommon cards in sets (1 of each) and listing on eBay. Could also go to a card shop and see if they will take. Most vintage bulk cards go for like $.25-$2 depending on the card so I doubt you’d get much for it but those holos would be awesome to grade! It’ll be very tough to get a 10 if they weren’t sleeved in top loaders but prep them nicely and you never know! Any grade is good on vintage haha
Maybe look around on CZcams for other creators who focus on vintage. There’s also Reddit forums for Pokémon investing and stuff like that with more knowledgeable collectors :) hope this helped a bit!

In Australia brilliant stars is hard to pick up for under $300
Jheeeez that’s heavy! Maybe stick to what’s ever the best price in AUS then! I’ve heard PokéOz talking lots about scooping fusion strike for a good price over there
Yeah over here you can get fusion for between $180 cheap to $220 on expensive.
Lost origin has moved and more around $240ish.
I have a mate in Canada so looking at getting some billient skies and my estimated calcs have it landed for $250. Which is pokemon centre price plus postage.

I've been looking at either the brilliant stars Charizard or Arceus.
Arceus is a pretty cheap single, honestly I’d buy both now rather than wait much longer!

I managed to pick at least one box of each of these SWSH sets within the last 10 months. Pretty happy about this. I would like to get some more Chilling Reign and Fusion Strike but these boxes are already quite expensive (180€) and not easy to find in Europe.
Nice! I’d say just get whatever you can for a good price. I have Atleast 1 of everything since rebel clash. I’d like more chilling reign too but very hard to come by for a good price here as well

To be fair, any set with a Charizard will be worth something long term 😂 just look at flashfire! Goes for double what phantom forces does even tho phantom is arguably better!

Absolutely right. It’s crazy to see how many people are ripping insane amounts of packs just to auction off. I don’t really follow too much into rip n ship type stuff but even streamers with low views are ripping dozens of booster boxes a week. Only gonna make these boxes go up in value long term
What do you think about a master set of evolving skies?
Could sell that for top dollar right now, idk how much it would grow but if your talking about pulling a master set i wouldn't even consider LOL too tricky

Lost Origin is number 2, after Evolving cries and due to it's current entry point, number 1, in terms of opportunity, at least in Australia, but agree with the sentiment of this video

Brilliant stars and origins
Both amazing sets
Evolving and Chilling Reign are my 2 personal favourites. Brilliant has plenty of room to move in terms of $$$. Overall S&S was a good era. 😊
Will be remembered as one of the greatest era's ever! Chilling and Evolving are great! It's hard for me to chose a 2nd behind Evolving Skies lol I'm always back n forth between Chilling, Brilliant and Lost.
@Trevor-TCG beside ES and CR, Brilliant and Lost come close haha. If I had to choose, I'll go Brilliant > Lost. But both are great sets. As you also mentioned, Fusion is awesome too.👍

Chilling Reign is a great set! Had to hold onto a few booster boxes of that one
Lost origin is to me easily the best to buy. Lost origin having the 2nd biggest card in the entire gen and having some solid backup cards especially the aerodactyl alt art it’s easily the best bang for your buck
It’s a great set! Definitely a good one to be picking up over the next few months. I’m sure soon it’ll see some quick growth!
