The side note of all these cards, especially in the Lost Origin set is that the card quality is abysmal in terms of printing. There is so many terrible Aerodactyl's that are seemingly clones of each other, and Giratina itself has the "line" misprint on the back, terrible centering, or the white speck nonsense on the entire back of the card. The honest truth is that finding and grading to 10 is rediculously hard for that set in particular. If you can even find a grade 9 quality of these two, that's probably a good pickup.
Good insight! I didn’t open too much lost origin but I did notice with LO and ST that quality was pretty weak. Honestly ever since PokemonGo I’ve noticed a pretty significant amount of damaged cards coming out of packs.
Ya, I actually think people simply don't realize or tty to ignore the quality individually within each set, but this set in particular set's card conditioning is so bad I needed to point it out@@Trevor-TCG

My daughter pulled the Aerodactyl Alt Art from a build and battle stadium box! Cool card but yeah the centering is way off, unfortunately so much so it’s not worth grading
@@DadsAmazingChannel that’s rough! I pulled the zeraora alt from fusion strike with terrible centering, ended up pulling another and trading the bad one for some rainbows.
Celebi v alt art is underatted in my opinion and is very cheap now.
I almost put it on this list! Decided to save it for a follow up video of the price stays low. I had a chance to get one for like $25 but it was pretty beat up so passed on it

good calls on these calls, I recently got all of these except the zard (i pulled it and it graded a 9 so I flipped it) in 10s, as i noticed the dip on them as well. I also like the urshifu vmax, mewtwo vstar, and mew v
Nice! I think the rapid strike urshifu VMax is one of my fav alt arts tbh. I still need to pick it up!
My collection goal for 2024 is to finally complete all Alternate Arts from SWSH, so it’s been great to have this dip. I’ve only been in the hobby since Lost Origin released, but once I finish that goal I’m looking backwards and focusing on my WOTC and mid era. I’m trying to jump on many of these older cards that are far more scarce than in-print ultra modern, like a secret mega charizard from flash fire I picked up last weekend at my lgs. Modern art is awesome, but it is so over printed I know I’ll still get it at a good price a couple years from now as more and more packs are opened.
Thanks for the comment! I’ve been picking up a lot of the alt arts as well and some special illustration rares. I think it’s smart to jump around and get the older stuff when you see it, you’re totally right in saying this modern era is so heavily printed. There’s probably more evolving skies singles alone then there are from all sets of the ruby/saphire era!
@@Trevor-TCG that's not true at all it just seems like that since a lot more people are into the hobby seriously nowadays. The pull rates on alt arts is actually the same pull rate as gold stars from back in the day. Some alts are actually alot harder to pull than any gold star from back in the day. Danny Phantump made a video explaining the pull rates on gold stars vs alt arts. The main difference is nowadays just alot more collectors/investors that's why you won't see any crazy price spike also these alts are far younger and had alot less time in the market to mature just look at umbreon moon just that card by itself is equivalent to 1-3 shining cards/gold stars. The modern era isn't as heavily printed as people think it just seems that way due to influencers and how often people rip products. If you opened evolving skies the set is extremely stingy with alt arts on pull rates....
Mew vmax was the first alt I pulled in my first ever booster box and that card is what got me hooked after that lol have most of the alt arts from sword and shield but they’re definitely great buys.
Nice! That’s a good one! My first big pull that got me hooked back in was the shiny Charizard V from champions path! Stoked you have most the alts! Still a few I need to pick up but hoping I can get all of em for the binder!

agree time is ticking on these alts but we won't see any crazy price swings till late 2025-2026 most of the focus rn isn't on alt arts it's more so the sealed stuff for whoever hasn't gotten in. I agree with all your picks besides the lugia v alt that specific card has been overprinted and is a lot easier and more accessible than any of its counterparts in other sets. Silver tempest had error tins which you could pull multiple top end hits from silver tempest someone opened a case and pulled 3x lugia alts in that same case
Good shout, I think if there is movement upwards it will be starting towards the end of this year and continue into 2025/2026. I’m focused on getting the last of the swsh sealed product I want right now too.
Lucia v might go down more but remember what happened with the fusion strike boxes. I guess maybe it evened out with the secret rare thefts but people were getting multiple alt arts in the misprinted booster boxes and the gengar is still $180* and over $500 in a 10
@@Trevor-TCG yea fusion strike alts were stolen but they were also recovered and destroyed which actually reduced the amount of alts in circulation few people will mention that fusion strike alts are actually alot less than normal amounts. i'm all the way with you fusion strike alts are currently undervalued if I didn't owe so much taxes I'd be all in rn on alt pickups too I already got all sealed products from swsh in my collection just missing 24x alts before i got them all

I recently picked up a PSA 10 of the inteleon VMax for only $40. I just need gengar and espeon to finish fusion strike. Gonna try and scoop soon

Id recommend it! Same with Brilliant Stars. I think CR and BS Will follow ES Pattern just at a smaller percentage over time!

Yeah I figured was better then ripping pack after pack after pack of lost origin trying to pull it and the card shop sold it to me for $200 flat. Figured why not, now I don't need to open any more lost origin trying to find it lol@@Trevor-TCG

I got all of them. Bought them singles for the most part cause trying to pull them is way too costly.
Smart! I started doing that more recently. I love to rip packs but its not financially smart if you just want 1 or 2 cool cards!
Silver Tempest is actually my favorite set to open right now. The prices of the booster boxes has already gone pretty high. I like the advice in the video. Subscribed! I’ll be doing a lot of the buying and selling in my channel when I start making videos and it’s nice to see another flippers take

Not second best carnt be..fusion has gengar and lost has giritina..easily 1 and 2 because of top cards only..Stars is good but it's not 2..almost equal with silver.as silver has better trainer
Everyone will have opinions on personal favorites. I think Lost Origin is almost as good as Brilliant Stars but you need to take into account the hits. Just because Gengar is cool doesn't make Fusion Strike the best set. Same with Giratina. There needs to be a multitude of great cards.

The Raw Value chart is from TCG Player, The PSA Value is from Price Charting and the POP Report is from PSA's website :) I edit the screenshots together before adding into the video :)

I’ll be making a video next week on special illustration rares, I think some are a good pickup. I’ve been scooping multiple copies of the cheaper ones that are under or around $5
Where do you go to check value of these cards
I use TCG Player and Price Charting (where I got the graphs and graded numbers) I also check eBay listings and local card shops too

I hope so! I’d saw maybe trade a bunch of bulk Vs and ex cards to a shop to bring down the price! I doubt it’s gonna drop much if it ever does

That mew from fusion strike isnt even the best alt art mew in fusion strike, the other one is better, only fusion strike alt art im missing is the espeon
TBH I'm not a big fan of the Mew V Alt. But the Vmax Alt isnt anything crazy by any means. I really need to get that Espeon too!
@@Trevor-TCG I had a huge stack of fusion strike boosters gathered from various boxes I wasn't opening. Had them sat in my room for months then got bored n opened them. One of first packs was the gengar alt art 😁

The Gengar for me will be an iconic card. Plenty of Umbreons out there and Fusion Strike has horrendous pull rates. This will overtake
I need to scoop the gengar, iconic card and I think it will continue to increase in price. Too many psa 10 Moonbreon out there, eventually everyone will move onto some of the other alt arts
