I agree. I think he could've won for The Dark Knight. He was great in all of them, but that film might have been the best chance of him winning, if he was nominated for any of them, due to the competition in 2008 best actor nominees.

The last scene in this movie Fighter where Bale is being interviewed with Mickey (Wahlberg) hit me, unexpectedly. The raw emotion and relativity put in in just that one scene got me searching to make sure Bale won an Oscar for his performance and sure enough lol here I am watching one of the modern greats recieve the award deservedly so even above Rushs performamce. Bale defintely cements himself as one of the best actors of all time
Grew up with him as batman. I remember being that 15 year old kid walking out the cinema after TDKR just thinking that we'll never see his batman again. Quite a bittersweet moment but for all his work in his projects over the years, he deserves way more than 1 academy award.

CB is an amazing actor - if you have never seen Empire of the Sun, I highly recommend. He was all of 13 years old, and turns out an incredible performance. I think it's ironic that Reese Witherspoon presented him with this award, because I think her performance for Man in the Moon - she is @14 in that movie - is equally matched. Just incredible.
