Bong Joon-ho His name got 4O's so he won 4 Oscars lol

Only Tarantino. Nolan sucks
@@mauriciodominguez595 Tarantino is an amazing screenwriter but as a filmmaker he doesn’t even compare to Christopher Nolan’s genius and imagination
@@Joker-sy4xr the difference is that one bases his greatness on the soundtrack and the other one through their characters and dialogues 🤷

@Piero Francisco Muro Ipenza
No está sobrevalorada, lo que pasa es que muchas personas no analizan la película y los detalles que tiene a fondo, esta bien es tu opinión, no te gustó, pero tampoco eres crítico así que sobrevalorada no es.
@Piero Francisco Muro Ipenza

Damien Chazelle
Tom Hooper on that list is just a disgrace. David Fincher made a true masterpiece in The Social Network.
Agree
The social network perfected everything, the fast paced structure of it was so well managed, on top of that we got some of the finest performances of the decade. Garfield, Eisenberg, even Timberlake are all amazing in the movie, it's a shame that the oscar was not won by Fincher, I am happy that atleast Sorkin got the recognition he deserved by the academy
COMPLETELY. Hooper was so vastly outperformed by almost every director on the nominees list - Fincher, Aronofsky, the Coens & Nolan (who wasn't even NOMINATED) killed it that year. I was sure Fincher was going to win after he won the Golden Globe but alas :((
Finally! Someone Agrees! Inception and The Social Network were masterpieces, The King's Speech was nothing compared to them!
Nolan worked on Masterpiece for 10 Years, How did the director of cats get an oscar over Nolan?! This is ridiculous.
Also if you go check his oscar video, it has more dislike than likes. It deserves that. 😡
I guess academy seems to watch movies and select on the basis of their emotionally connectivity ,their simple stories of common people. They often ignore those directors who make technical yet impressive movies. Hope academy nominates tenet for best director, best vfx, best production designer and as well as mank
It's very cool that the academy recognize the talent outside the United States as they did with my countrymen Guillermo, Alejandro and Alfonso and now from Korea Bong-Joon Ho incredible!!!!♥️
Viva México ahre!♥️
Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, France, United Kingdom.. It's nice to see!
And New Zealand, Peter Jackson
Viva Mexico!!🇲🇽
Tom Hooper winning over Fincher and Nolan is ridiculous...
yes it is. David fincher and darren arnosfky were better choice
AND black swan, can’t forget about that one too.
Well we can agree that hopper shoudnt eón the oscar
Agreed! Hopefully Fincher wins next year for Mank.
@@cdfcdf9415 idk King's Speech and Les Miserables were pretty good

The Pianist, Brokeback Mountain, No Country for Old Men and Roma are some of the finest directorial masterpieces I have ever seen.
And The Revenant

Parasite

Raging Bull
Taxi Driver
The Aviator
Goodfellas
The wolf of wall street
Shutter Island

Ridley Scott
Christopher Nolan...they both deserve an Oscar before leaving this world!
Quentin Tarantino won 2 Oscars
Now I know there's a lot of movies and a lot of directors who are yet to win an Oscar and it's tough. But the fact that Martin freaking Scorsese has only one Oscar is just insane.
And also kinda mad QT doesnt have a single best director and he just has one more movie before he retires. Hope he earns that Oscar.

I always get filled with joy every time I see Peter Jackson win that Oscar.
King of kings ❤️
I just want Quentin to win an Oscar for directing.
Tarrentino already got 2 for screenplay. He doesn't need any other, indeed other hardworking director should get the opportunity like Nolan, fincher etc.
Bong joon-ho is just amazing
I hope Tarantino and Nolan get one some time in the near future, they’re outstanding and I put them and Scorsese up there as my personal best of all time.
So from the 2010s, 5 of the winners were Mexican, 2 Asian, 2 French & 1 Brit.
Not bad Academy... not bad
@Human Bean Greta Gerwig was the only deserved candidate. And she lost to guillermo... Even i liked Lady Bird over The shape of water... But Not Bad
@Human Bean Im talking about past decade Goddamit(2010-20). And only two female directors got nominated. And Kathryn Bigelow won that damn award for "The Hurt Locker"
@Human Bean Chloe Zhao is the favourite to win this year for Nomadland, I think.

Mr. Lee and Oscars -
Mr. Ang Lee was clear favourite to win Best director in 2001 for "Crouching tiger,Hidden dragon" film (won DGA award too) but got snubbed by Mr.Steven Soderbergh (Traffic).
Later in 2013 -
Mr. Ben Affleck was clear favourite to win Oscar (won DGA too) for Argo but that year academy did not even nominate him hence Mr.Ang Lee won for Life of Pi.
