I love how Heath’s Joker says “You’ve changed things...forever” because it actually relates to his performance as Joker. I also liked when J.K. Simmons’ character in Whiplash did the cut off and the music stopped. This was amazing!

Imo joaqin phoenix wud be thanking him, as his performance had to be on par with heath's, this created a target for him on wht to achieve. So for me heath's performance was wht we call as changing the meta!!

In Live Action, yes. But Mark Hamill has the best portrayal overall
Jack Nicholson did the comicbook version, Heath Ledger did the mentally deranged psykopat, and Joaquin Phoenix did the human version. They all did fantastic work

Linda Jürgensen I remember when Denzel won for Best Actor in Training Day, Ethan Hawks said in a interview that if he [Ethan] did his job correctly, Denzel will win. Don’t get me wrong you could have Denzel cut a monologue on a coffee mug and he still would’ve won but it shows how important the supporting role is and I agree, sometimes the supporting role is usually the best actors (Pesci, Ali, Ledger, Bardem, etc.)
JK Simmons was definitely my favorite other than Heath ledger
