    Last year (2021), I started bird-dawgin this Italian beauty.
    Last month (September 2022), I gave Plano, TX Moto Guzzi a $500 deposit.
    Early in the morning of 10/17/2022, I submitted my online “reservation” for the 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Sport - “Centenario” Livery (premium Verde 2121 color) - Special Edition $17,490.
    The customer care representative told me my Order# 190 was the 1st V100 Mandello order received by Moto Guzzi USA online store.
    I’m SUPER EXCITED!
    To me, the V100 Mandello is STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS!

    Absolutely love this bike, have been wanting one since I first saw it last year. Beautifully executed design, quality build, and a lot of motorcycle for the money. I have a 21 Tuono Factory and it most certainly is an amazing beast, but not the most comfortable machine for long rides. I plan to use the V100 for longer trips, comfort with agility is what I am looking for. Would have liked to see the HP up around 130 or so, but in reality 115hp with ample low end torque will be plenty. Bravo Moto Guzzi

    I'm absolutely blown away by the bike's looks and modern features, as well as it's handling on the road having just taken out a base model last week from a dealer. It's just gorgeous and the only bike I've really seriously considered buying new since my Ducati 851 in 1990 (yes, I know that was a long time ago but I'm pretty fussy). Arse ache in 45 mins on the 851, but I loved it. This is a whole different kettle of fish and SO comfy to ride. Like others have pointed out, I want the Mandello S with the gold wheels that the base models have but this can't be sorted out directly with the factory when you order, so options are either buy the gold rims (4 wheels to then own) or have your black ones colour coded to the cam cover gold. Seems crazy and the wrong way around. Having said that, the S is still gorgeous with the black rims and perhaps Guzzi felt that with the gold Ohlins already fitted, that was enough gold bling. Either way, gold or black rims should have been an option. I'm ordering a Verde S!

      man,i am excited to pick up the v100s in black and grey..you were telling us how comftarble it is and thats gonna be a treat as well to me..ride safe..

    Owned a number of Guzzis, favs are Griso and my current Stelvio. Stelvio is 105 HP (I think) and 275kg, but plenty of power for real world riding, the secret (which Guzzi specialise in )is torque. This new bike has to be one of the best looking bikes released in ages, can see it being the bike that brings more people to Moto Guzzi, although I've always liked the feeling of being on something a bit different.

      @Docv400 Před rokem +2

      Torque is far more important than outright Power, unless you're racing.
      I'm happy to let people throw their cash at more powerful Bikes, while Guzzi just get on with what they do best, making superb Road Bikes that have the perfect output for 'Real-World' riding.
      My GS1200LC owning friend gets pissed off when I out accelerate him on my Stelvio, and he has 25 more Horses to play with! 😆

    Great video again BMR ! This is a terrific design to my eyes, pleasing at every angle. Price is a bit steep for me but there many bikes in the category that are much higher. Sadly, no room in the garage or budget for me. Had this come along before I bought my Z900RS Cafe it would have been a strong contender although I got the Z for $13,000 CDN. Hope you get a chance to ride one and give us your personal review then. Also, more Griso content please.

    Really good, well edited review. You did one of the best at initial unveiling. I’m getting one of the 1st in the UK. A green/silver “S” version and I’ll have the wheels sprayed gold as they had at EICMA last year. As it should be….

      @ljj808 Před rokem +1

      Pete Hi. Good Call on the wheels. CRAZY not to offer in Gold. Is your dealer arranging the painting or how are you doing ?? My nearest dealer is in Southampton. I’ve asked them about this. They despair that Guzzi refuse to swap out the Black wheels for Gold. I’ve asked if they’ll do/arrange the paint-change pre PDI and charge me at Cost. Let me know how you’re doing it please. Also are you buying, or PCP ?? What options are you getting - incl luggage and prices ? Look forward to hearing from you, Thank You and enjoy your V100.

      Strange that they won't swap them out. The next idea is to ask the dealer to ask anyone who is buying a white or red version if they would like your wheels...in exchange for their's? Still, nice problem to have.

    Thank you for the detailed look at this model. Was looking specifically at the sport touring aspects of this bike. Currently enjoying my 14 Norge, and am anticipating not replacing it for a while. Looking for a backup just in case. Wanted to keep it in the Guzzi family.
    I'm glad they're keeping the main visual characteristic of Guzzis with the engine layout. I will miss the organic feel of the classic engine and it's quirks. Plus not having to deal with liquid cooling and easy valve maintenance. Hopefully the V100 will be relatively simple for users to do on their own, since Guzzi shops and dealers are few and far in between in the U.S.

    The V100 has been on my future shopping list since I first heard about it last year and is the first Guzzi I've ever considered. I did wince at the price and kinda hoped that it might turn out to be so flawed I could go back to looking at cheaper alternatives but all the road tests I've read so far are full of praise, the only criticisms being about the quickshifter sometimes being a bit reluctant between 1st and 2nd and the need to enter a dash menu to adjust the heated grips and screen height; not exactly major flaws. So I'm saving my pennies like crazy and devouring as many reviews and road tests as I can. Thank you for a very balanced report. I found it particularly valid coming from an existing Guzzi rider.

    The price is about what I thought it would be. Id compare this to a fully kitted BMW R1250RS. I cant wait for the Mandello have had one on order since they were announced. Only problem is it looks like in Blighty we will get them in the salty road season. But for salty weather I have my trusty V7 850 Stone, which survived last years UK winter very well. If the V100 finish is up to the standard of V7 850 Stone I will be really impressed.

    I love her from the moment I saw her and believe the price is fine despite it sounds rather expensive she's loaded with lots of technology. You buy a KYMCO 3cycle for 1.000 Eur less from the basic model and a TMax almost at the same price and I don't think there is any comparison between them and Mandello V100. As for the design FANTASTIC

    Thanks for the great info and vid. Yesterday I received an email from Moto Guzzi USA with US pricing for the two models and a pre-order form to facilitate an order. In the US the base model (in red or white) will sell for $15490 while the S model (green/silver and black/grey) will sell for $17490. When I pulled up the pre-order sheet and selected my local dealer, it provided dealer prep fees and taxes. The S model on the road was $20043 and change. I think this is reasonable pricing for what one is getting in the current bike market. BTW, the limited edition model is not available in the US.
    Personally, I'm not excited by either of the S model colours and would prefer an S model in the red colour. If I have to choose, I'd go with the black/grey combination. I called my local dealer and asked them when they thought they would have some demo bikes so I could test ride one. They said the pre-ordered bikes will arrive in early to mid-Dec and the demo bike should arrive at the end of the year or early Jan 2023. I'll be waiting to test ride one before deciding on to purchase a V100 or not. The power and torque seems to be a little low but I'll withhold judgement until I get to ride one.

    HI, I’m interested in this particular motorbike not because of brand loyalty, I’ve always loved Guzzis and the LeMans model of the 70s is probably the first picture of a motorbike that fixed my attention (never to be lost again) but I’ve never owned one and only test rode a V7 III Speciale when hunting for a second motorbike for more leasurely riding and I confess that I wasn’t overwhelmed by that bike, except for the aesthetics. I’m drawn to this motorbike because I’m a big believer in sport-touring bikes as motorcycles that best combine the practical -touring capability- with the emotional, i.e. riding dynamics and aesthetics. I’ll definitely will test ride one when they arrive to my local dealer who I’m happy to have in my town and who happens to be also the dealer of my current mount, a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000sx Tourer which I love. That’s where my doubts lie. It’s give or take 5 kg the same weight as the Ninja but makes around 25 hp less and has less torque although arguably making most of it at a lower rev range. The S version has more tech on board but even the stripped down basic version seems to be priced a couple of thousand euros above the Ninja… I will definitely give it a try when the time comes to retire the Ninja and if the Mandello had been around when I bought my Kawa, it would certainly had been a contender, I find the red version very appealing and I hope that the performances and riding abilities are on a par with the asking price. I cannot comment on character, to me it’s a very elusive concept, the V7 is adored by a lot of riders for her character, I found it to be a rather outdated bike that left me wanting in the domains that for me matter most when I get on a bike, agreement and performances. Thank you for your very well edited and presented video. Cheers

      I'm guessing the V100 will feel at least as powerful as the power is produced far lower in the more usable region of the rev range. My Vstrom will out perform a KTM 1200/GS1250A below 5K as it makes all its torque at 4K, where I use it. I'm not sure how often you spend at 8-11K on your SX, but that's rare air for me. Cheers.

      @@BlueMarbleRider After having ridden the GS (but also a KTM) and the Ninja SX in identical conditions, I can confirm that the big twins have more torque (although the SX is quite torquey for an inline-four) but the inline-four is more flexible, I can be in third when I would have to use a lower gear on the GS and when I need to accelerate it will pick up in a very linear way, should I need more punch, I just change gears (very light on the SX not so on the GS) and the engine will very quickly rev well above 5000 and deliver a lot of power. Where the big-twins really excel is i engine-breaking. Cheers

    Torque Reaction?
    That was Eliminated when the CARC Drivetrain was introduced, so it's not been an issue on the Bikes equipped with it, since 2003/4(?)

    I own 3 Guzzis, a V9, a V85-TT and a 1973 V7 sport, and I will make them 4 with the Mandello. However.....I don't think that I want the first year in production. Let them figure out all the corks and correct them. 2024 or 2025 will be the year that I'm writing a check for it.
