enjoy watching these little guys and gals. this one wasn't in a hurry to get out of the water. need to get a birdbath myself and set it up as i miss seeing these birds antics in the water. my 3 pet parrots hunker themselves down in their water dish to bathe. enjoy watching them . i've noticed when one parrot bathes the others follow him.i guess he tells them they stink and to wash their nasty butt. they're my buddies ages 14,11, and 8.( they have a lifespan of 25 yrs ). enjoy giving the doves and pigeons food scraps and watching them eat. they waste nothing. if somebody was messing with my doves i'd have to hurt them. peaceful birds that bother no one. same for the pigeons. enjoy your videos. i pull them up at random 3-4 every night. thanks for posting.
Walter, you must have the most popular birdbath in the state of Georgia! :-) That dove looked like he was coolin' his feet off. I know how good that feels! After watching him in there I think I'll go fill the tub and relax for half an hour or so!
I hate people are killing these birds and their so cute, do you know what makes my day better, hearing the sound of this dove, it's so peaceful, and some people find it ANNOYED:(
Well when they bush their feathers they are cooling themselves down. Something I've learned from having 34 exhotic birds at the house. While mine might not use a bird bath like that one they all have a bath to use in their cages. I have 2 Love Birds; 3 Quaker Parrots; and 29 Cockatiels and I've hand raised 95 babies that were born at the house. Talk about learning patience, you learn that with baby birds.
What country is this.in? we've got these near our home in Bahrain and one just laid laid an egg today in a best it's been working on for months outside the kitchen window. seems both parents were helping with the best.

I don't own a bird bath so last summer I put out a turkey roaster & filled that. The birds loved it. (I thought it was going to be too small.)
