- Ri'tu is the most recent Arena addition to Octopath CotC, who focuses heavily on physical damage and hitting your units many, MANY times in a row. However, he team's composition all shares one specific weakness that can be easily exploited to turn the fight in your favor!

Wow. She went down real fast. JP did not lie when they said she is the easiest Champion. I will start farming her in preparation for the Gertrude Cup (who WILL murder us, unlike Ri'Tu 😂).
Thanks! As other watcher I defeated her first try she was the easiest so far. Thanks for suggesting using Noelle for Varkin because she was also mvp here now I love her 😂

I find it funny how great lianna is in this fight not as breaker or healer but as a raiser and defensive debuffer especially with her sacred blaze accessory + ebony dragon scarf increasing her up time and usage. I paired her with viola for extending aoe debuffs while I can run shield breakers and anti-atk to take care of the champion when she is being guarded and chip away ad shields.

Nice video as always! But how are we not talking about Lianna?! 😀 AoE attack down that's also a weakness for some enemies, and a front row Elem Attack up with a heal. Awesome for this fight.
Put her and Lynette in same row and keep rotating for whatever is needed that turn.

With debuffers mentioning Feline for her AoE attack down to stack with others, Is Lianna basically a better version of this (other than possibly the SP cost)?
You can stack lianna and felline to get that to 25% if you want
Haven't done any arenas other than Tikilen yet, as I've been slow on content...
But after hearing that Ri'Tu is weak to wind, my Tikilen, Tressa, Odette, and various 4*s doubled over in laughter. Might honestly do this before the other arenas, as most of my "main story" party has wind access.

Shizukatz is one of the only people I've seen correctly refer to Menno as they/them. Menno is the only character currently whose in-game profile uses they/them pronouns.
This is the first arena fight I won before watching Shizukatz's videos on the fight. He specifically warned against all the mistakes I made. XD Even so, I won first try, but it would've gone smoother if I had watched this first.
Surprised that i beat her… on my first actual attempt. (Total 2)
I beat all the arenas fighters in one try since I got destroyed by tikilen like after 6 try.
I have an A4 Gilderoy and I was able to taunt with him during the whole fight, he got close to dying a couple of times but never did. then used Cyrus, Lynette and Scarecrow to break and damge Ri'tu.
I like Ri'tu a lot, so I'm a little conflicted about how to feel that she went down first try... it was surreal though, she took out my Tikilen and A2 Viola before either of the adds went down, but I just barely scraped out a 1st try win with Noelle, Menno and, somehow, Lynette? Incinerating Step works good in a pinch, I guess.
I think I need Ri' Tu for, well reasons...
Day 1 Leeto win first try
You are underestimating Lianna. Boostable PATK/EATK down, AoE PATK/EATK down, healing, EATK up, and most importantly, **priority evasion**. That last one basically guarantees your tank will evade the very hard-hitting nuke once Leeto gets low on HP. Combined with a wall like Jedah or an evasion tank like Tressa or Cardona+Adelle, this can take most of Leeto's nuke phase off the table as during said nuke phase, Leeto's attack pattern places 3 nukes in a row, twice over an 8 turn cycle; you can spam Sidestep faster than Leeto can use them up.
If my 5k edea can't tank their attacks, noone can
