- Hunts and Class-Up are still both pretty misunderstood concepts this early into the game, so I'm here to hopefully clear up any misconceptions. I also wanted to briefly address the EXP disparity between the two languages and how that should affect some of the decision making I think the playerbase should be going by. Hope you enjoy!

Nice guide! The outro disclaimer reminds me when I started playing Another Eden a year after Global version came out and I was frustrated because I couldn't even try the current chapter as I was very underleveled. I had to go through main and side stories, use the gacha, get better weapons and only then I could get up to date. OT CotC works quite the same: you'll eventually beat that boss or finish that hunt, don't rush and enjoy the game!

Another great guide. I have just beaten the first three Masters yesterday and while I haven't hit the wall yet, it's good to be prepared. I know a couple of people have recommended to invest on full 4*s instead of 3.5*s but I don't mind the grind if I'll have a better unit eventually.

I think some people are not really sprinting through content really, it’s just the game isn’t tying us down with stamina bars and such so we’re just basically enjoying the story while playing 1-X hours of the game 😅

I got copies of scarecrow and the apothecary guy, so do I save their extra core thing or do I just use it to get the extra stats?
@@pokeaholic123 use the awakening crystal I would try to get to awakened 2 so you can have the 4th skill slot available
But in one of his videos, he said to save awakening stones to raise skills to level 10 or something thou?

You will see a lots and lots of new charters in the future in jp sever new charters it’s overwhelming

Nice overview about classups, guidestones and exchange. So can you say again what your exact recommendation is to trade shards in the exchange, what would be the best use for the shards?
Im still brand new to the game (just started playing like 5 days ago) and kinda hook with it, i taught to progress further into the story is just doing the quest and bit of grind, then here im stuck and the final battle against tytos, i complete most side story from Tytos part. Leveling up my character (almost 30) and still stuck. Im lacking equipment. And didnt know what to do tbh. So i try searching YT about guide to levelup, grind, equipment, ascend and more, and in complete failure cause most of it are OT from the orginal game. Good thing i stumble upon your channel, thanks for the guide :)
Ps is there any guide that could help me more on nh progress especially the Maim quest? Maybe im just lacking on level and equipment maybe. Idk
Hunts are one of the parts of Champions of the Continent that I think was really improved from the prequel (Another Eden). I really prefer Hunts to Another Dungeons due to the removal of the random encounters, and the "easy hunt" option lacking in Another Eden.
Easy Hunt actually wasn't even in the JP game until more recently, and it's definitely a welcome addition! xD
I felt weird because I'm taking the thing slowly and everyone else had the hunts unlocked in one or the second day of the release.

I've got a pretty random question, are there any 3 stars that are actually worth something, or even remotely useful up until like mid-game?
The ones I recommend looking into the most would probably be Diego, Felline, and Vivian, while another unit (Billy) sees usefulness much later down the line. Additionally, the 3* Scholars can be quite useful for a bit more elemental coverage, as well as their Analyze abilities.
Thanks for the great info! Regarding the character's level cap keeping increases (ex: 45-> 65) when class up, does this also include when you roll the character in the gacha or only if you perform class-up by spending holy marks?
Yes as they are both class upgrades, just different methods.

This is how I am doing my little RPG, though went for a more Guilty Gear look. It is sci-fi fantasy, and you get to explore different planets. Love this game!
Yet another fantastic and informative video. Question please; what's the best way to level up outside of limited things? Is it really as simple as going to the highest-level dungeon available and beating up enemies, or are there tricks? It sounds like I'm going to want to level up a huge variety of units but it's already quite hard to do so.
Ah! Also, how do we unlock new Hunts? I still only have the Lv25 Lizard one although my group is 35+.

In a long session the other day I legit hit two nearly back to back cultured coy caits and banked 100k xp and maxed my usable 3 and 3.5s lmao.
I was so confused cause they didn't run either lol. So im currently just using weaker units in my backing to level up alongside the 2 5*s I have (viola and scarecrow, actually hit viola twice more so she's Awakening 2) and the few 4*s i have.
I figure in the long run I want every character I own to be maxed for more versatility so its good.
The EN daily caits are great for levelling those weaker units
Can you put a small guide for weapons and armour? Because I do not know which is best among the 3 versions of same level amour/weapon for each character

If this is in terms of 5* characters, I currently have no plans to do any content regarding Awakening. I'm of the opinion that characters for the most part are complete just by having them as a 5* version, without needing Awakening, so I don't really account for it in any of my content if I don't need to. That being said, I have covered Awakening for specifically Arena Champions like Tikilen, because everyone will be able to get them at some point just by playing.

I'm struggling a bit with exp and I'm wondering how other people are getting so high. The recommended level for my current main quest is 40 and only my main character is at that level. Should I farm random encounters or just stick to caits, nuts and Hunts for exp?
Is there anywhere a site that shows all the elite locations? From every area? I’m looking to do all the ones I missed but it’s so hard to remember where’s they all are. Including the ones inside buildings

The farmer says I'm supposed to find someone in Clearbrook, but I can't find where this is. Is this locked behind story progression?

It's mind-blowing how fast people are going with this game. I personally chose to raise 2 different teams as to not over level the couple strongest units I have and also to have a way to experiment and find out which units go well together, so I won't be having this issue soon
That is normal, just look some ppl beat elden ring on day one so you can took it as positive response cuz it's mean those ppl really enjoyed this game
Great video! Just curious is it possible to max out the character boards that require jp or should would only aim for some boards rather than all?
It will eventually be possible to get every single node unlocked, once a character reaches their maximum level (including level uncaps). For now, I'd skip the small bonuses on the earlier board if they're not required, as that JP can be used on bigger things later.
Okay so i am currently at chapter 8 and i already have 3 4.5 star units that are stuck on their current cap around level 65. Heathcote, Sofia and Tressa. I always have them on my hunts along with all my other 5 stars to get guidestones for level cap increase while still having 500+ power influence to get max chests. What do I do at this point now? I feel like it's going to take forever for me to get them from 4.5 to 5 star just from hunts, and even just the daily 5 5star guide stones is not fast enough for them to catch up on levels. Do i just go and look for 4 stars that i can reliably level up to 70+? i hope you notice this thank you.
Been playing the hell out of the game I got about 5 multis saved up right now. I am on Master of All chapter 1. I am so glad there is more then the three towns. I honestly thought for now Rippletide would be it for now and would have to wait. The thing is I am trying to get to the point where I am waiting for new stuff the sooner the better, I love the game and I need to class up my Sigrid she is my only 4 and a half star unit. I am assuming when Tressa banner ends I have a feeling Therion will be next, Just a hunch tho. Also since you played the JP I was gonna ask about the limited units I saw you can get Auguste, Tytos, and the witch of greed. Are they really strong or they meh? Also every unit that isn't collab just gets added into the normal banner after right? Like Tressa for example?
The Boss units are quite strong, yea :)
Not every non-collab unit gets added to permanent banner. There are a few categories of Limited units that only return when other Limited units get released.

@@norman20100 Lol too late now I am on Master of All Chapter 8 right now. But that isn't as fast as a lot of others, I have seen people with characters in the 80s already. My team is only around 55-56 range right now.

I prefer going to Lv70 first, as it picks up some extra influence at Lv65 and +1 BP at Lv70, and then going to Awakening 3 after.

What dictates an unit influence value? How does it increases?
You showed on screen that your Cardona and Cecily were both at 300 influence.
I thought that it was linked to influence nodes you unlocked on your skill board, but my 80 influence Viola only has +60 influence worth of nodes.
May you or someone else elaborate a bit in a reply? Thanks.
Influence can be increased further using nodes past the default Level Cap - ones that are Locked by default.
The influence up are in the skill board and his team are all level 90 so he unlocked and extra influence block that were lock before level 90 you unlock another one when you are at around level 98 to 100

How can you tell if you met the influence threshold for the 3 chest reward in a hunt? Is there a visual cue (example: visible check mark?) that tells you that you met the 3 chest influence requirement? Thank you for all of your hard work! Great content!
There's no visual indicator, but you can see how much influence your party has when you're selecting which party to bring into the hunt. It's at the top of the screen; you can see it in the video at 4:50.

It does not, the only thing it affects is quest progress since you don't actually fight the boss of the hunt :)
Is it fine to juse use your best team to do the first clear of each hunt, and then do the influence/unit team optimization for easy hunt for future clears?
Also, with guidestones is it better to prioritise awakening or limit break first?
Yes that method is perfectly fine!
I personally advocate for 4*s to go to Lv70 first before Awakening, as the +60 Influence from Lv65 and the +1 BP from Lv70 are both very high value to me.

with new heathcote banner also stating the same as tressa, they eventually plan on adding them to the chance encounter once their banner has ended. Which brings me to the question does that not mean the standard banner will have a rather large pool of characters in the future if every non limited/collab character gets added to it? thus making rubies value increase in its value to roll at a later stage of the game rather than now? xD
Ya if U save currency in any game it’s worth more later lmao but u will miss out in the present moment so idk if it’s worth it

LOL I felt attacked at beginning of the video as I'm currently level locked, my 3.5 stars reached its cap and I find myself login into the game and not being able to progress much becau the story has become a higher level...

@ShizukatzCotC i need your help where i can farm Silversnow Softenstone its write that is in cave of laments but which monster drop it i need that to enhance weapon from II to III?
The materials needed to improve Innocent weapons can be found by defeating the Elite Enemies, not the normal enemies. As such, they are a bit timegated since you have to wait for the respawns.
However, you can Force Close your game if the Elite doesn't drop the material you're looking for. That being said, each Elite has a specific drop table and not all of them will drop all of the different kinds of improvement material!
@@ShizukatzCotC there is some list somewhere? i kill 4 different elites everyone 2 times for now but they give always same material i will try tip with reroll in cave of laments on bird because reptile is a lot stronger
bear drop for me that last material i have enhance III but looks like its max for now i was hoping for longer grind
Unrelated, but are you able to replay the boss fights? Like instantly face off against Tytos again if I were to beat him?
Not currently, but Tytos, Herminia, and Auguste will eventually be refightable... in MUCH harder versions as well, if you're up to the challenge!

Thank you for another really helpful and informative video! Personally I don't really care that much about the EXP in hunts and I have one question:
Do higher lvl hunts have higher rare/very rare drop probabilities then lower lvl hunts in terms of holy marks?
From what we could tell on JP, all Hunts had equal probability of dropping the good stuff, so just pick whichever is appropriate!
How do you increase the influence?
Small tips for boss fights could be nice. No one is talking about the difficulty spike in the bosses. I was able to get past the Fame boss. But Power, is ridiculous. Steals BP, stops BP regen. His mission is super easy and then get to the boss and he just destroys me. I hate stupid difficulty spikes like this. And most characters are lvl 30. This is lvl 20.
Love the videos and this is coming off as a rant. It is, not to you just to the game.

I haven't seen the (seemingly) random Class-Up mechanic during a pull explained. I've had it happens to me twice now, I pull a 3.5 star that I already had as a 3.5 star and it Classed-Up right there during the pull to a 4 star. I'm super happy about it, but haven't seen this explained anywhere... is it random? Do we know yet the rate at which it happens?
The rate is basically just the pull rate of the character in gacha. Pulling the 4* version from the gacha is what causes the Class-Up.
@@ShizukatzCotC gacha! :-) Ok, cool. So just pulling the 4-star replaces my 3.5 star AND it gives me the stones for the character. Seems like a nice little bonus.
I have all four four-star travelers for a couple classes. Is there anything to do with the spare class-specific sacred seals? Or do they just clog up my item menu forever?
There will eventually be more 4*s for each class (Hopefully). Not sure why Square Enix hasn't started releasing them yet.
I don't remember if you've mentioned this but is it worth to exchange memory shards for materials ?
Yes, spending memory shards to advance the Nameless Town is better as it means you unlock more structures faster, and you start getting good return-on-investment early on.

theres a coliseum if you beat the final boss they will join you.
When do you unlock the coliseum then
Arena will be released in a later update, coinciding with a future story update. I'd expect around 3rd or 4th month.
Does anyone know when you hit the max if the character still gets xp but it’s locked until you limit break one level ? If so can they continue to gain multiple levels and unlock when you get supplies ? I guess the reason I ask is there any reason to get xp for people at limit.
They can bank up to 1 full Lv worth of EXP.
ex if you are capped at Lv63 but keep getting EXP, when u uncap to lv64 it's possible to be just 1 EXP away from lv64.
I do have a question, is it worth to kill the elite enemies everyday? for resources and such ? or only a certain elite enemies like the ones on the nameless town?
theres 1 daily quest, you need to kill 1 elite so
No dose not worth you time to do it in hunt just kill the one in town

About the enemies spawned on any hunt, on wich conditions these can change the enemies into caits?
It's random, you just enter the hunt and any of the enemies have a chance to become caits.
@@ShizukatzCotC I was confusef due to the first expert hunt were always is a cait battle, recently i discovered that the monster i hadn't seen there was a super boss on this hunt 😂

JP CotC had Cyrus come out in Month 5, which is more than enough time to save up a Spark for him, ASSUMING EN follows the same-ish schedule.
@@ShizukatzCotC got 1.500 gems right now. I really think this is a good game, have no problem finishing with my mediocre team. only have 1 5* with some 2 4* bertrand archer and noelle, other only at 3*. how about heath cothe? do you make a video abut this unit?
What about hunts that have enemies that don't always show up? Is there a trick to getting them to appear or is it just RNG?
It's all RNG unfortunately. Just have to keep going until they show up!
Do the prior skill boards need to be completely filled before class up option is available?
They do not, you can Class-Up at Lv1 if you want.
wait so if I complete a hunt with my main team, If I use a completely different team would i still be able to use easy hunt?
You can choose a different team every time you enter a hunt, including Easy Hunt! :)
I am playing fairly casual. If not I know I will burn out. Even playing casual I feel like I am leveling super fast.

I tested it. You can only keep the same level but be 1 exp point from leveling up to the next level
so i need to proritze on getting 3x chest rather than putting character i want to unlock cap?
what if i have all 5 star squad and dont need seals anymore so probably focus od guidestone rather than seal because they are not usabel after get 5 star unit
I would focus on getting guidestones for 5* then.
Once your 5* units get leveled up enough, you have full 5* teams that have enough influence to targetting specific hunts again, if you want to plan ahead for the future.
If I learned anything in JP, it was to be patient. Everyone worrying about the initial pulls, don't, your roster WILL build over time. The 3.5*'s will go away and you will pull those 5*'s. With the 5* pool so small at launch you are more likely to fill out your roster and class up those 4.5*'s. Great video as usual, keep it up!
If u dont clear all the enemies in a hunt then do an easy hunt, do you get less rewards than if you had killed all the enemies.

How come you only did the warrior job tower? Is it content that cannot be completed with 4 star units?
The Warrior Tower came out first, and these job towers reset monthly, which is why I have so many of the Warrior one specifically xD
@@ShizukatzCotC how hard are they to do? Are all the towers manageable for f2p players?, it seems to me that there aren't enough good 4star characters from each class to make up an 8 team squad
1. The Job Towers came out well into the JP release, so there was plenty of time to get a team together for people that had been playing a decent amount by that point.
2. The tower itself has 10 floors (5 regular floors, 5 EX floors); I believe only 4 floors need to be cleared to get a Gold Holy Mark.
3. The highest floors are extremely difficult, but in theory doable for F2P players if they get the right units (I THINK that my clear of EX5 Warrior Tower was the first known instance of it being cleared by a Western player, and I'm F2P). At the very least, as the Tower rotates in and out, it can be cleared on later instances even if they cannot be cleared the first time (I didn't clear the Tower until the 2nd instance).

Does it work if you just switch up 1-3 characters just to get the extra rewards with the party's influence?
Since I have a mix of everything in my party I don't meet the requirements to get any other than the basic reward sadly I also got like only 10-12 characters with high enough level to participate in actual hunts. So I just thought that for easy hunts I could switch out some party members with other characters just to meet the influence requirements and get the full rewards. Would that work out?
You have 10 Party slots, so I dedicate one of those slots to my Hunt team so I don't have to constantly switch ppl in and out :)

Is it worth it to make a party purely focusing on their influence points regardless of their levels to get extra rewards on the easy hunts?
You should mention save up the hunts prior to the new banner to receive higher bonus of gold guidestones since it's hard to increase level cap especially beginning of the game

It depends on whenever you’re gonna fight and The stat of the character some has higher Magic df and some has higher physic df. But form most of the time physical defense are the best due to that most enemy move is physical

How do you increase party influence?
Getting more units and then Leveling those units can increase overall influence. Units can gain even more influence by leveling past the default Level Cap (for example a 4* unit gets +60 Influence at Lv65 and +60 Influence at Lv74.)
Is it for the party attacking or overall account influence?

Can you ever exchange seals you don’t need? Just got a seal of the thunderblade and it’s the only seal I don’t need 😂
In the future, there will be a function to trade in extra unneeded silver seals for Battle-Tested fragments, which can be used to buy more BT weapons.
Should i pull for tressa? Her banner will be ending soon, and I have 700ish rubies saved.
If you like Tressa, go for it :)
If you don't particularly care about her as a character, would probably depend on how good your roster is atm.
@@ShizukatzCotC I mostly have a bunch of 3 stars and some 4 stars and one 4.5 star that came from the traveler's sacred seal, I haven't used any rubies since starting. That 4.5 is scarecrow by the way. Once again sorry for the late reply.

Do you think its a good use of rubies to buy at least 1 hunt a day? or we should wait until we are at much higher lvls to get a better " return " of the rubies used if purchasing an additional hunt?

Rushing hunts will only make you hit the powerlevel wall earlier, wich means you will get frustrated like a bunch of people on discord are right now lol, just do the 5 hunts for weekly mission and slowly stack up your hunt tickets for the achievements missions, then you can follow his intructions in the video to do the hunts for the specific classes or extra drops,again rushing the games content will only frustrate people

you dont need to know Japanese to play on a japanese server ... numbers remain the same ( e.g if you know how much SP the spell/ability costs , you basically know what skill it is ) . Stats are also easy to see which is which .. there is the portrait of the character , even if you dont understand the name... you understand where i´m going , right?
