I'm a Steph and GSW fan, but you gotta give Jokic his respect. Even if the Nuggets had an "easy" opponent in the Finals, he's still a two-time MVP, and he could've gotten a 3rd one if he didn't rest up for the playoffs at the end of the season.

Im canadian, hockey is highly competitive at the international level and people consider canada “the best” even though ice hockey really is a toss up between about 5 countries. As a gsw fan I think the whole nuggets run showcased why jokic right now is the best player in the world. He can do anything you ask of him; rebound, score, assist, shot blocking. I think steph belongs somewhere in the top5 of the league rn.

Sometimes you can't rank players just based on their skills. You have to also consider the success they bring to the team especially in the post season..Sure there are more skilled players but none of them have consistently lead their team to success like Jimmy has done.. Timberwolves made playoffs after years then Philly were one game away from finals and we all know about the heat

Great list. I would also like to shoutout something that Curry does / doesnt do that isn’t directly related to his scoring but the team. Hes undenyably one of the GOATs but he also isn’t afraid to give up the ball to others when they have an open shot and hes in traffic or contribute to an assist, which can’t be said for some stars at all

How much did you factor defense into these rankings?
I genuinely appreciate the storytelling and effort, but it feels painfully obviously defense received very little (or no) weight in these rankings. It also feels you gave counting stats a lot of weight. Players like Lavine, Ingram, and Fox shoudn't even be in the top 30. And Curry below Jokic is plain ridiculous.
Fox was nothing short of amazing last year. I like him where he's at.

And the starters are always the best players in the league. The coaches pick the reserves. They picked Haliburton as one of the top 26 players in the league. Jrue Holiday is the exception. Mitchell is an efficient 28 ppg guy 30 is way to low. Tyrese Haliburton definitely belongs on this list, hes a super elite & efficienct shooter, hes big and long for a point guard, he plays great D, he is a great passer, he doesn't turn the ball over, and he is only going to get better and hes a super efficient 20 and 10 guy now.
