I'm an Independent. Canvassed and voted for Obama though. I liked him right from the start. He came to a small town in the Midwest. I took my family to see him. Brought my elderly mom as well. We couldn't get in as it was booked solid. We stood outside though and listened and when he came out I yelled for him to come over. He did. He walked straight to me. I said
" you're going to make it". We shook hands. Behind me was a group with a banner that read
"Rednecks For Obama". I thought it was amusing and genuinely cool at the same time. My friend happened to be inside the event, walked out and snapped a picture of Obama shaking hands.
