I don't expect to get a lot of views for my recent uploads but I am in a situation where I am not able to focus on the most required content in this channel. While many of you have been patiently waiting for information on Memorial University and other important topics, I am uploading whatever is easy for me instead of taking a break and keeping you waiting. I will be taking some time off in December from my life outside CZcams and I promise I will upload good content in that time.
In this vlog, you will be able to get a view or idea of the less crowded, more affordable towns and cities in Ontario. I also explain a little bit about the winter that is fast approaching and give some tips on how to tackle the not-so-amazing winter in Canada. Also, take a look at the Scottish treat in Ontario during the summer.

My family has lived in or around Cornwall, Ontario since the 1850's, and still lives in Cornwall.
Let me help you with a few facts.
1.) Hospitalization and doctor availabilty in Cornwall is terrible. Minimum 15 hours waiting time at there one hospital.
2.) Cornwall is and old city with old money. Expect an older population.
3.) Cornwall has one (1) big store...Walmart...and they have next to no competition. Shopping is poor.
4.) There is a section of Cornwall, which is dilapilated and poor...the East End.
5.) Getting an apartment is extremely diffricult, expensive. Anything with 2 bedrooms costs over $1,200 a month + utilities.
6.) Being so close to the U.S. border is not an advantage, because of the continuous stream of refugees from the U.S.A.
7.) Cornwall now has a homeless problem and a tent city, which the government quickly moved 11 miles away in the country.
8.) And to top it all off the weather is the worst. Very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer if we have a summer.
9.) Lamoureux Park in Cornwall is littered with dog excrement, or starting in the spring goose excrement.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE:
Once a year they have what is called "RIBFEST." It attracts 10's of thousands of people for 6 days.
The Highland Games are not in Cornwall. They are in Williamstown 25 Km away. But they are worth seeing.
Fishing in and around Cornwall is still excellent; but is now considered poor by the people who have lived here for a life time.
Municiple bylaws are everywhere from how many garbage bags you can put out to the road, to how your trees grow in your yard.
Building in Cornwall is very hard and very diffricult but still possible. Be ready to pay for permits and permits and permits.
Besides all this people still live here and have for hundreds of years. But the youth leave Cornwall as soon as the can, if they can.
Oh! I almost forgot...

Nice. I have a friend who lives in Cornwall with his wife & son, having moved there because of work from Ottawa. Never met the guy face to face but we are online friends since 2007 or so. I have watched some small clips that he uploads to FB. Thanks for this video tour of the place.
Please do a tour in the Summer or Autumn. Your video makes Cornwall look cold and empty. I’m from New York and I can tell you the riverfront/Lameoureux Park is beautiful in the summer.

I was thinking to join st lawrence cornwall as an international student, i was worried for my accommodation and part time jobs to make my living, have surfed accross the web but im still confuse to get my answers regarding it . Can anyone please help me or else i need to drop my decision joining this college in the upcoming intake .
