I have a different take on what luxury items are. I feel it is subjective. If it something that you need to bring to make your trip better or very comfortable than to me it isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Again that is just me. I’ve notice that as I get older (ok, old) some of those things that I considered luxury before turned into necessities now. But at the end of the day I think it’s all subjective. The stove is a good example.
Dan's a smart guy, he knows what's up. The ones in this list that get me are the ones like a hammock is a luxury item if you're using it for sleeping... that would make it a necessity.
