A Year til Sunday is easily the best GAA documentary ever made. Amazing the dates in the '98 Championship. Early Aug for the Connacht final replay, late Aug for the semi final, and 5 weeks later for the final.. Today it's way too rushed. It's the other extreme now where there's not enough time to build up the football and hurling finals properly. The ideal gap is 3 weeks from semi-finals to final. The GAA needs to spread out the intercounty season to give it some breathing room, and push the hurling and football finals to late August. I think this would be ideal.
Soupy’s second point is one of the best points I’ve ever seen. No time to think and on the volley
fully agree, it was magic
There s more in Armagh as well. I feel after the quarter final hoodoo they are playing with a belief and confidence!! They will be so up for this !!
Excellent pod fellas. As usual. Armagh for sam this year!
Ja's the man
i was there was in the stand when ja Fallon scored that point in 98 in was unbelievable
The vote regarding McGeeney in Armagh was 46 for and 16 against. It was Ethan Rafferty who won the road bowls - other than that awesome pod.
100% on the vote. Think I mentioned the Kildare vote that went one against him and confused the numbers. We said Rafferty won the bowls? Was sure we did!
@@tommyrooney_gaa You are correct - Apologies, did not hear Paddy name drop Rafferty and James then mentioned road bowl champion.
@@plualumanevko2194 not at all - thanks for the correction on the Armagh vote!
any chance of roadshow tickets? galway supporter:)
Must have been watching a different game. Kerry got 5 first points directly from sloppy turnovers from Armagh that came from no pressure. Armagh were the better side throughout.
Big Kieran Donaghy has Armagh playing the traditional Kerry style with kicking fast ball into the forwards and Paddy Tally has Kerry playing the Tyrone style with too much emphasis on minding the house.
Kerry players must be so down every time they run out on the pitch for big games no support no encouragement
Lads ,could ya get paddy closer to the microphone ,can't catch much of what he is saying 🙃
It's perfect watching on tv ,just not as good even with too airpods in 😢
@@jamieos2137 Will have a look at this for next week Jamie, apologies about that!
How many teams come back from 5 points down against Kerry Armagh's power won this and will beat Galway Sunday week.
Both second half teams. I agree Galway will need a bigger first half than Armagh alright. Again..I think it's goals that will turn this one and Galway are more likely there.. Loo either way I have a feeling it could be the best final we've seen in years..
O Connor is a negative manager and has Kerry playing with fear ,
Christ lads but Galway still really play football. Hope they take it home and teams emulate them from now on... the latter may be a forlorn hope but the former is a good chance.
Sack Jack. He's 1 from 3 on his return to the championship. Not good enough.
Any tickets for the final going about? 😅🧡🤍
