Miami Lando won not so much because of the Max mistake rather largely because of the safety car. There's a huge difference but it's allowed, in F1 sometimes you need the good fortune to win. As for the engine, I get that they are new to the game, but the fact that they have the benefit of recruiting already experienced people from other teams and retained many from Honda. So it's not something that should be alarming anyone. We just have to wait and see 2026.

Can't make the cars lighter by making a b line for becoming an FE-lite spec series. These new regs will be a massive L. WECs ruleset on the otherhand invites innovation and much less restrictive engine rules like F1 used to be attracting many more manufacturers. The fuel will be completely synthetic yet they're still pushing electric. F1 has lost the plot. It's become a fancy spec series.

Freds strongest point is his PR.
Ferrari have been chasing RB for over a year now, but they have never been able to really put them under pressure. McLaren has had two major updates in the same time and they have really both times got close to RB and even beat them in Miami.
The Ferrari drivers have been very lucky not to crash into eachother. And I do not have the impression at all that Leclerc is happy with how things are going operationally. And they have not really been under pressure at all.
In 2022 Ferrari made mistakes because they were in a real fight with RB for the title. Since Fred arrived they have not been under pressure because they were simply not good enough to challenge at the top. Let’s wait what happens when they do get close to chasing for a title before heaping all the praise on the changes that Fred has made.

The problem F1 has is their limitation in grid slots. This is robbing the young and up and coming drivers as well as teams that could add this diversity to the grid. Elitism has its down sides and F1 is the epitome of this. Further more, drivers are now extending their careers - ( eg. Alonso, Hulkenberg and Hamilton) - as is common place in Indy series - is also putting greater pressure on the youth who are being denied possibilities in the top tier of motor sport. Some of these issues can be resolved in very simple ways which will alleviate some shortfalls but there seems very little desire to address these issues.

    • @peterlistig3861
      @peterlistig3861 Před měsícem

Completely disagree, there is no problem at all with the grid size.
Few years ago a whole bunch of talented kids joined F1 and the next bunch has already a foot in the door.
Athlets in general are on average younger than ever before, F1 is no exeption from that.
20 cars are the sweet spot, adding more cars will most of all add more downsides.
      More diversity? Less elitism? Really???
Skills should matter not wacky social agendas, besides the omnipresent political correct bs F1 is still nothing but elitism.
If you dont like that you maybe should quit watching sport..
Its like doing gambling while despising to rely on chance..
And are you really suggesting to regulate old drivers out of their seats?
I strongly advise you in interest of yourself and your environment to read a book or two about human nature and the dangers of leftism.

I am professionally very closely tied to elite sport so I am very acutely aware of the intricacies of elite sport, the politics surrounding money and the effects this has on sport longevity and inovation within sport. Charles makes too many mistakes and Lewis is not aggressive by default, he only reacts to max and does not instigate aggression, and when he does he alwyas ends up crashing into others or makeing massive errors (Baku, Silverstone, Maimi sprint, Spa 2022 etc)
Max reminds me of young schumacher but a more complete driver, as he does not easily crack under pressure.

@@kondjanegongo796 Charles made less mistakes than Max in 2022. Charles had 3 (imola spin, France crash and Suzuka corner cut) Max had 4 (Spain and Hungary spins, Singapore lock up and ran wide over debris in Silverstone)
And he has made less mistakes than Lewis in both 2022 and 2023.
Charles dominated the first half of 2022.
In the first 13 races (before TD039 made the RB18 dominant), Charles Won 3 races, was dominating/comfortably leading 5 others before Ferrari related fuck ups, and went toe to toe with max in 2 others.
The 3 remaining races he had a spin, a crash and a engine penaltly.
Out of 13 races where Ferrari was good Charles Won/Should have won 8, was equal to Max in 2.
Charles has made only 6 mistakes in 2022 and 2023. Only one of his 2023 mistakes was in the race.
The whole "charles makes mistakes" narrative is absolute BS.
Meanwhile, Russel crashes into every other driver he is in proximity to and Lando has thrown away at least 10 front row starts in the last 20 or so races, and both escape that narrative.
Charles is called mistake prone for one incedent 2 years ago. Max has made more mistakes this year as well (well, one by assassinating that bollard in Miami)
I no longer think Lewis will threaten Max, or Charles at Ferrari for that matter.
I think hes tipped over the edge age wise, and no longer has the raw speed to truly challenge Max,Charles,Carlos and Lando (piastri will join that group when he sorts his race pace out)
