Max returns to the now complete Resident Evil 4 HD project, a mod that replaces all of the in-game textures with high resolution ones! However, that's not all. For the first time, he tackles the game with items and enemies completely randomized! May God have mercy on him.

Ahh, the great (or not) memories of him wasting all his ammo on Mr. X just for science, not reloading the save and then complaining about having no ammo for the rest of the run.

I had once the double chainsaw guy being silent while i was playing mercenaries, even tho it was a bug or something it was the scariest experience for me on RE4, I was in waterworld with Hunk
1:40:00 I find this part so funny because Max destroys the egg and immediately realises what he's done and regrets it.
the dog section was the best. the way they just stared at you when you didnt attack and just left the area had real "you saw nothing. now leave" energy.
One of the most entertaining playthroughs I've seen in a while. Also it's impressive how Max was able to adapt to the random bullshit of this run.

That's the whole reason why people make, play and even watch Randomizers haha, the process of adapting to whatever bullshit the game throws at you is addicting, you never know what kind of run you'll get when you fire up a new playthrough, could be the easiest run ever just like it could be the most bullshit and unfair run of your life.

The reward for the medallions being randomized was quite possibly the most painful part of this entire video. What a fuckin way to end it lmao

The pack of wolves in the gigante arena must retain the aggro of the crows they replaced. As long as you dont startle the crows, the wolves dont aggro. Which is why shooting anything triggered them. Super interesting. I really thought that was going to be a soft lock.

@@bbk9742 And once you trigger the "flying away" sequence by getting too close to the "crows" (or try and shoot them) the AI then switches back to the dog AI pattern.

Oh my god I nearly died laughing at so many points in this, but at the end when he went to all that effort and used 10 shotgun shells to try and get a handgun and it ended up randomising the reward he got I had to pause because I was crying XD

Tripwires get randomized too. Also, the game won't (random) drop ammo for weapons you don't have. This is why you're getting so much Shotgun ammo. It also won't drop an ammo type before the player would normally be able to get the associated weapons, which is why even if you started with a Rifle or TMP, you wouldn't find any ammo for them until they available naturally in 1-2.

Jim Ross is the voice of Wrestling and Paul Mercier is the voice of Resident Evil 4.
Original RE2 Leon is also legendary just as equally I’d say. He owns the rookie Leon role just as good as this Leon owns the cool, updated Leon. Strangely, they’re both named Paul!

Pretty interesting how similar some scenes in RE4 are to Devil May Cry scenes. I know RE 3.5 eventually turned into DMC1, but its influence is obviously visible on RE4. The scene with Leon collapsing and then being fine for the rest of the game really doesn't add anything, and makes no sense, unless you see it through the lens of Dante gaining his devil trigger. The DT is always gained after being seriously or even mortally wounded.
Even the scene with Mendez saying Leon has the same blood as them doesn't work that well, considering Las Plagas infests the blood, sure, but it doesn't necessarily change it. That scene makes a lot more sense when you see it as a line that was originally meant for Dante, who is a demon just like his enemies. And finally, it obviously also explains why Leon is a wise-cracking guy even though the situation doesn't really call for it.
The part where all the dogs were watching max, to escape he literally had to choose peace. Lol

TY FOR POSTING THIS. I already watched the VOD on twitch and it's one of my favorite videos of all time it's so good. Will be much easier to enjoy it here.
What happened with El Gigante boss fight is this:
- As one would expect entering the stage triggered the cutscene.
- However, since the enemy was randomised and it wasn't a Gigante the game simply assumed that the boss was dead, so immediately it played the death cutscene, which made de doors open.
- Then Max spawned in the stage with the doors already opened, but the randomised enemy in place (the enemy was IT from the dropping platforms boss fight).
- Since Max left the area, which he could do because the Gigante death cutscene played, the game considered that part of the game to be already completed since you normally can't get out of there during the fight. So the IT disappeared.
I've been waiting for this. Specifically to watch 1:31:41 over and over again. 😂
To me, this video is just the unintended, yet perfect representation of the hero's journey.

Having never played a Resident Evil game in my life, THIS is incredible to watch.
Recommend resident evil 5 or resident evil revelations they are not as confusing as the other games.
@@ramencakes5196 id recommend he only play RE5 if there's a friend to play with. Its a great co op game but that partner AI makes it soooooo bad.
@@JoJoZiddy the ai is pretty good actually in some parts like it is good with a sniper rifle. I like resident evil 6 the most but I just like the multiplayer on there more.
@@ramencakes5196 I never had that experience. For me it was just "AI gets in the ways, gets killed and uses full restore items when I take like 10% damage".
As for Resi 6... uh... to each their own, and ill just leave it at that.

I watched this whole randomized playthrough via Max's twitch stream replays, and it was so amazing and entertaining I am going to watch it all over again. 5 star stuff. 👍

OH MY FUCKING GOD! I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED SO MUCH. This run is honestly so godly. I would have reset with such bad rng on weapon and ammo without a second thought, but max kept playing despite everything that could go wrong, going wrong. Him coming up with the best solution to all the problems he faced. This is the best shit to watch. He should do more randomized runs, maybe of different games even.
at 44:56, when max sees the floating man has disappeared, you can see the terror settle in Maxs eyes
RE4 still has the most realistic way that anyone could try to take down an evil corporation: the government steps in to ban them from doing public/legal business indefinitely, causing Umbrella to lose money rapidly and basically go defunct instantly.
Not many other stories have that same footnote-detail of realism.
