What’s your favorite Resident Evil game?
I'm still waiting for Agito vs Gaolang. (Please do it with original japanese dubb not with this english abomination).
I wonder if yall have covered any of the fights from the Equalizer franchise. Equalizer 3 has a great fight scene when he takes out a lieutenant of the Mafioso.
The Orginal is better, Loen dies at the beginning and end of the fight in the Remake, Kraseir would have killed him when he tried to drew his gun, in the Original he already has his knife out,and Ada shoots the knife away from Kraseir in the original so you criticize on the mount position, only applies to the Remake
The thing to realize here is that Resident Evil 4 and its remake are products of their respective eras. If the original is made in the spirit of 00s action movies, with tumbling, epic camera flights, maximum epic explosions and other things, the remake is made in the spirit of modern down-to-earth look at media culture. More immersive narrative, more down-to-earth realism, more focus on the characters and their relationships, and everything else is done in the same style.
Hey I love your guys breakdowns, I just wanna add something to the spin move Leon did and Krausers kicks.
A lot of games that dropped when capcom made re4 were based on an engine made for final fantasy. It’s why their skin has that shine to it and why some of their moves are really wierd and front facing. What makes re4 so cool and what made it cool then was the gameplay. At its time there wasn’t any games that could rival graphics for open map shooter with puzzles.
Its audience in Japan and America heard Leon was gonna be the Mc for re4. So in order to help boost poor sales they made him a himbo or action like star. His fights are made to make him look cool and flashy in order to keep the audience happy. In the comics Leon’s knife skills get praised by everyone and Wesker says he the best knife fighter in the world.
From rookie cop to a secret agent who roundhouse kicks parasite controlled villagers and knife fights his former commanding officer. Leon Kennedy, like most RE protagonists, is awesome.
XD Leon saw a zombie outbreak and said 'Nah I'm going to get upgraded as harder as possible'
Amen! 🙏🏽💪
Leon S. Kennedy is better than Chris Redfield. Yes I said it!
@@ScenicFights Chris said a real bad example with his McGwuire-esque antics between games. Talkin about the Roids, Redfield.
Don’t forget parrying a damn chainsaw! 😂

Great point!
One is over the top while the other is more grounded and visceral and they both work that's why RE4 is the greatest game in the series if not all time.
and that's why both are great.
@@surprisedtom8382 exactly
Nice breakdown comrade! o7 You perfectly described the difference between the 2000's and the (so far) 2020's zeitgeist. Both games are just the product of their time.
"Talking smack, nipple in tact"
This how I hope to walk away finishing any fight
*intact
What about the other nipple?
Kinda weird cuz Krauser's knife is actually supposed to be larger than Leon's. Even in game, you can actually reach higher places and hit harder than Leon's primal knife.
Tru that. I wonder if these replicas were made by different companies.
@@ShadowmonkeyOh for sure, they probably didn't even have this detail when making it
Well, the comparison of the replicas is not a great way to compare. Krauser's replica is from the remake, which scaled down and made the knives more realistic. Leon's replica is from the OG, which was more bulky and probably meant to look cool. Edit: The practice knives they use are about the size of Leon's knife in the remake.
if i remember correctly Krauser's Primal Knife supposed to be a 14inch almost machete sized knife
the replica they have is about 9 inch?
Breakdown of Chris Redfield's boulder punch when? 👀👀
Standing here
I realized
you were just like me
trying to make history
The boulder had no grappling. Unfair fight.
His mouth: "For now we're going to use our safety knives for the safety of Chad."
His head: "Ooooh you lucky, boy."
Chad is so lucky lol.
A true Chad doesn't play it safe. He risks it all. And wins. Like a f***ing Chad.
That jacket looks good on Logan.
Thank you! I was trying to find something as close to possible what Leon wears and this is what I was able to find lol.
That's the remake flight jacket
"It's a business expense."
"For a Resident Evil 4 breakdown?"
"Yeah... yes. Yes that's exactly why."
SCENIC FIGHTS IS BACK BABY!!!! The short weapons breakdowns by Logan were nice appetizers but I missed seeing you guys really get into the nitty gritty details. My favorite martial arts channel HANDS DOWN
Something I wish had been addressed about the original fight was the head/body movement of Leon and Krauser. Though the remake has a sequence realistic to the trapping/parrying you perform in Kali training, I think the constant dodging and backing away from the knives from the original fight is more realistic to how 2 people, even trained professionals, would duel it out with knives.
Lmao saying the OG is realistic is asinine asf. Krauser would have killed Leon then and there.
the knife is done by simply slash even in icepick grip because it was huge enough, the realistic in the remake is how the parrying each other and the kick distance, also the lean up standing even in the original
@@jackjax7921this thought process is entirely dependent on an alternate timeline where Ada Wong is slacking and too late to intervene. which does not happen.
You know whats funny ? In the original Leon already pulls out his knife because he felt someone sneaking up on him .
And in the Remake Leon already sees Krauser infront of him . But instead of pulling his knife out he reaches for his gun . At this moment Krauser was already touching his throat with his knife . But doesn't kill him because of... plot .
"Better use knifes next time" .
YESSS . I been waiting for this breakdowns for years ! Leon vs Krauser is one of the reasons i love knife martial arts. Love these longer breakdown, pls make more
Thank you! Which other fight scene would you like to see us breakdown next?
@@ScenicFightsI actually would have loved to see more of a move by move breakdown of the fight bc i thought the movements were nothing short of beautiful! However theh happen so fast, I can't really grasp all they're doing!
1st of all: missed you guys so much.
Second, I physically recoiled when I saw that clip at 15:44. I had the “””pleasure””” of seeing real life clips of people getting stabbed in either the carotid or the femoral artery. The way you bleed and your body reacts when you get stabbed in those areas is absolutely terrifying and disgusting.
Third of all: RE4R was a goated game, and Krauser is the best
That sounds traumatic. I can't even imagine seeing anything like that! Why did you see such terrible footage?
How does the body react? Is it diffr than getting stabbed anywhere else? (I can imagine how it bleeds! 😮)
Hell yeah, finally a long form video! Cant tell you how excited I am for this!
That ending took me by suprise 🤣, great video as always and even better it's resident evil!
But you didn't answer! CAN you stop a chainsaw with a knife? 😂
@@saga2964 with enough guts you would be able to...
*see all your guts spilling to the floor!*
That beret looks pretty good on Chad 😂👌
"can you stop a chainsaw with a knife?"
"wait, wut??" 😂
Me when fighting original Krauser: *gets frustrated by QTEs, but not so much during gameplay*
Me when fighting Remake Krauser: “Bring it on!” 🤜🏼🔪
I read it with Joe's voice when fighting with that giant rat XD
Thank you both for the full breakdown video. It's been a while since you all did one of these 👍🏻
This was such a great analysis, it may be my favourite. Logan being a great teacher and Chad representing the audience. Loved it!
As a hardcore Resident evil fan I enjoyed this video a lot
Thank you ❤
I’ll be watching this tonight because it is one of those “big deal” videos I love, but I already gave my like, your guys ROCK
EDIT: Yup, just as I though, this was one of the more informative videos of you guys, I specifically loved the questions Chad asked for Logan, those were our exactly burning questions
Its been so long since the long format!! YES!! Glad to have this content back!
100% the content I subscribed for. Great fight, great to see it broken down.
Finally a full episode been waiting for these
Y'all are back!!!! So glad to see ya Logan! Chad!
Y'all still owe me Benny The Jet vs John Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank) and Kenichi, History's Strongest Disciple! ;) I can wait.
Smashed the like before the vid even started! Been waiting so long for this!!! Thanks guys!!
Also I was hoping you guys saw or mentioned this but in the remake krauser also threw knives at you you could pray/deflect them
Glad you guys reacted to this 👍🙂👍
Pray? 😅 Did you mean parry?
@@asherink3774 yeah haha 😆 literally my brain was all over the place
Love seeing you guys back! And covering one of my favourite fights, great job!
Glad you enjoyed it! We are always doing CZcams Shorts as well so check those out if you haven’t seen them on our profile!
So glad to have the long form videos back :)
Awesome breakdown! Been waiting for this one since RE4 remake came out
Excellent video guys! Loved the parrying in the remake, it makes it feel like they are getting a feel for each other before getting serious. Like running a drill before sparring.
Always happy to see these full breakdowns especially when it's of one of my favorite games ever!
Really happy to read that you enjoyed it!
been waiting for this video since i played the game on release, always love the videos
Great breakdown. Love this shyet.
I gotta say that the decision of Krauser holding the knife like an icepick happened to reference the original where he uses the knife like that and also because Krauser is toying with Leon since he's stronger/more powerful and more experienced. So he's arrogant and wants to be flashy, that's what I think.
“Talking smack, Nipple in tact”
Ayee yooo 😭🤣
great video! Happy to see full videos back!
Happy to see you here 💪
Been a while since we’ve had a longer-form video like this. Good to see them back. Nice content as always, guys!
Thank you 💪 Let us know which other fight scenes we should breakdown next!
@ScenicFights Please consider doing fight breakdowns from the anime Cowboy Bebop! It has countless fantastic and iconic fight scenes, and the protagonist has a unique free flowing fighting style the show emphasizes a lot. I think it'd be a great fit
@ScenicFights oh sheesh, y’all have done so many, it’s hard to find one you haven’t done lol. Well, I’d kind of like to see Ip Man vs. ten black belts. That wowed me when I first saw it!
gotta love that cosplay, great vid guys, as usual!
I learn so much about knife fighting from this explanation. Very nice explanation, so thanks, Logan & Chad!
To keep up the weapons explanation, hope to see Mira’s fight against Miseon in God of High School
Very verrrrryyyyyyyyyy informative!!! Great video guys!!!!
Great video. Let's see more of this!
Excellent video as always. There's so much to dissect here I understand leaving some things out, amazing work!
Thank you! Yes there is so much more to talk about. I’ll cover it again in the future for CZcams Members.
Thank you very much gentlemen! This video was quite informative.
Great episode guys, nice job as always!
This is where the fun begins!!!! Love the Resident Evil franchise!! Looking forward to this breakdown!! 🙏🏽💪
Brilliant as always, gentlemen. Thank you.
Ayyy a whole video, nice!
When you started playing the OG RE4 cutscene, I began to mumble the dialogue out of reflex
Interesting that this showed up my recommended feed. Like how you really examined the scenes
Happy that you were able to watch it!
I love your breakdown on this fight and I also love your jacket
Great breakdown as always!
Well done, guys. I've been waiting for you guys to break down the scenario between leon and krauser.
We were getting a lot of request on Leon vs Krauser and didn’t know which of the two we wanted to do, so we decided to breakdown both of them lol.
"Can you stop a chainsaw with a knife?" 🤣
great work as always
More than the breakdowns(especially full ones), it's the chemistry I enjoy. Hope y'all have a good weekend
Thank you! Enjoy your weekend too 💪
@@ScenicFights 💪🏽 much appreciated and you're welcome!
Glad to see you back comrades!
Yay, the boys are back! Nice vid as always.
You know it 💪
I love the breakdowns. You guys do an awesome job :)
Thank you for the nice comment! If you want to help us out, share our RE4 breakdown with your friend.
I loved on how you guys managed to recreate the cqc knife scene and how fluid the remake makes it look.
Been loving binging the shorts from this channel, only now watching the longer form videos, and I had a recommendation for a series you all could break down the fights from: Blue Eye Samurai. Lots of katana and and naginata usage in the show.
Great video as always
a full fight breakdown!! let's go!!!
Great video as always, leaving a comment to help with the algorithm. Thanks, fellas!
You rock! Let us know which other fight scenes you would like to see us breakdown next 💪
great video as always, always love coming to watch these vids and seeing Chad being the test dummy lol. also i believe i saw somewhere that they were actually testing out a more realistic knife combat when fighting Krauser so i believe at some point the moves you guys have shown over the years was going to be added but unfortunately i think it was scrapped
Loved this new video!!❤
I've been looking forward to this! 🙏🏽💪
Hope you enjoyed the breakdown!
This was a fun one to be sure. As someone who doesn't do a ton of weapons work, I feel like I learn more from these types of episodes whereas with hand to hand combat, I am sitting a little more in the experienced camp and I can enjoy watching more as a critic.
Awesome breakdown! Can I also just add that Chad is wearing a seriously cool All Might shirt!
Missed these!
finalllyyyyy been waiting so long🎉🎉
Krauser is given a virus that makes him superhuman which explains his high jumps and inhuman speed.
A parasite, las Plagas.
Go back to the game, mate.
Good to see a long format video, is good to acknowledge that is a video game so no need to see some realistic stuff, also love when you guys do cosplay
It’s always fun to do cosplay! It adds a little character to the video breakdowns.
This was impressive. Dope presentation and well conveyed.
Thanks for watching! Don't forget to share with your friends and let us know which fight scene we should breakdown next!
Awesome video! I love it when experts take the time to look at video games, and actually analyze them in a serious manner, because it clearly took a lot of time and effort for the game developers to put those scenes together.
One thing about Krauser, is that since he's super-powered, it's possible he uses a lot of unorthodox techniques because he can afford to, in a way that Leon, as a regular human, cannot. Leon is skilled for sure, but he's not superhuman in the world of Resident Evil. Krauser has enhanced strength, speed, durability, healing, and reflexes, so a headcanon explanation for his over-reaching techniques is that he can afford to throw crazy kicks at Leon, because not only is he likely going to be fast enough to avoid Leon stabbing him in the femoral artery, but the value he gets out of a single kick could potentially be enough to incapacitate Leon. Plus, Leon might not be expecting such wacky techniques; Krauser literally Mario jumps behind Leon to attack him from behind both in the cutscene, and in the gameplay fights; even the most trained professional would be confused as hell, right before getting shanked.
I really like these form of breakdowns and the analysis on smoother skins😂
Yeees! You're baaack!
I know you're planning on doing a breakdown of Paul and Feyd in Dune: Part 2. So let's get'er done. I'd love to see your take on it.
Finally a long break down
Love the RE4 original fight. Fun commentary, guys. I'll be rewatching this video when I try to recreate this scene as a parody!
Came here for the chainsaw question, Guys! lol I love how you dissected this game thoroughly in that knife fight!
Yesss I wanted one about the chainsaw cause in real life; you couldn’t do what leon did
Love that you decided to do both the original and remake instead of just the remake for how new it is
New breakdown!? Why did CZcams not send me a notification? You guys are like the only channel i have the bell turned on for
At least you found it! You can also join our Discord where we notify everyone of our uploads.
Looking forward to more long form reviews!
Love to see you here! And thank you so much for joining our CZcams Membership! It’s really gonna help us get those full breakdowns out. Never be afraid to send us a message 💪
Now THIS is the content I’m looking for 😂😂😂
YAY, a return to long form content! It's one of my favorite childhood games, too! My poor GameCube was running this game on the daily. 😂😂😂
The OG Resident Evil 4 pushed GameCube to the limit! Good times.
Welcome Back! 😁🎉
Great breakdown as always. Ok, now we know how to apply mma for a knoife fight. Now do the same for the guns. I'm talking about gun kata in "Equillibrium", it has some nice cqc exchanges like in Kali, but with 9mm.
19:14 Yikes! 😂💪
This knife fight was so cool.
And I still want to see a breakdown for Nagisa vs. Karma from Assassination Classroom.
Also the Karasuma's Comrade and Nagisa.
Now it's a totally a chad show Today. Nice very cool and super exciting to see after long long gap large breakdown fight . All the best just lot of ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤from India. I was impatiently waiting for the long breakdown for this both duo now it's here 🎉🎉🎉keep it up guys ALLWAYS FUN TO WATCH Y
i could see how krauser is holding back considering they were comrades so maybe he did the ice pick grip as a way of limiting
16:00 while i would generally agree, i'd like to point out that during the usdc championship hosted by rokas of martial arts journey kicks where shockingly effective in their force on force knife sparring. Generally good kicks are hard to catch, especially when someone only has one catching hand available. Your example of a caught kick was a round kick. Krauser primarily used straight kicks, which are harder to catch because theres no arc of travel. Generally round kicks generate more force, but straight kicks tend to be faster and harder to catch while still generating decent force. The main situation in which kicks where useless in this championship was when the armed attacker had a size advantage, as sometimes they would tank the kick to get the better position on the off balanced kicker.
Good Video, lots of fun and intresting informational tid bits from Logan and Kudos to Chad for making a note that both nipples remained intact after the fight. A giant scar on your eye looks cool but a scared nipple... That's weird bro..
I had to make sure people know the importance of the nipples remaining intact after a fight or else it gets weird lol.
I just know Logan is gonna have a fantabulous time in this episode
Edit also Chad looks nice in that beret
GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS! Don't know why youtube just recommended 1 week after...
Appreciate the comment 💪 I'm glad you were able to see and enjoy the breakdown. Make sure to share the video with your friends so they can see it too!
more of these full breakdowns please!!!!
