    The plot from the manual:
"Our heroic trio, Scooby Doo, Scrappy Doo and Shaggy, are enjoying a well earned break aboard the pleasure cruiser "Blue Bell", away from the haunted houses, ghosts, villains, and mysteries...
    OR SO THEY THINK!
As Scooby lies dreaming of munching his way through a second box of Scooby Snacks, a menacing black shadow looms above. In a flash, the evil Baron Von Drak whisks the trembling Scooby and Shaggy from their sun loungers, carrying them far across the ocean to his lair, the "Isle of Sorrows".
And so another adventure begins. Scrappy Doo, our hero, remains stranded on the "Blue Bell" and must save the day. A mammoth task lies before him and he needs all your help to free uncle Scooby and Shaggy from the clutches of the evil Baron."
Not too hard, or easy... just right. Plenty of lives as you get an extra one every time you've collected 15 Scooby Snacks. The game has continues as well.
Can be played with music or just sound effects. I alternate between (first level music, next sfx...). M for music, F for sfx.
Each level has a secret bonus area. I only showed those I stumbled upon as I didn't care to look for them. There's secret bonuses scattered all over the levels and you punch to find them. Here's a nice one: 15:44. As always, I don't care about the score, thus don't pick up all the items or look for the bonus areas (they are nothing special anyway).
09:20 - Didn't need to go here, but did just to show the door. Makes me think it's used or something as it kinda looks... suspicious.
12:25 - "SMEG HEAD" - I only know this from Red Dwarf (awesome sci-fi show... seen all seasons/episodes/movies/interviews/bloopers/behind the scenes). So guess the developers were fans :), unless Red Dwarf didn't come up with it. Apparently "smeg" is "sperm" :). Love when they were asked what it meant once during one of their stage appearances when they were taking questions from the audience, and just left without answering it :P... think they crawled on the floor to the nearest exit or whatever it was :)
12:55 - Can clip through the wall here, but can't jump further out than like 3-4 tiles, then you just fall until you hit ground somewhere below where you can get back in and climb up again.
16:21 - Waited a bit at the start of this level before turning on the music so we can hear the lightning.
The game has a secret code which you can enter on the title screen to play Stig the rat. This character was the original one for this game. The info I was given on HoL (Hall of Light) is not correct. It says just to type it on the title screen, but I learned from Lemon Amiga that it's "stig the rat 2". Lemon Amiga said to either type with or without the 2. In my case it only worked with 2. But, at first the code didn't work. Turns out you have to start a game first, then return to the title screen (pressing ESC is fastest) for it to work. Maybe it works with some Amiga version without using "2" and starting a game first. I played with the WHDLoad version.
I show the code activation, a little bit of gameplay with Stig, how you can get stuck when you run out of power, and the game over part - in a small extras video here: • Scooby-Doo and Scrappy...
Shouldn't have recorded the credits part in the beginning, only the picture (2nd picture) before the credits appeared, as they show the same credits in the end anyway.
    00:49 - Level 1
    05:28 - Level 2
    08:38 - Level 3
    10:29 - Level 4
    16:16 - Level 5
    19:43 - Level 6
    21:32 - Level 7
    24:17 - Level 8
    28:00 - The boss -

Not at all what I’d expected for a soundtrack for a Scooby Doo game but I love it.

It is pretty good, you'd think it'd sound corny for Hanna-Barbera.

Gonna admit; I did not expect this quality of... well, _anything_ when I saw there was a Scrappy Doo game on the Amiga. But both the sound and visuals are really good. Definite one of the nicest looking Hanna Barbera sidescrollers from that time, and they actually had quite a few thanks to some solid Jetsons and Flintstones games. This still looks like a standout though

Amen to that. In fact, if not for Scrappy, Scooby-Doo would not be milked to death today with DTV movies and new cartoons as well as a new movie coming out in the summer.

It’s sad that people liked that Scrappy Doo was on the list of TheTopTens (which, TBF, could have massive improvement by having no henry_danger_is_great nor other cyberbullies of the site) “Top 10 Things That Should Stop Getting Hate” along with Sonic ‘06, Princess Peach, Jar-Jar Binks, McDonalds, Minecraft, Donald Trump, Serena (Pokemon anime), The Loud House and etc. Power to you if you are okay with them, but for them to be considered “flawless” would be objectively wrong.

Dang, a Scooby Doo game have Scrappy Doo as the main character is kinda random to see it existed. Too bad that Scrappy Doo getting hated terribly, he should deserved another chance.

I want agree with you but Scrappy is the most annoying character in Scooby Doo, always get trouble and don't think twice which only give trouble for his uncle, don't get me wrong I also like Scrappy but at same time I find his behaviour so annoying, that why I have mixed feeling when I found out Scrappy is the villain in Scooby Doo 2002 live action movie.

    • @jeremyriley1238
      @jeremyriley1238 Před 4 lety +1

I agree with you. The Scrappy hate has gone too far, and Warner Bros. needs to either wise up and stop catering to the Scrappy haters or fire the executive heads who side with them and replace them with someone who will give Scrappy another chance.

    • @kieranstark7213

Jeremy Riley People would rather give Scrappy-Doo a chance if he were a different character like how he was in the early 90s game with Scooby and Scrappy as the titular characters.

Interesting how out of all Scooby show to base an Amiga game off of, they picked The Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo Show. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just saying it's just a weird choice. Even weirder that it came out in 1991 considering that by the time this game released, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (a show that doesn't even include Scrappy) would've either been airing it's last couple episodes or would've already finished it's original run so why'd they made a game based off an older show featuring a character not in the currently running show is beyond me.
