  • Having just picked up this virgin cyber grey metallic C6 Grandsport, I want to take care of it as best as possible. I find it crucial to make the catch can a first round mod to any LSX motor. Dive into this video and find out why, how it helps, and just how easy it is to install this great piece of insurance.

    Do you have the part number available for the one you installed ?

      I got a bit of a custom setup because it’s a can that is currently in the development process. However it should be released by now. Give UPR a call, ask for Steve the CatchCanMan, tell him Mr. LSX sent you and he will hook you up with the kit for your needs!

    I have seen some setups that include additional lines from sump tank to valve covers, what's that for

    • @MrLSX
      @MrLSX  Před rokem +1

      That’s possibly a completely different setup for a dry sump system. As far as anything without a dry sump, intake manifold and valley cover are easiest ways to plug into.

    How do I drain the catch can

      One would want to carefully unscrew the can and empty at each oil change.

    Dude. Thanks for the video. MOVE CAMERA LESS. It is annoying, disconcerting, to have the camera lens track e-v-e-r-y movement of your hand.

    • @MrLSX
      @MrLSX  Před rokem

      Appreciate the opinion, but it’s a POV shot to show every little detail.

      @@MrLSX yeah, I can see the value of that. Watching your excellent video did make me feel like I was in an ocean-going boat sloshing towards a rendezvous to play the whale worshiping at the porcelain alter uttering “ralph” with every ultra speedy pan. My catch can is different than yours and came with no installation instructions and so I’m tryin’ to figure what the manufacturer intended the mount to bolt to. Yours is the 3rd video I watched and the only one that made me feel like I was on the ocean instead of the blacktop. Keep the rubber side down.

      @@MrLSX I understand the goal. With that amount of motion the goal of showing every little detail isn't achieved. If you're going to do these live man-on-the-street gonzo-journalism style, perhaps invest in a cheap motion stabilizer like those from DJI? It would help viewers see more detail, and keep their lunch down at the same time. A win-win!
