Along with a whole new take on the Skirmish Mode & Galactic Conquest. This is NOT a Thrawn's Revenge 2 and is it's own mod.

      Love the mod, but even on high, lets be honest the explosion effects need a bit of work. Hope you guys can implement the new VFX from EaW Expanded into Thrawns Revenge / FoTR. Also the effects in AoTR looks great (minus the lens flares), maybe some collab could happen?
      Your teams mods are def my favorite in terms of gameplay and ships, but i wish the VFX was a bit more fleshed out =)

    Hey Charlie to expound a bit on the fighters/bombers/interceptors and balance in general and why things like the anti fighter ships weren't dying in the first part of your fight
    These will be generalizations
    Interceptor: Fast, light armor/shields, 2 lasers and a missile launcher, Best for taking out fighters then zipping away from a battle until more fighters come in. (Droid Tri fighters/A-wings etc) By moving them against fighters first you protect your bombers, by moving them out when there are no fighters you save them from being torn to shreds by anti fighter ships which is very effective on their low hull/shields.
    Fighter: Medium speed medium armor/shields, 4 lasers and a torpedo/missile launcher, Best for hanging around in the battlespace, and hunting bombers, secondarily if they have torpedo's and no bombers to attack use them to kill anti fighter things by swarming the anti-fighter ships with them.
    Bomber: Slow, high armor/shields, lasers/ion cannons/Torpedoes You know what they do. But funnily enough, they are often the best thing to counter anti fighter ships
    Corvettes: Smaller hard to hit vessels for most guns in the game designed to clear away interceptors to keep your fighters alive so they can attack bombers. These tend to "tank" ship fire by causing them to miss. Missiles and torpedoes are best, alternatively fighter strafing swarms. Most ships aim for the "center" of a ship, which means ships that are thin in the middle (like Corellian corvettes) tend to be missed. If you want an example, take a Pelta support ship and 5 corvettes or Arquitens or whatever, and park them infront of your fleet when enemy destroyer/capitals come in, the AI will waste the whole fight attempting to shoot the corvettes.
    Frigate: Generally meant to combat corvettes (but tend not to be able to hit those) they can work as cheap extra firepower to give a ship an advantage, or distract guns long enough to give a bigger ship an edge. Most things in EAW if not ordered to attack something directly will attack closest targets meaning you can put corv/frigates first to give yourself an advantage
    Destroyer(ship class): Meant to be your earliest "big" ships, tend to focus mostly on firepower. Good for early tanking and later extra damage for a bigger ship
    Capital ship: The bigger ships, usually specialized in either tanking or dishing damage. Bring these into fights when bombers have been cleared as much as possible. They tend to fall very quickly if bombers aren't prioritized. Star Destroyers fall into this despite the name.
    Carrier: Tanky/extra damage beyond what fighters/bombers they bring.
    For me, the bombers should be your total focus in a fight more so than your ships. Enemy has more bombers you aren't dealing with? You lose. Enemy isn't managing his bombers well when you are? You win. You can direct bombers to attack once to drop shields in FOTR, which allows the lasers from your ships to be effective (Lasers take damage penalties to shields) Once the shields are down, move the bombers onto something else. They do much more good taking shields down, than waiting 15 seconds to do some hull/subsystem damage which lasers will constantly do while they reload and fly out to do another run. Generally across all mods, your bombers are the focus of your offense, and ships tend to focus on defense over attack.
    In Star Wars lore there was actually a single B-wing squadron that took out a Star Destroyer in the Battle of Endor, called Blade squadron. www.starwars.com/news/blade-squadron-part-one If that doesn't tell you how important they are meant to be, I don't know what will. 8P

    That first game was a mess XD but the big issue with those hardshells was Corey jumped in with a venerator in the path of your rockets so the rockets went into his Ven. Instead of your target.
