  • This is the first of a series of narrated videos, that I am planning to post every Monday. In today's video I am talking about the importance of understanding what it means to be self-taught and how to do it the right way, while demonstrating one of my favourite sketching techniques.
The artist I mention in this video is Glenn Vilppu, I highly recommend you check his work!
I am using: a TWSBI GO fountain pen with an EF nib, Robert Oster ink in Graphite & a water brush.

Your videos aren't terrible at all, I've found them to be inspiring and insightful.

I haven’t tried to draw a horse since I was a kid. But your videos make me want to try again. I needed a subject to practice with pen & ink, which I never had growing up, and I like your style. Thank you, for doing these videos.

This is so kind and I'm happy this is what motivates you to start practicing! I have been very busy this summer, but I am planning a horse drawing video very soon!

I like coming back to this video to see a good example of how fountain pens can be amazing art tools...and how versatile the inks are with sketches.
