Every mid-month or so, I do my best to host an open invite camping trip to provide folks with any useful information about gear setup, vehicle preparedness as well as any experience share to get the necessary knowledge out there so others can come out and enjoy the outdoors no matter what season of the year!

You are lucky guy, is not easy to get a group of friends who love doing some "crazy" things like camping in winter in Oregon or weherever is cold, full snow... friends who like driving on this conditions and enjoy it!!! Great videos always!!!
it is hard... but not impossible... Just returned from the February trip - great turnout - great company... over 35 vehicles...
My friends are exactly like that.

I'm not trying to be "pro" in video, as I'm just an amature recorder, but I do my best to pass on the feel of "adventure" in my trips, creating content is easy as pushing record button, but creating content that people like - is more complicated than just having a good camera equipment... :)

Love your videos. Would you consider doing some with gear checks. Showing and reviewing what you camp and cook with. Maybe how you pack it as well.

We are heading up to elk lake this sunday the 28th! first snow run since I straight axle swapped my s10. Hopefully we see lots of snow. Someday I hope to see you on the trail. Best regards. Happy trails!
Sunday expected higher snow levels, might be melting away... :) If no one breaks trail mid-week, might be a good chance that you wont make it up there, as around +2ft expected this week!

well, we broke trail all the way to pucker ridge. Had a go,, and decided to turn tail. Only a few snowmobile tracks looked to have made it around the ridge. Good 4 or 5 foot drift, and we didn't want to risk it.

how long did it take him to get the fire going?
Not long... considering that we didnt have any dry wood from stores, just whatever was found in the woods near by.
U should do a walk around of your jeep and tell use what modifications are most important to do what u do. Also are there certain engines that I would want or model years of Jeep Rubicon?
There is one on my channel - look through the list from past summer...

You are bringing up a very common question/confusion from lots of others...
3 totally different vehicles (wheelbase/options/ride quality/capabilities/prices)... so I would have to say its not a fair comparison - like comparing tomatoes, grapes and oranges... :) all taste good, but very different...
When it comes to choosing a vehicle, you start with "general purpose" and bounce off that...

Hi there. I've been meaning to ask: when going through so much deep snow so many times in your JK, have you ever had problems with the transmission or transfer case from the extra load of pushing through the snow? Thanks much.
I'm sure its not easy on components, but I do regular maintenance on my vehicles, to make sure all is well and everything working as it should. Some components/fluids get changed more often since they get used a lot more than on a usual "pavement" vehicle.
Mostly tho, as long as you dont overheat transmission and know your limits, you should be okay, but nothing is eternal - for sure!

Niva is great... it is legendary in a certain sense as well... I've thought about bringing one here and see what I could do with it.
@budnixon great video , made me jealous and wish I were there with a new Jeep LOL. I will hit you up tomorrow with my contact info , so I can consult about my jeep option suggestions. Maybe someday I will drive out there from here on the east coast.

In one of your other videos you did an equipment run down. Are you using the portable twin arb air compressor? If you are what is your opinion of it?
Yes Sir, one with the gallon reservoir tank and dual compressors in that kit... going on 5 years strong - no issues, does the job right and fast. Only thing not to forget is to empty all air when all done - otherwise you'll run into the issue of lines rusting up due to condensation if in long term storage... (happened with me)
